So, it's been close to a year since my last original post (excluding an ask I got in late October). Initially my hiatus was just supposed to be st stuff, but since that was most of where my mental energy was at the time, it also meant I wasn't making any posts of my own of any kind, but then when I started branching out a little bit, by that point making posts felt uncomfortable. Maybe too business as usual for the situation.

And again I'd like to stress that it's a me thing, I've obviously been reblogging stuff, I don't think other people making and enjoying art during terrible times is a bad thing. It felt uncomfortable for me with how involved I am, going as far as having cohosted a rally of my own, and to also be posting my usual content when I literally personally know people in Palestine now felt really frivolous

I expected to be finished the 20cl by now, but writing it was so uncomfortable I didn't get over 3k written over the entire year. I do still plan and hope to finish it, hopefully it will be less uncomfortable now. I do have a full chapter that was finished before I went on hiatus which I plan on posting, uuuuh, whenever I get around to betaing it, hopefully soon 🤞

I'm starting up again now because I gave myself until a ceasefire was issued to start again, because I made a commitment, but I do ultimately realize that me refusing to express my joy and creativity isn't necessary doing anything to help and I can do both. I did wait, having made the commitment, but I do want to acknowledge quickly that this is in no way an over situation

Stranger things is still on my mind like every day, it's seeped into the entire way that my brain operates but I don't get nearly as much joy out of it as I used to. So I will probably make the occasional post about it, and I do have some art backed up for the posting which I will stagger post, but if you're still following, it's pretty obvious I've been really into TMNT lately, so I'm gonna start posting content for that too, probably primarily, at least for a while. I'm hoping it sticks around

My name is Shada Kassab, and I am a 24-year-old mother living in Gaza. Every day is a fight for survival for me, my husband Hussein, and our baby boy Adam, who is just five months old.

Our lives have been turned upside down by war. My home has been reduced to rubble, and my husband lost his water truck, which was our only source of income. We’ve been forced to evacuate twice—from Deir el Balah to the Nuseirat camp—and now, we live in constant fear of what the future holds.

To make matters worse, Adam was born with clubfoot and urgently needs surgery. The cost for his treatment and specialized medical boots is at least $3000, but this surgery isn’t even possible in Gaza.

I recently graduated as a nurse, and I dream of building a better life for my family. But to do that, we must leave Gaza and start over in safety.

Hanan and her husband have 3 young children, Lana (10), Abdul Karim (7), and Adam (2); since last year they've been displaced and without income.

Their house in Khan Younis was destroyed with them inside, as well as the clothing store which supported their family. Now, they live in a weak tent which fails to protect them from even the weather, surrounded by scarcity and disease on the coast of Ghazzah.

To help them evacuate and rebuild their lives, they are trying to raise $100,000 USD. So far, they've only raised $9,695; not even 1/10th of their goal.

Hello everyone, my name is Andrea and I am the organizer for @noor509's GoFundMe campaign

Shortly before we reached our goal, we had our transfers paused due to GoFundMe wanting to verify information and wanting to know if the money had been sent.

I had sent a majority of the money directly to Nour's bank account, but due to an issue we recently had to switch to Western Union. I provided documents and answered all of the team member's questions, but in the end GoFundMe had decided to close Nour's campaign anyways.

The last transfer that was sent to us was on November 3rd and we had transfers paused on the 4th. If you have not received a refund from GoFundMe already, please reach out to them to demand for a refund.
