A/N // Red Riding Hood, anyone? I've been hooked since my school's librarian recommended me a book based on it.

Ever since she was young, stories of a wolf residing in the forest had been hammered into Red's mind, her mother, her father, hell, even her siblings had reminded her of its contents every night and every morning. A simple fairytale to keep children from wandering into the forest and getting lost - a story of a wolf that would devour anything and anyone in its path of destruction, its favourite meal being small children such as her. Yet, it didn't make sense. How every day, there was a new disappearances in the small village, a new group of chickens missing from their coop. Of course, anyone could blame this on a normal wolf or fox, stalking into the village at night, but it didn't add up. How would a fox or a wolf eat an entire human in one night? And there was always deep gashes left in the ground and walls of the victim's house, some thick enough to the point where you could press your face up against the damp wood of the home and you'd be able to see through the walls. Anyone that came back from the forest had came back traumatised, unable to perform normal everyday activities without supervision or assistance - or, in some of the worst cases, didn't come back at all. This 'fairytale' was getting out of hand - although, Red had always believed in fairytales.
