literally (one of) the only reason(s) why doomsday was in my top 5 (my number 1 song actually) is bc it reminds me soooo much of ridhiii and i love closing my eyes and doing an animatic i fear this is the closest ill get

just a few of my favoritw lines but i lowkey did not process that this song is about a failing relationship and took it at face value and was disappointed when i watched the music video

but like. i love a good trope where a girl is haunting her own narrative. emily knew that ridhi was going to be offered the job and that their professor only offered it to her out of pity and spends the entire time thinking about how much better everything would be if ridhi was in her position. but then when emily asks herself what would ridhi do in this situation she struggles because she has a surface level understanding of her. and emily is totally in the background of her own narrative since shes crafting this whole story about everyone around her and in her dreams/interactions with ridhi (+ thomas) it is the only space where she feels has any control

and i think ridhi would push against that, and i think emily believes that too, so eventually, her thoughts do turn on her

i could go more into it but im tired. thomas is the priest that told her to go to hell. emily has no agency in her own life and craves agency over others. i hate realism and i need to lean into the dreamy supernatural elements of this thing more without feeling schtewpid

peggy is a former vet who now works at a subsidary for a large Company as a biologist, specifically researching astrobiology and microbiology. when the Company offers her the opportunity to go on a spaceflight as a science officer, turns out they have an ulterior motive

the Company seems to have captured and identified the first extraterrestrial, or at least that’s what they claim, which peggy doesn’t buy since, well, he seems a little too human.

“the captive” “the hostage” “ET” “the vulture” isak sepp is a career criminal and murderer. he becomes one of many prisoners selected by the Company for testing and doing experiments on. Normal And Justifiable Stuff. he’s somehow still alive and kicking after being pumped full of bird DNA, and has even escaped multiple times to sate what seems to be an unquenchable hunger for human flesh. now employees are dying and getting rabies left and right. the only reasonable thing to do is to imprison his ass on a “prebooked” Company spaceship, one where the ill fate of everyone on board is already decided, a feature and not a bug. the Company can get rid of multiple thorns in its side while simultaneously gathering more valuable data. win-win!

and now the two of them must JOIN FORCES to save themselves and everyone else on board and DEFEAT THE EVIL MEGACORPORATION TOGETHER 💕🌟😻 BESTIES 4 EVER 💗🌟💕👯‍♀️
