by the way, the Love Live! Days magazine is holding a survey where you can submit 3-member fantasy subunits consisting of combinations of members from µ's, Aqours, NijiGaku, Liella!, & Hasunosora. units that are selected through a later poll will be featured in the magazine in june!

I'm trying to think of a subunit themed around shapes. Chisato loves anything round, perhaps Misaki would favour triangles because of her billiards games... could someone represent squares or swirls? feel free to build on this prompt!

it just occurred to me that chisato would LOVE fumi's glasses. I'm not sure how to build this out with other shapes right now, but I'll publish this ask and see what other people think and maybe come back to it later myself!

side note: chisato and misaki would be a Power Duo, who knows how much stronger they'd be with more shapes...

introducing my fourth fantasy subunit: TsuRaI RED (read as “tsurai red")

the members are ayumi torii, tsurugi kadota, and sakura kurobane. they sing heavy metal with traditional japanese elements, often utilising growls and screaming. the lyrics are about rage, directed at everything from societal injustices to mundane daily life. their choreography has elements of traditional japanese dancing combined with headbanging and moves showing violent desperation.

this unit was formed when sakuya kurobane found out that her sister, who was usually quiet, could growl and scream shockingly well. when brainstorming how sakura could demonstrate it well to an audience, the two decided to approach ayumi and tsurugi for a subunit, as they had a similar aesthetic and were prone to rage. though tsundere about it, the two eventually agreed.

the name "TsuRaI RED" comes from their names. Tsurugi, sakuRa, and toriI combine to form "tsurai", which translates to "painful, bitter, tough, cruel". together with RED, the name can be translated to "Painful RED".

i like to think that akemi, nanaka, and fumie are a trio of idol-obsessed pals that possess a wealth of idol knowledge. kinda like aoi from aikatsu.
