the way giles’s departure in s6 is written is very frustrating of course but it is undeniably such an excellent choice for the season to not have him around. like no you DON’T want giles to be there when everybody’s lives are falling apart. you want the scoobies to be bereft of a parental figure who they can rely on for help. you want them to be all alone and struggling!!!!!! the only people they can reach out to are each other and they’re all having such a difficult time with their own individual crises that the help they can offer each other is so limited and sometimes they just make things worse for each other. it’s the season of pain and suffering yippeeeeee!!!!!!

Hello Habs! What's your secret to drawing hands? I'm struggling with mine qwq
map out the palm then add fingers. The fingers’ knuckles following some sort of arc will make them flow nice together

On the topic of asking you how to draw things we’re struggling with… how do you handle arms? Specifically arms and their proper connections to the body.
I’ve gotten into this habit of drawing only headshots (shoulders included) and when i try to extend it into an actual full body, I can never do the arms.
Everything else is fine, but the arms are just… no. They stayed pinned to the sides, or conveniently nonexistent, as I don’t know how to draw them proportioned properly otherwise.
I will try to explain but you can definitely find better advice elsewhere
I think first, having a solid understanding of what's going on underneath is important, here's some of the bones/muscles that are the most relevant. Knowing what the understructure looks like and how it all connects will help you figure out the surface stuff
When you move your arm, all those muscles and bones move too, when the arm goes up, it affects your clavicle, your scapula, your pecs, etc. So you're not just moving an arm, you have to think about how the shoulder/neck/chest will go along with it
same kind of deal with the back view
proportion-wise uhhh arms go down to about mid thigh and a persons wingspan is around the same width as their height head to toe

When Buffy is “not herself”, she often appears with crimped hair, as she does while Faith is possessing her body. This also occurs noticeably in “Beer Bad”, when Buffy becomes a prehistoric version of herself, in “Something Blue”, when Willow’s spell causes her to become engaged to Spike, and when Jonathan bends reality (”Superstar”). vampirism poses the question "what if there was a fundamental, horrible, unending well of want in your soul that, if truly satisfied, would lead to great pain for all those you hold closest and, in turn, their absolute and total revilement of you?" and naturally as a person with no problems I don't relate to this in any way at all.

it is actually so goddamn funny (and annoying) how blatantly bisexual so many buffyverse characters are but due to bisexuality not being a fully accepted/recognized thing (in the public eye i guess apparently) it's just. never treated as a possible way for the characters to identify. like
willow goes from liking strictly men to strictly liking women. with no exceptions outside of jokes. this CAN be explained as comphet but i highly doubt it was intended that way. now don't quote me on this but i think i recall hearing that she WAS initially supposed to be bisexual, but this was changed/not followed through on bc audiences Might Not Get It. ??? alright
all the vampires are at least a little not straight. most have been implied or even outright stated to have had gay sex at some point. but like it's weird. idk
not to mention in the comics, where buffy sleeps with a woman for a bit and EVERYONE IN HER LIFE gets mad at her for doing so because she's "obviously straight". even spike (someone who has also canonically dabbled in same-sex activities) gets involved in the buffybashing. but like she was very blatantly into this girl and what they were doing together so like??? ?.????? even the gay characters were mad at her for this
and that's just the really obvious stuff!!! i haven't even mentioned xander! or doyle! the list just keeps going

This scene from “The Yoko Factor” is so funny to me. Bc like
First of all, it cements that the antagonists of Buffy have the best gaydar bc they’re gay, because Faith (in the body swap episode) and Spike were literally the ONLY PEOPLE who NATURALLY noticed that Willow and Tara had a thing going without being told about it. It’s so fucking funny that Spike just immediately susses it out. Like yeah, they’re not hiding it, but he doesn’t even consider that it could be casual intimacy or anything, just like “yeah they’re lesbians, makes sense”
Second of all, the fact that he uses witchcraft as a metaphor for lesbianism. It’s just really funny
Third, how when he tells them that their friends are being judgy (a.k.a homophobic) about it, Willow just fucking believes him 😭 Like yes girl, this evil soulless vampire was definitely allowed to participate in a personal conversation between people who hate him about your relationship, makes total sense. She’s so upset about it too, bless her.
And then just Spike throwing in “I think it’s fine btw. If you wanna be a witch, be a witch, you know?” Like it’s just so fucking funny in retrospect. ‘Yeah, I’m an evil dude who cares about none of you, and I’m actively trying to convince you that your friends are homophobic so that it will cause a rift between you, but I just gotta let you know that I support gay people.’ It was probably so they’d trust his word more, but it’s still just so funny that he threw that in there. Just letting them know they have the Spike seal of approval.
Spike supports lesbians. Even when he wants them and their friends dead
