Camila x Keaton
Camilla: Wyvern Rider/Dark Mage/Fighter
Keaton: Wolfskin/Fighter/Wyvern Rider
Velouria: Wolfskin/Fighter/Wyvern Rider
Mods: +5 Str, 0 Mag, 0 Skl, +1 Spd, -1 Lck, +4 Def, 0 Res
Now, this pairing is one I’ve seen talked a lot about quite a bit. And looking at those class pools and stat modifiers, it’s pretty easy to understand why - you’re stacking everything into that Strength so this wolf child can tear her enemies apart with big bruiser classes! What this pairing lacks across the board, it makes up for by pumping everything into Strength and Defense - +5 Strength and +4 Defense is nothing to scoff at!
Unfortunately, the trade off is found in the rest of her modifiers; three 0 modifiers in Magic, Skill, and Resistance aren’t amazing, though an argument could be made that none of those but Skill are stats she really cares about. And at least they aren’t negative! Probably best to let Velouria stick to dealing with physical foes anyway, however. Now then, on to the class and skill sets!
Camilla (Berserker)
Axefaire
Sol
Lifetaker
Lunge
Savage Blow
Notes: I’ll be honest - this is something of a strange set. This combination of skills probably looks a little weird, though that class certainly fits Camilla. Axefaire (when user is equipped with an Axe, damage +5 during battle) certainly fits, given Berserker can only wield axes, and Axefaire is here in order to further pump the kinds of damage Camilla should be doing. Sol (Skill% chance of restoring half the damage dealt to the enemy) and Lifetaker (when user triggers the battle, recover 50% HP after defeating the enemy) are both present in order to keep Camilla healthy, letting her heal off any of the damage she’ll be taking as she sweeps through the enemy lines. Lunge (select the “Lunge” command to swap places with an enemy after an attack) allows Camilla to more easily break up enemy ranks, letting her get at softer targets even more easily so that she can do her job. And finally, we’ve got Savage Blow (when user triggers the battle, enemies within a 2 tile radius have their HP reduced by 20% after the battle), which will help soften up tougher foes that Camilla couldn’t reach this turn. Don’t worry; they’ll be dead next turn!
Velouria (Wyvern Lord)
Axefaire
Trample
Odd Shaped
Better Odds
Bowbreaker (passed down from Camilla)
Notes: Again, something of a strange set we’ve got here. But I think you’ll find that this new airborne Velouria can be a terror of the skies, raining death (and maybe a dash of justice?) from above! Axefaire is here, as always with the -faire skills, in order to increase damage. The next two skills are here for a similar purpose; Trample (unless enemy is on a mount, damage +5) and Odd Shaped (during odd-numbered turns, damage +4) can both stack the amount of damage Velouria can do in a single blow massively, up to +14 against a foot soldier on every other turn! Better Odds (recover 40% HP at the start of odd-numbered turns) gives Velouria some breathing room, recovering some health so she doesn’t need to fly back for healing quite so often, while Bowbreaker (Hit rate and Avoid +50 when the enemy is equipped with a Bow) gives her a fighting chance against any snipers who would seek to pick her out of the sky.

Hello there! Yes, yes, I’m still alive, although those of you who have sent in requests that have gone unanswered for so long probably aren’t so happy to see me popping in without answering them. I simply haven’t had the time or drive to respond to them in quite a while; I may come back to them to offer my advice on making the most of those pairings, but I don’t think that will be for a little while yet.
In the meantime, well, I’d like to actually interact with my followers a bit. There’s still 62 of you who have stuck it out with me, through all the dry spells and unannounced and unwanted hiatuses... I’m honestly a little humbled by this, even though I can reason that realistically it’s because you’ve forgotten you even followed this blog, haha.  So, in this period without my analyses, feel free to send in questions, or throw more requests for pairings you’d like me to run through when I can properly get back to that. And, actually, as I type this message up, I’m telling you now that you can expect a pairing analyzed sometime today - and I think it’s one some people will be pretty happy to see, since it’s a pairing that I’ve heard is pretty popular in Conquest!

Could you explain me on what I have to base on my decision about pairing, please? I mean, If I have to raise kids strenghts or pair up parents with same class attitude, so melee, ranged, magic and so on, or what...
You can make your decision about pairings on anything you want! In general, if you want to have “decent” kids, its generally a good idea to pair parents with similar aptitudes - so, say, a mother and a father who are both physical fighters will likely result in a kid who has at least decent stats for physical combat (or at least decent Strength).
But, really, like I said - you can make pairings based on anything you want! If you have a question about a specific pairing, you can certainly look at the math and see how a kid will turn out, but... If you’re more interested in just pairing up characters who you think have good or decent chemistry, go for it! This blog was never designed to care about “optimal” pairings, after all.

Note
just started revelations and I am planning on making this my endgame save file. I want the best pairings for the strongest children. what is the proper list for unit optimization. I would like the pairings to be focused on any hard dlc and pvp. what would the best pairings be
I’m afraid that I just don’t know the answer to this question! Even if I did, ultimately I don’t think this is the right blog for this question. While there are going to be mathematically “superior” pairings, and there is probably a list floating out there that has the proper pairings for the highest number of optimal children with the best modifiers and great skills...
... Well, this blog is here to make the most of the pairings that are presented! So even the sub-optimal pairings are considered, and while I may struggle to find a way to make the best of them, I’ll still try my hardest, because this is a video game and sometimes people just want to see two cute characters smooch without worrying that their baby isn’t going to be very good. I think it would defeat the purpose of this blog if I just had a post here that had the “correct” pairings!

Hello! Your pairings analysis is amazing! I'm currently on my first Birthright playthrough and I'm considering pairing Ryoma with Azura. If it's not too much trouble, can you tell me what the benefits are? Thank you so much!
Ryoma: Samurai/Sky Knight
Azura: Songstress/Sky Knight/Samurai
Shigure: Sky Knight/Troubadour/Samurai
Mods: +2 Str, +1 Mag, +4 Skl, +5 Spd, +2 Lck, -4 Def, -1 Res
Shiro: Spear Fighter/Samurai/Sky Knight
Mods: +2 Str, +1 Mag, +4 Skl, +5 Spd, +2 Lck, -4 Def, -1 Res
A marriage between royalty! How delightful! Though I suppose I wish there wasn't that part where they grew up together
I suppose its no worse than any of the royal marriages that happened in real life, though. I bet Shiro looks interesting with Azura's hair color!
As for the mods
Well, the children of royals would probably have some extreme stat modifiers, right? To get the bad out of the way first, Shiro and Shigure are going to have to stomach that -4 Defense modifier; these kids are going to be frail. Luckily, however, they've got +5 Speed and +4 Skill modifier to work with, and those are nothing to scoff at! As far as their offenses go, a simple +2 Strength modifier may not be much to look at compared to the extremes, but it's not bad either! Now then, on to the class and skill sets!
Shigure (Swordmaster)
Swordfaire
Life and Death
Duelist's Blow
Darting Blow
Astra
Notes: Go big or go home! Swordfaire (when user is equipped with a Sword, damage +5 during battle) from Swordmaster and Life and Death (during battles, damage +10 and damage received +10) from Master of Arms give this singer a bite as beautiful to behold as his voice is to hear. Duelist's Blow (when user triggers the battle, Avoid +30) from Samurai will help to avoid that nasty +10 damage received from Life and Death, at least during the player phase, and is also just a useful skill to have to ensure your offense doesn't go too disastrously. Darting Blow (when user triggers the battle, follow up attack speed +5) from Sky Knight will help to ensure that Shigure is able to maximize the benefits from Swordfaire and Life and Death, while Astra (Skill x 0.5% chance of triggering 5 consecutive hits with half damage) from Swordmaster gives Shigure a fun activation skill to work with that can deal some serious damage.
Shiro (Falcon Knight)
Lancefaire
Amaterasu
Seal Strength
Seal Defense
Seal Speed
Notes: While Shiro may not exactly have the stats to pull off the "healer" gig, Falcon Knight does give him slightly better stats and access to a higher Lance rank than Kinshi Knight! Lancefaire (when user is equipped with a Sword, damage +5 during battle) from Spear Master gives Shiro that lovely damage boost with no drawback, and then Amaterasu (allies within a 2 tile radius recover 20% HP at the start of the user's turn) from Kinshi Knight allows Shiro to provide some healing support to any allies nearby! Seal Strength, Seal Defense, and Seal Speed (after battle, enemy's Strength/Defense/Speed -6) from Master of Arms, Spear Fighter, and Spear Master (respectively) are all great support skills for a Shiro who gets into the thick of it, as he can effectively nerf any physical-based foes for his own allies.

Ok!! Thanks for the explanation on the fates class system :D So, does that mean that the other children may inherit the noble classes?
Ack! I’m so sorry about not getting to this question earlier - I must not have seen it between the other pairing analysis requests! However, that said, yes - Corrin/Kamui/the avatar’s class, Nohr Prince(ss), will be passed down to all of their children!
... So you can get terrifying wolf/fox-dragon child abominations! Hooray for fantasy!

Forgive the secondary ask but perhaps another pairing that I would love to see analyzed is Oboro X Kaden! (or Nishiki as you may know him)
Kaden: Kitsune/Diviner/Spear Fighter
Oboro: Spear Fighter/Apothecary/Diviner
Selkie: Kistune/Diviner/Spear Fighter
Mods: +3 Str, 0 Mag, -1 Skl, +4 Spd, +1 Lck, 0 Def, +2 Res
Hm. I must say, I've never really considered this pairing before! I'll have to read their Supports sometime, but seeing as I absolutely adore Oboro, I'm sure I'll enjoy them at least a little bit. I wish I had more to say here, but I suppose I'll just move on to the numbers.
Stand outs in Selkie's resulting modifiers are a +4 Speed and a +3 Strength modifier - not too shabby, so long as she sticks to a physical class. Actually, across the board, Oboro!Selkie's mods aren't bad at all; the only negative is a -1 Skill.
Selkie (Basara)
Tomefaire
Lancefaire
Rend Heaven
Quixotic
Seal Speed
Notes: Basara is
An interesting class, that's for sure, but this Selkie might just have what it takes to make the most of it. Tomefaire (when the user is equipped with a Tome, damage +5 during battle) from Onmyoji and Lancefaire (when the user is equipped with a Lance, damage +5 during battle) from Spear Master are pretty standard damage boosters, and let her switch between the two weapon types available to her without worrying about losing the boost. Rend Heaven (Skill x 1.5% chance of adding half the enemy's Strength/Magic (depending on what weapon type they have) as damage) from Basara is a decent activated skill, especially since Selkie can switch between weapon types on the fly in order to try to get the most of it. Quixotic (user and enemy's Hit rate +30 and skill activation rate +15% during battle) more than makes up for the small negative Skill modifier Oboro!Selkie has, making Rend Heaven more likely to activate. And finally, we've got Seal Speed (after battle, enemy's Speed -6) from Spear Master, which further capitalizes upon Selkie's naturally high Speed and provides a bit of support for her allies by crippling any enemy Selkie fights!

Sorry if this has been requested already! But could you do Hayato/Sakura? Specifically in Birthright! :o
Hayato: Diviner/Oni Savage/Monk
Sakura: Shrine Maiden/Sky Knight/Diviner
Rhajat: Diviner/Oni Savage/Shrine Maiden
Mods: +1 Str, +4 Mag, -1 Skl, +4 Spd, +2 Lck, -1 Def, 0 Res
I can understand this pairing, honestly, and it's probably one of the
Less creepy ones for Sakura AND Hayato, regardless of how old they're supposed to be. Plus they're two of the magic sort of characters you'll be getting in the game, one a healer and the other a caster - the pairing is a pretty logical one! And, as expected, Rhajat certainly enjoys what she gets from them.
While a -1 penalty to her Skill and Defense aren't the best, two +4 modifiers are nothing to scoff at, especially when one of them is to your primary attacking stat! That +4 Magic and Speed is just a very nice gift.
Rhajat (Onmyoji)
Tomefaire
Seal Resistance
Counter
Renewal
???
Notes: This is a fairly simple Rhajat, in all honestly. Tomefaire (damage +5 when the user wields a Tome) from Onmyoji is your standard damage increasing skill, while Seal Resistance (after battle, enemy's Resistance -6) from Oni Savage gives her the chance to do even more damage the next turn (especially when combined with her personal skill, which increases her damage by +4 against foes she's already fought against on that map). Counter (when an adjacent enemy triggers the battle and inflicts damage, the enemy receives the same damage) from Oni Chieftain is a great skill for punishing enemies who decide to get too close for comfort. Renewal (recover 30% HP at the start of the player's turn) from Priestess is an amazing skill for increasing your chances of survival when there isn't another healer nearby. And that brings us to our last skill slot
Honestly, you can fill this one with whatever you have access to, most likely from whatever S or A+ Supports she has. If she marries Dwyer, Live to Serve or Rally Resistance are both interesting skills for supporting the characters around her, while marring Asugi gives her access to Replicate to allow her to work her magic from two places at once!

Can you do an outline for Subaki x Selena please?
Subaki: Sky Knight/Samurai/Mercenary
Selena: Mercenary/Sky Knight
Caeldori: Sky Knight/Samurai/Mercenary
Mods: -1 Str, +1 Mag, +2 Skl, +1 Spd, 0 Lck, +5 Def, 0 Res
Ah yes, the so-called "canon" mother for Caeldori! Those red locks certainly suit the young Sky Knight. I can't speak to the pairing itself, though I can't imagine it does any good for Selena's self-esteem

Let's take a look at these modifiers! -1 Strength stings a bit, but it's nothing major. What really surprises me here is that +5 Defense modifier though! With an exceptional modifier like that, it would be a waste to do anything other than capitalize upon it - as such, I'll show off two different builds, one of which makes use of Caeldori's A+ Support slot.
Caeldori (Hero)
Swordfaire
Life and Death
Vantage
Sol
Darting Blow
Notes: Most of the skills on this list are ones I would consider your "bread and butter" skills - it makes use of some great skills which, if a character has access to them, they should probably at least think about using. You've got your standard -faire skill with Swordfaire (when user is equipped with a Sword, damage +5 during battle) from Swordmaster and Life and Death (during battles, damage +10 and damage received +10) from Master of Arms, which come together to give Caeldori a whopping +15 damage per hit. Vantage (at the start of battle, when the user had under half HP, they attack first) from Samurai makes her a dangerous presence on the battlefield even on the enemy phase. Sol (Skill% chance of restoring half the damage dealt to the enemy) from Hero is great for healing off any of that extra damage she's taking from Life and Death, but don't do anything too risky! Finally, Darting Blow (when user triggers the battle, follow up attack speed +5) rounds off the list with a decent skill that lets you wield those heavier, more powerful weapons without fear of it wrecking your chances to hit twice, and let you double against anyone you tie Speed with.
Caeldori (Great Knight) (A+ Sophie for Cavalier)
Swordfaire
Sol
Seal Strength
Armored Blow
Warding Blow
Notes: And here we have that set that capitalizes on Selena!Caeldori's glorious +5 Defense modifier. Swordfaire and Sol make their return from the set above, for most of the same reasons (Sol is back to let Caeldori heal off any of the damage she can't tank, rather than healing the extra damage from Life and Death). Seal Strength (after battle, enemy's Strength -6) from Master of Arms is an interesting skill that will effectively make even more attacks bounce off her armor, as well as helping to soften the blows her allies will be taking as well. Armored Blow (when user triggers the battle, physical damage received -10) from Great Knight and Warding Blow (when user triggers the battle, magical damage received -20) from Falcon Knight are both very potent abilities that allow Caeldori to get into the thick of it on the player phase with even less to worry about - Warding Blow especially is great for covering up her issues with handling magical attacks.

Hello~! Can I request Laslow and Selena?
Laslow: Mercenary, Ninja, Sky Knight
Selena: Mercenary, Sky Knight, Ninja
Soleil: Mercenary, Ninja, Sky Knight
Mods: +1 Str, +1 Mag, +2 Skl, +2 Spd, +2 Lck, +1 Def, 0 Res
An understandable pairing for those that like the idea of pairing up two of the Awakening characters! As far as what it does for Soleil, it does give her access to the Sky Knight class, which otherwise is locked to Shigure and Azura’s other child in this game’s second generation (if you’re playing Conquest). I can imagine that Soleil would look pretty good with Selena’s red hair as well!
As for her modifiers, there’s nothing truly exceptional - but no major pitfalls either. +1 Strength is probably more important than the +1 to Magic, given Soleil’s only magic class in this scenario is Falcon Knight (and that only gives her staves). However, the +2 to both Skill and Speed is pretty nice! The lack of any negative modifiers helps to offset how so-so these modifiers are.
Soleil (Kinshi Knight)
Lethality
Air Superiority
Darting Blow
Sol/Camaraderie
Replicate
Notes: Unfortunately, the skills Soleil has access to, with Selena as her mother, without marriage or an A+ Support don’t exactly come together to form anything obviously stellar
But that isn’t to say that she doesn’t have anything to work with either. Lethality (Skill x 0.25% chance of instantly defeating the enemy when dealing 1 or more damage) from Master Ninja can help alleviate some of the problems Kinshi Knights might face when it comes to raw damage output. Air Superiority (Hit rate and Avoid +30 when facing Flying enemies) from Kinshi Knight cements the class’s role as an anti-air aerial class and makes Soleil a true terror in the sky. Darting Blow (when user triggers the battle, follow up attack speed +5) from Sky Knight allows her to wield heavier weapons without worrying about screwing up her ability to hit twice (thus giving her more chances to activate Lethality or Sol). Sol (Skill% chance of restoring half the damage dealt to the enemy) from Hero gives Soleil some extra survivability, but if you’re worried about running two activation skills, Camaraderie (Recover 10% HP at the start of the user’s Turn if there are allies within a 2 tile radius) from Sky Knight is a guaranteed, albeit small, form of recovery so long as you keep Soleil near someone. And finally, Replicate (select the “Replicate” command once per map to create a replica with the same appearance, stats, inventory and HP as the user) from Mechanist rounds out this red-haired girl lover’s skill list with an all-around useful skill - it even works well enough with Camaraderie, since you can let the one of the newfound duo fly around, doing their anti-aerial work, while the other stays near the rest of the army to receive that 10% healing (and possibly actual healing from staves, if you brought a healer along).

Always pleasant to meet a fellow optimizer,Anyways care to give a good build on Hana X Flannel?
Hana: Samurai, Shrine Maiden, Fighter
Keaton: Wolfskin, Fighter, Samurai
Velouria: Wolfskin, Fighter, Samurai
Mods: +5 Str, +1 Mag, 0 Skl, +2 Spd, 0 Def, +1 Res
All in all, there’s not much to say about this pairing... Other than that it works out pretty well if you want to use Velouria as any non-magical class. Of course, Velouria is a beast...
Velouria (Master of Arms/Hero)
Swordfaire
Axefaire
Vantage
Life and Death
Better Odds/Sol
Notes: While Berserker is always the obvious choice for Velouria (and for good reason - she excels in the class), why not take advantage of the raw power she has available? Swordfaire (when user is equipped with a Sword, damage +5 during battle) and Axefaire (when user is equipped with an Axe, damage +5 during battle), from Swordmaster and Berserker respectively, may be boring, but they get the job done with the two weapons Velouria will be focusing on. Vantage (at the start of battle, when the user has under half HP, they attack first) from Samuria allows her to punish opponents who get a little too greedy regardless of what phase of battle you’re in. Life and Death (during battles, damage +10, damage received +10) from Master of Arms is a great skill for really laying the hurt on opponents, and the extra 10 damage she’ll be taking is perfect for getting into Vantage range. And, finally, Better Odds (recover 40% HP at the start of odd-numbered Turns) from Wolfssegner or Sol (Skill% chance of restoring half the damage dealt to the enemy) from Hero rounds out the list with a skill to heal off some of that damage Velouria will be taking on the front lines.

As anyone who has read any of this blog's previous pairing analyses could tell, that last one (Leo X Hinoka) was a bit shorter than usual, missing a few things from earlier pairings (Skill pools for each character, recommended A+ Supports, and builds for the parents as well as the child). The reason for this is... ... Well, it's what I have time for now. I have a bit of a backlog of pairings to analyze (there are currently 18 Asks for me to go through), and I would certainly like to get through those as quickly as I can. So, while I must apologize, for the time being, pairing analyses will most likely look something like what you just saw. That said, please feel free to continue to send in requests for pairings to be analyzed! It may take me a little bit to get to them, but I promise I'll get to it eventually! And, furthermore, if there are any questions for me personally, feel free to send them in - I'd be delighted to interact with this blog's followers! -Rachel

Hello there! Is Leo/ Hinoka a good pairing?
Leo: Dark Mage, Troubadour, Sky Knight
Hinoka: Sky Knight, Spear Fighter, Dark Mage
Forrest: Troubadour, Dark Mage, Sky Knight
 Mods: 0 Str, 2 Mag, 0 Skl, 0 Spd, 1 Lck, 0 Def, 5 Res
Sky Knight is actually an interesting class for Forrest, and one which he can honestly... Surprisingly use pretty well! While he doesn’t exactly get a Speed modifier that would lend itself well to this class, he has the makings of a magical wall with that +5 modifier to his Resistance. Falcon Knight is most likely where he’ll really shine, if you’re set on having him riding one of those flying horses...
... But if you have access to DLC, sticking him in the Dark Falcon class wouldn’t be a bad idea either, as that will allow him to use Tomes while building up a Lance rank so he can use a Bolt Naginata. Now then, let’s look at what sort of class build Forrest could run with these parents!
Forrest (Falcon Knight)
Bowbreaker
Air Superiority
Darting Blow
Live to Serve
Rally Speed
Notes: This is a skill set that makes good on Forrest’s newfound aerial status. Bowbreaker (Hit rate and Avoid +50 when the enemy is equipped with a Bow) from Sorcerer helps deal with those pesky archer-types who would like to pick you out of the sky, and Air Superiority (Hit rate and Avoid +30 when facing Flying enemies) from Kinshi Knight further boosts your chances of survival against Kinshi Knights (and it doesn’t hurt when facing any other fliers either). Darting Blow (when user triggers the battle, follow up attack speed +5) from Sky Knight never hurts, as it almost guarantees a double attack against an opponent as long as you so much as tie in Speed. Live to Serve (when healing an ally, the user recovers the same amount of HP) from Butler encourages Forrest to break out those healing staves for a darn good reward, and Rally Speed (Speed +4 to all allies within a 2 tile radius for one Turn when the “Rally” command is used) from Falcon Knight rounds out the skill list with an always-helpful Rally skill.

Update
Well, this is coming at a weird time... I'm in a bad spot in life right now, and have actually been for a while... There are quite a few pairings that have been requested, and I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to respond and analyze them yet!
I had finished Birthright and gotten a fair amount of the way through Conquest before life decided to get bad, and I just haven't had an opportunity to finish Conquest or even start Revelations since... But once life eases up a bit, I'm hoping to return to analyzing pairings! I do think it's a ton of fun, and I do feel bad about letting this blog lay dormant for so long...

For those of you who were wondering, I did get my copy of Fates today! I'll be playing Birthright first, and then moving on to Conquest. I should be able to get through both before Revelations is out... ... That said, I am still going to be working on pairing analysis! I believe the next pairing on the to do list is Leo x Hinoka; I may take a break tonight to finish up that analysis, so keep your eyes peeled! And, as always, the inbox is open, so feel free to send in requests... Or just any old Fire Emblem question! I'll do my best to get to your requests and questions quickly.

Hi would you mind explaining how the class are inherited in this game? Like does the child come with their own base class and inherit one class from each parent?
Oooooooh boy, okay, Fates class inheritance mechanics are frickin’ weird! Let me see if I can try to get this down for you

Okay, first of all, you’re right! Children always have their own base class. Even if that class overlaps with their father’s class, the class that a child unit starts in is their base class!
Next, the child looks to their father (ALWAYS the father - even in the case of Azura!) for their first inherited class. If the child’s base class overlaps with their father’s class, such as in the case of Hinata and his son, the father will pass his secondary class (Hinata passes Oni Savage).
Finally, the child will inherit a class from their mother! If the mother’s base class overlaps with the child’s base class, they will inherit her secondary class instead.
And then there are actually some weird cases - like Niles x Nyx, where both parents’ base class sets overlap entirely. In this event, Nyx passes the route alternative of her base class to Nina - so Nina would inherit Diviner! There are only a select few cases like this, though I only actually remember Niles x Nyx, haha.
Oh, and if I screwed this up in any way, please send me a message to correct me! I do use outside (and verified) sources for my classes and whatnot, and it has been a while since I read over how class inheritance actually works, so this could be a little off.

The only FE game I've played is Awakening, and I dunno, I never got around to investing in Cordelia and Sumia myself :o which is my fault tbh, because I like both of them as characters and I heard they're both great units! Galeforce withstanding, haha
Galeforce was so brokenly wonderful, haha! But yeah, I never... Used them much, actually. Most units that could get Galeforce tended to grab it, and then immediately flee into another combat class. At least for me! I know their movement range and Speed is a big draw, but that has never really been how I play Fire Emblem?
Actually, last time I tried to play Sacred Stones (before burning out on it again oops), I used Vanessa seriously for the first time? She... Actually did pretty well! Pegasus Knights need to be played smart, because they’re very frail, but they can certainly be very good units. Just... Got to be careful, haha.
