I didn’t say it was okay, I just wanted to point out that Thea only knew that apparently Jean was consenting to it. And he doesn’t deny it years later. It is week re that a ~25-26 year old still thinks that a 16 year old being passed around was okay but this because she was groomed into thinking like that by the nest. Don’t you have any compassion for her?

Of course I have compassion for her. Most of the hate I get form the fandom stems from the fact that I consider Thea a victim too. I don't see her as the monstrous Jezebel that corrupted Kevin the way most of the fandom sees her.

She only had to deal with Riko for a year iirc? Like all the Ravens that graduated before Riko or early on in his rule, her abuse came from the Master's "discipline". Riko never had any reason to harm an asset like her. Thea's failings were for the Master and his cane to deal with. If Riko was feeling particularly sadistic at any point, he had Jean to take it out on during that year of overlap with Thea.

As a result Thea is not as bad, as bitter, as sadistic as the current Ravens. But that doesn't mean she's good.

She's a victim too, but that doesn't mean we should justify what she says and does, because what she says and does directly harms others.

(current Ravens vs average Ravens is such an interesting subject; imo Thea represents the average Raven, raised under the Master's abuse but relatively free from Riko's influence; current Ravens are an extreme version, a direct result of Riko's rule of terror; in the future Andrew and Neil's pro team is coached by an average ex Raven and they fit right in, they like it when they had not liked their previous teams coached by normal people; meanwhile a current Raven doesn't belong anywhere near an Exy court)
