But it was so perfect how in Vincenzo they added Cha Ha-young being apart of a corrupt law firm at the beginning and being apart of the opposing team. Because it showed that although they were on two different spectrums, both Vincenzo and cha young were apart of a evil. I feel like this was very obvious but it was one of the reasons why Vincenzo and cha young worked so well as partners.

Both of them bonded over the fact that they’ve done stuff that was considered evil, and that this wasn’t them being the heroes but just getting rid of a lesser evil

I’ve seen a lot of discourse on what Lucy and Natsu last name would be when they get married and a lot of people say it would be Heartfilia because let’s face it Natsu Heartfilia sounds amazing. BUT!!! Honestly I would say that they would definitely change their last names to Dragneel.

Why? Because yes Lucy is very proud of her last name especially because it’s a memory of her mother, but she’s always mentioned that she’s wanted to get away from the Heartfilia name and become “just” Lucy, and the name Dragneel also brings memories of Igneel for Natsu and it’s obviously a very important name for Natsu

Men complaining about the narration and time jumps in Birds of Prey like… she’s? Insane? That’s literally her whole thing? She got a Ph motherfuckin D but she’s also completely batshit crazy? As if these same dudebros didn’t watch Deadpool and lose their minds over how good it was. (Not knocking Deadpool: good movie, annoying fanbase)

As a gay male, the biggest thing Birds of Prey has taught me is just how deep the hypocrisy of cishet men is when it comes to perceiving the media. The amount of ridiculous criticisms fired the movie's way, whether it's about the box office or the absence of the Joker or whatever--they all stem out of this back-assward allergy to seeing women do literally...everything the male characters in films of the same genre ever do. Wacky ass stunts, gratuitous use of the word fuck, uncanny aim with a firearm, looking like shit after getting beaten up--the list goes on forever. And yet...BoP gets the axe from critics while Bond, Wick, F&F, Bourne, Deadpool all get mighty praise.

It's so deeply entrenched it's mindboggling. The amount of misogynist mindfuckery in media reception is an onion that just keeps fucking peeling. I was aware of that logically, but man it really shows with this movie--literally a female-led version of Deadpool. And don't even get me started on the way the movie is somehow treated as a special case in terms of action movies--like the fact that it's female led sticks it in this orb of bubblegum floating around the rest of the "acceptable", damaged male action features.

What a load of pussyphobic buffoonery. Anyway, go see BoP the most entertaining movie I've seen in months and watch all my faves break limbs and shoot people in the fucking face
