REASONS TO CUP A FACE. ( A PROMPT LIST. )

with the help of some very talented and amazing friends, i present to you an unexpected, very spontaneous meme list based on the beautiful art of cupping someone's face! there's a mix of romantic and platonic here, and even a few that defy the boundaries of normal relationship dynamics! i hope you enjoy! as always; DO NOT ADD TO THIS LIST NOR CLAIM IT AS YOUR OWN!

[KISS]: sender cups the receivers face in their hands before drawing them closer for a kiss.

[CHECK]: after an unexpectedly violent situation, sender frantically rushes to check if the receiver is okay, cupping their face to look closer.

[CLEAN]: sender affectionately wipes a smudge of sauce from the corner of the receiver's mouth, cupping their face in the process.

[LIFT]: sender gently cups the receiver's face and lifts their chin so the receiver is looking up at them.

[COMFORT]: sender cups a distressed receiver's face in their hands and steadies them by resting their foreheads together.

[ATTENTION]: during an important conversation, the sender takes the receiver's face in their hands and firmly directs their focus on them.

Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even) Uhhhhhh I dont feel the difference? I dont start with the face. Where the gesture goes, there face goes. Flat-front is the hardest, I think, I almost never do that. 4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw both fav and annoying: so I have Ocs that have canine hindlegs and I have Ocs that have hooves and while I want to draw them a lot - those legs give me trouble! I dont know how furry artists survive. I draw like Diagrams of weight distribution and stuff to make myself believe that the characters are comfortable to walk and do other fun activities. Also shoes. How do you do shoes when the character has paws. 19. Favorite inanimate objects to draw (food, nature, etc.) I like to draw small objects with watercolor and colored pencils. Tiny bottles, candies, shelled nuts, small fruit, floss boxes, ets. It is very satisfying. 20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy Hands. Learning sign language gives a great advantage on that. 27. Do you warm up before getting to the good stuff? If so, what is it you draw to warm up with I just accept that the first 20% of drawing session might be wonkier and I might have to re-do it later. It pisses me off a little to do meaningless things? For exercise? Sometimes when I dont feel like doing much, I get colored pencils and sketch poses from reference, but it's not a warm-up. Maybe it will ease me in, maybe not, no obligation.

sometimes you try to grab and pocket your little gay necromancer from a terrible family who is Unwell in the Head, but they have ALREADY summoned worlds number one's biggest Enemy ( who they are the biggest fan of, obvs. Terrible family issues.) into their body and now being piloted around while their own soul is fuck-knows-where. And you only have smudges of their facepaint on your fingers, cos said summoned entity doesnt even honor keeping the facepaint on!
