Joey Batey is really approximately the same size and shape as Henry Cavill, and there are a number of clever techniques in pretty much all Jaskier’s costumes to hide this fact and make him look about three or four inches narrower than he actually is. The costumers work really really hard to make him look that twinky, often with cleverly cut shoulder decorations that pretend he’s trying to look bigger than he is and have the actual effect of making him look a lot lighter.

On a Doylistic level this makes sense, because it’s hard to make Geralt look Huge and Imposing next to your non-combatant harmless sidekick if said sidekick is a jacked six foot burly man.

On a Watsonian level, however, the notion of Jaskier as this big meaty dude aggressively arguing with all his tailors to ensure that he looks as non threatening and foppish and entertaining as possible while also looking as sexy as he can (for a Jaskier definition of sexy, at least) is generating considerable entertainment for me this fine morning.

The hard truth about autism acceptance that a lot of people don't want to hear is that autism acceptance also inherently requires acceptance of people who are just weird.

And yes, I mean Those TM people. Middle schoolers who growl and bark and naruto run in the halls. Thirtysomethings who live with their parents. Furries. Fourteen-year-olds who identify as stargender and use neopronouns. Picky eaters. Adults in fandoms. People who talk weird. People who dress weird.

Because autistic people shouldn't have to disclose a medical diagnosis to you to avoid being mocked and ostracized for stuff that, at absolute worst, is annoying. Ruthlessly deriding people for this stuff then tacking on a "oh, but it's okay if they're autistic" does absolutely nothing to help autistic people! Especially when undiagnosed autistic people exist.

Like it or not, if you want to be an ally to autistic people, you're going to have to take the L and leave eccentric, weird people alone. Even if you don't know them to be autistic. You shouldn't be looking for Acceptable Reasons to be mean to people in the first place. Being respectful should be the default.

my biology professor has such a chaotic energy about him, last week i went to his office hours and somehow we ended up on the topic of gay marriage:

he said that when he lived in texas they changed the law to define marriage as “between a man and a woman in a house of religious worship with the intention to have children” so he filed his taxes as single and when they called him up like “you filed married last year” he was like “you changed the law, i was married by a judge in a courthouse and i have no intention of having kids” and they told him “you know who that law was for” and i guess he hung up on them and did not, in fact, pay taxes as a married man that year

In the production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” currently running at the Olney Theatre Center in Maryland, however, Belle is played by Jade Jones, a self-described queer, plus-sized Black woman.

The production’s Tony Award-nominated director, Marcia Milgrom Dodge, said Jones’s presence has made an impact on the audience from the very beginning. After the cast sang about the most beautiful girl in town during the opening number, Jones stepped on stage. “Little Black girls in the audience screamed out, ‘Is that Belle?’” Dodge recounted. “And it’s not just a Black Belle who fits into the size 2 replica dress, but a plus-size Belle. So [all] little girls can dream big about them being princesses, too.”

XD I. Tumblr is WILD some days. Some kid asked me to unlike a post, SO I went to look for it and got an immediate "I kNoW you're THERE" and I just. PFFFT. You like a show, cool, you don't, cool. I honestly don't give a fuck but for fuck sake tag your damn negative nancy ass bullshit so people don't have to see it and get anxiety because they DO LIKE THE SHOW OR MOVIES OR WHATEVER.

Good lord. Criticism is different than straight up bitching. And you're allowed to have a space for it but people also don't gotta listen to it. When all they want are cute little gifs and have things blocked for a reason.

Not How It Works?

I just. I love the Loki show, personally. It's got some issues but people being SHOCKED Loki isn't with Mobius right off the bat baffle me.

If it's written, it's a possibility, yes. Ignoring the "this may not happen cause Disney (not Marvel, they have a LOT OF LGBTQ stuff) went 'nope' on it" part, you gotta look at this:

What actual show, where it's the end game relationship do people stay together or get together without drama like this (unless I just watch stuff with slow burns I guess)?

The Nanny took like 5 seasons for them to ACTUALLY get together and the show tanked after. Loki is not in a healthy place atm to have a legitimate relationship or process how Mobius feels about him.

I'm not saying this to say people aren't allowed to be mad but it's a slow burn, we're just unfortunately spoiled with Marvel stuff being COMPLETE when they do things. Also, with the Sylvie stuff - Marvel has literally had comics where Quicksilver and his TWIN SISTER fuck like, canonically, so I'm just. This isn't the same situation.

Ooooh this sounds honestly amazing. Teen Loki going full guyliner and nail polish, falling with the goth or emo OR punk crowd and being like surprisingly enamored with a bubbly pastel goth or just bubbly person his age and he's like ??? Wait. What are feelings??? And while I know he's smooth AF seducing people, being genuine and like learning different songs their love interest likes is just fascinating.

Hi y'all! I fell into a Loki fangirling blackhole. SO, out of it came a Loki x Reader fic I am writing (it has like over 180+ pages, I'm just SLOWLY editing it because I am not fast, but it exists, honest).

Here is the summary: Trained on earth by her mother, a former Valkyrie, Iona finds herself yearning to be one on Asgard. As Iona's curiosity over a certain God of Mischief and the mystery man she shares dreams with grows, Iona find herself sent to Frigga to be a handmaiden. When Loki is revealed to still be alive, the unexpected connection they share leads to catastrophic events. Stranded, with only each other to trust, they're forced to face the reality of their past and the potential of their future.

It's on my Wattpad AND if you don't want to read a story where you get railed by Loki, there is an OC character version (same story, different perspective). It is explicit, there is cussing, and a lot of ...naughty stuff because I fell INTO a fangirl blackhole. This is partially healed, snarky but still lots of FEELS sad puppy Loki and is set in the movie of Ragnarok. So, if you don't enjoy that, I also apologize but it probably won't work for you ^-^;;. Please, give it a read or share it with your Loki lover friends! <3
