Artist Of The Month
Lorraine Christie
Lorraine Christie, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is known for creating romantic love scenes in the streets and often in the rain, and now resides in in Roswell, Georgia. She is represented by Huff Harrington Fine Art Gallery. Her paintings are still very much sought after in her native Ireland. Lorraine Christie’s paintings cover an astounding range of genres and technique. The one, solid vein however running through each piece is the emotion, not only evident from the artist herself, but the emotion that is each other on the street, lovers walking in the rain, a conversation between friends. A luscious still-life of fruit or flowers where the senses are stirred by the deliberate stroke, in all these paintings brush and palette knife do not fight but hold their own harmony. Lorraine Christie’s paintings are in many private and corporate collections across the world.

Street Art
In New York City, art is all around us, and we’re not referring to the 1500+ (yes that IS a real number) galleries throughout Manhattan and the boroughs.
We’re talking about street art, and you don’t have to walk too many blocks to find an amazing piece emblazoned onto an otherwise unsightly building. Just glance out the window on your subway ride above-grounders… street artists are taking the city by storm.
Check out the gallery below for some of the amazing pieces the blocks are boasting
And as always, come see us at 459 Broadway for amazing art of the interior variety!
