What I just realised about Steve is that he's actually barely thirty. He is NOT a 100 years old grandpa who can't keep up with the modern world. He is a young man who one day was fighting a war, then the other day he wakes up in the future where everyone he knows is gone and people treat him like an old man. He's basically younger than Tony but has been through twice as much.

This is for eruri week prompt 2, Ackerbond!  I hope you like it <3. —– “They warned me about you, you know.”  Zeke said with a sneer, letting the last few drops of his tea fall onto his tongue.  “Reiner and Bertholt.  That there was an Ackerman or two in your midst.” Levi had, for the most part, learned to tune Zeke out.  He glared at him from where he was seated in the forest, his muscles tense and ready for anything.  “We had Ackermans too, in Marley.  They’re a very special breed of people, you know.  They were so dangerous that most of them had to be hunted down and killed.  Couldn’t have an Eldian with that much power, you know?” Levi kept the interest off of his face.  There was no fucking way that Zeke knew about his troubled past, how he had spent his whole life wondering who he was, where he’d come from, why his mother had spent her whole adult life hidden away in the underground.  “An Ackerman is characterized by the following.”  Zeke started, as though he were describing a fucking specimen in the zoo.  “They are unnaturally strong, have excellent combat skills and an intuitive response to danger.  But I think the most interesting thing about Ackermans is that they have… well, shall we call it a special bonding ritual?  It’s cute.”  Zeke laughed, then wiped his nose with the back of his hand.  Fuck, Levi hated this guy.

looking for ackerman fics!

i realllyyy would love to read some fics where ackermans, as in, their uniqueness is explored. i’d love it to be eruri too, if possible. essentialy fics that deal with how and why they are special, how other characters and society reacts to them while finding out, what maybe the army or the island what to do with them??  have you written something along these lines? i’d loooooooooooove to read it!
