Some messages left by queer Palestinians who face annihilation by the Israeli government in their retaliation against Hamas. The Israeli government has dropped thousand of bombs, leveled streets, cut off water, gas, and electricity, bombed hospitals, ambulances, mandated evacuation and then bomb evacuees. Innocent people are dying in the mass.
There is no need for this government to employ these acts of collective punishment. The same logic that is used to condemn the acts of Hamas, should be used to condemn the actions of the Israeli government. No one deserves to slaughtered and dehumanized.
And keep in mind, that this terror is not unusual for the Palestinian people, and this is another horrific event in a decades long oppression and apartheid.

He’s a murderer btw. But let’s not talk about the atrocities Turks and the Turkish regime commits towards the Kurds.
I am seeing a lot of social media hype about the Turkish Sport-Shooter Yusuf Dicek who recently went viral because of his participation in the Olympic sport-shooting games without any specialised gear.
International media reports about him as some sort of Hero, cool guy and role model
But this >Hero< was part of the Turkish armed forces during the peak of massacres and ethnic-displacement against Kurdish civilians by the Turkish military.
Yusuf himself was deployed to the Kurdish region of Mardin (Merdin) as a corporal of the Turkish armed forces.
1995-1999 is part of the 3rd phase of the counter insurgency operations by the Turkish military against the PK K and its military wing the HPG - during this phase the Turkish armed forces were mainly focused on destroying any support base for the HPG. The Turkish military enforced this by depopulating Kurdish villages in rural areas and by executing Kurdish civilians.
The US NGO >Humanitarian Law Project< assessed that over 2400 Kurdish villages were destroyed at least 18000 Kurds have been executed by the Turkish military. These estimates are in the lower end of estimates - most estimates assess that over 4000 Kurdish villages have been destroyed and depopulated by the Turkish military.
The Olympic social media star >Yusuf Dikce< has been deployed to the Kurdish Mardin region serving as a corporal - his rank and area of deployment provide us with certainty of his participation in these operations by the Turkish armed forces. It is likely due to his eager participation in these operations that he has been given the opportunity to further enlist into the >Jandarma< military school and graduated with the rank of Sergeant.
It’s not surprising yet still shocking that so many media channels have jumped on the hype-bandwagon without doing any research into who that person is and what occupation he had.

"I look around at everything: the footpaths and the trees, the sky and the sun, the mornings and the nights and the stones and the stinging nettles and the cow patties and the peaks, and the rocks, and the distant smoke, and the boar paths—all of it, rhyming."

"You told me it will get worse," Kaladin said.
"It will," Wit said, "but then it will get better. Then it will get worse again. Then better. This is life, and I will not lie by saying every day will be sunshine. But there will be sunshine again, and that is a very different thing to say. That is truth. I promise you Kaladin: You will be warm again."

I'm so annoyed with the way the critics are treating Foe (the movie with Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal). And like I get it, at the end of it I was kind of like "um...okay??" because the main plot isn't all that interesting, nor is it all that comprehensible (I get what the twist is, they just don't let you in all the way to the characters experiences, but imo that's by design). And that's because *drum roll* that isn't the point of the movie. It's not a sci-fi or a marriage drama like the critics are trying to say it is. And I think the actors gave it their all to say "please take this movie seriously" because the entire message of the movie is "HUMANS ARE TOO STUPID TO PAY ATTENTION TO CLIMATE CHANGE" and then the critics proved them right by being too stupid to realize the movie is about climate change. Literally nothing else. Their marriage is not the point. Only the fact that it's under stress because people are focused on going to space and making ai indistinguishable from humans rather than fucking climate change! At regular intervals in the movie they remind you that climate change is going on. They are in a mega-drought. There are kids who don't know what rain is. There are massive dust storms in the Midwest (where it takes place). Corporations burned the land so people couldn't use their seeds. They are unnaturally growing canola there. All the trees around them are dead and Saoirse is carrying buckets of water to one tree to keep it alive. The news on the radio is asking whether now is finally the time to do something about the climate emergency. But they try to distract you from what's going on by making you wonder: is he a robot? And it works. But why do we care if he is or not? Why do they even want to replace him in the first place? Aaron Pierre is like "this is a huge accomplishment" regarding the ai, but why the fuck would we even care when the earth is literally dying? Also why don't the scientist team care at all about how inherently cruel it is to replace a person with ai? The movie didn't say anything new about robots that are like humans because it wasn't trying to. It was telling you that making ai human-like is fucking stupid and climate change is more important.

I Saw The TV Glow is a movie that shakes you and says not transitioning will kill you. Refusing to live for yourself will kill you. Repressing every unexplored part of yourself in fear of what you might find will kill you.
