Let's hear it for ferries!
i was thinking about how lately i've been much more into the bus than the subway so i think it would be interesting to survey the masses!

Hellbender (Cryptobranchus alleganiensis), family Cryptobranchidae, found in freshwater streams in the eastern US
The smallest of the “Giant Salamanders” in the family Cryptobranchidae, this aquatic salamander is nonetheless quite large, growing to a length of up to 29 inches.
While only considered “Vulnerable” nationally, this species is considered endangered in some states. (The USFWS is now proposing that the species be listed as ENDANGERED under the Endangered Species Act.)

suuuuuper messy thing for a new au :3
okok hear me out on this. in some kind of g1-adjacent universe, the ark starts burning up and breaking into pieces in earth's atmosphere, leading to autobots and decepticons alike flying out of the ship and crashlanding in little pockets all across the americas. they're all separated, and without long-range comms or teletraan-1, they can't communicate.
enter jazz and prowl. they wound up crashing together into the forests in new hampshire, with no other bot or con in sight for miles and miles. all they've got is a last transmission from optimus prime- a message calling to all surviving autobots to come to the west coast, where the ark's remains crashed. jazz and prowl team up and decide to head over there together, though not without some bumps along the way. cue silly road trip montage where jazz collects bumper stickers from virtually every stop they make

A look at three species of Pterosaurs from Late Triassic Europe
Carniadacrtylus and Eudimorphodon are both eudimorphodontid, whereas Peteinosaurus is more basal. These are illustrations I did for my book (in preparation) about the tetrapods of the Triassic. They will appear in a section dealing with the Zorzino Formation.
These are some of the first examples of pterosaurs in the fossil record.
