how shifting actually feels
from an experienced shifter
— many people have experienced symptoms when trying to shift, however not everyone does! when i had began my shifting journey, i used to always get symptoms, but now it’s very rare that i do. maybe i’ve become so used to it that it doesn’t correlate, or maybe it just comes that natural to me, either way i still shift. don’t give up because you can’t feel any symptoms, everyone is different.
— the first shift isn’t shocking. you ‘wake up’ and it feels natural. there’s no confusion, maybe a calm acknowledgement but that’s it. you won’t need a minute to compose yourself, or get so overwhelmed you can’t speak. you will remember all the events before you shifted, and it will feel like a natural continuation.
— when your dr self’s memories come rushing in, it isn’t that noticeable. it takes a split second for your memories to, let’s say, ‘update’. you don’t realise until you have to recall something, like remembering where your keys are or the password to your phone.
— doing things in your dr that you do not do in your cr comes naturally. for example, if you are an f1 driver in your dr, you will still know what you are doing. your brain holds the information you need.
— you are not the main character. istg if someone acts as if the whole world revolves around them in their dr one more time i will actually lose it. every single person in your dr has their own lives, their own feelings, etc. just like your cr. you are not special.

to those of you who are moving here from tiktok, from someone whos used both tiktok and tumbr for years...
1. DO NOT censor your posts
dont censor sex, abuse, suicide, dont censor it. we dont have censors like tiktok does, you wont be banned for talking about these things and tagging them properly helps people avoid them (also, we dont have shadowbanning here)
2. we dont really have an algorithm
you follow who you follow, and you see posts from who you follow or what you search. the 'for you page' is basically useless here. this also brings me to my next two points
3. dont crosstag
we get it, on tiktok you have to crosstag for reach, but thats not really a thing here. just tag your posts properly (also posters often leave more info about the post in the tags!! and when you reblog stuff you can leave your own notes in the tags, kind of like the old "repost comments" on tiktok)
4. dont expect to go viral/be famous
"viral" isnt really a thing on here (at least not for the average blogger). your posts will probably get 2-10 likes and you wont get nearly as many followers than on tiktok. thats just how tumblr is
5. blocking is your best friend
tiktok is VERY discussion based, and while tumblr is much more discussion based than other social medias, its still not a good place for ragebait/discourse. dont interact, itll make your experience worse in the end, just block and move on
6. you cant go into someone elses house and start rearranging their furniture
this is tumblr, not tiktok. dont diss old tumblr users for how they use the site or try to change them, thats like going into someone elses house and trying to rearrange their furniture. we've been here longer and we're familiar with the site and its culture, either find your niche, adapt, or find a different app

I don’t think you’re ready to have an adult conversation about politics until you’re able to admit that there are things you love and enjoy that would not and should not exist in a just world. $8 billion dollar budget movies every other month don’t exist in a just world. New 900 GB AAA video games every year don’t exist in a just world. Next day delivery doesn’t exist in a just world. 80 different soda brands don’t exist in a just world.
All of those things come from exploitation on some level, and if you wouldn’t trade those for a world where everyone can eat and have a home no matter who they are or what they do, I don’t know what to tell you.

I look forward to using this!
Emergency shift, tonight.
Another step by step guide, but this time it's mainly focused on how to shift when you'd do anything rather than stay in this wicked reality, perfect for permashifters or anyone frustrated with their current living situation in general.
OK, so I made this method in my WR, since I can't possibly "shift" here (I can switch realities on command by intending, so shifting isn't an activity for me anymore, I don't need to do methods), so last night i went to my WR, with as much skills I had before my first shift, I had an infinite time to figure out the perfect I need to get the hell out of here shifting method.

Step 1, Morning: (divide this into four parts, morning, afternoon, evening and night)
Yes, you woke back in your CR, but don't think about that, get into the mindset that you're happy and you'll shift tonight.
First of all, drop all tasks from the CR, stop, don't do assignments or anything, don't focus on your CR.
Afterwards, what you need to do now is relax yourself, go ahead and pick something to do that you enjoy, so you can divert yourself from overthinking about shifting (personal recommendation, Sims 1 :) listens to subliminals in the background, don't worry about them if you think you have a strong enough mindset.
Don't completely abandon your CR body, don't just become a robot, eat, talk with your family (don't if you're not a fan of them). Avoid shifting forums as much as you can, mainly because there is always something irrational on there which could possibly discourage you.
Quick tldr for this step: relax, calm yourself down, listen to subliminals.
Step 2, Afternoon:
If you're developing a headache or feeling light-headedness due to the excessive subliminal listening then that's good, it means your brain is absorbing the affirmations.
Now, trick your human brain by listening to subliminal boosters, but only those ones which repeat playlists by million, billion, trillion, or zillion or something, it won't matter how effective the subliminal is, as long as you believe the title to be truth, then trust me, it'll work like promised.
After you're finished with your subliminal run, top it off with one of wrath's seal and you're good to go, you're now mentally prepared to shift, and you are in a perfect mindset. (wrath, the subliminal creator, in my opinion their subliminals, especially the boosters are the strongest; search wrath's second seal, in my opinion it's the strongest one in the series).

Now you have eye strain or something, get up, go sit outside for a moment, stare at the trees, birds, skies, and start daydreaming-!
(Don't worry, I didn't tell you to touch grass, you can stay indoors, but, daydream :)
Daydream about your sweet sweet DR, if you're going to your WR, just imagine all the fun things you'll get to do there, or visualize your WR (or script; meaning revise how you made your WR to be like)
OK, back to the DR part, daydreaming can be done in many ways, perhaps you'd like to zone out and fall into deep contemplation about your actions in your DR, kind of like a case study (for me, bringing up old events from my teenage years or something, specific memories arise which didn't make sense; like me ignoring someone I like, and try to figure out why I did it, this all strengthens your bond with your DR)
Or you could simply rewind your memories in your DR, or what you've planned for the upcoming days, what you were doing before shifting, my recommendation would be to kind of add lots of "too much information" like, where did you place the honey after you had finished baking that cake? Didn't you had to put a new bar of soap in the bathroom? Didn't you broke the button of your favorite coat yesterday?
Or If you're good at visualising, you can simply live an entire day in your DR (perhaps not an entire day, just visualise your morning routine)
Another good one, if you can't visualise or don't feel like it, open Pinterest, scroll through your home feed, and try to relate the pins you see to your DR (I was just about to buy that shirt; I swear I saw that exact same house somewhere; that cat looks exactly like my sister's cat)
Feel like your DR self now? If not you're definitely getting excited and prepared by now.
Step 3, Evening:
Now it's time to attach yourself firmly to your DR self.
Consume media which remind you of your DR self, try your luck with Character ai, maybe it'll make sense for once (make your own bots, add a little description of your DR self within the character details, the bot will remember your details, ask ill share a template :) your spotify playlist + pinterest, remind yourself, your DR is very much real, if it's possible, close your eyes periodically for a few minutes, imagine making decisions like your DR self, and facing the consequences right after; or you can have a small conversation with your loved ones, keep it related to your DR.
Eventually, you'll be led to nightfall, it's time to go home.
Step 4, Night:
Listen to the subliminals you've listened to during the day, again, for an hour at least, if you're doubting yourself, or feeling like you won't be able to do it, try to distract yourself by a memory from your DR or something, or simply, already get into you're DR self's mindset, say "affirmations" like these:
"What the heck is going on in my mind? Why am I thinking about shifting, I've already got so much work to do." (That was an example, get creative :)
If you're ready to start shifting, lay down in a comfortable position (or sit up but lean back on comfy pillows if you're in fear of falling asleep) take a few deep breaths, if you like meditation then do so, but it's not at all necessary, just relax.

Now shift (just kidding, use my method which I've explained thoroughly in my first post, follow it and no doubt you'll shift, you're invincible.)

I am very self assured in my method btw. Also I'll try not to be lazy and answer the questions in my inbox dw.
I'll also upload my script, since for once I've finally stopped crying about permashifting in every post.

shadow work is a process in which we delve into the depths of our unconscious self also known as the shadow self. this includes repressed emotions, fear, limiting beliefs, and blockages that we may not be aware of, or are not ready to accept. shadow work helps one become more self-aware and develops a deep understanding of the self. it heals past traumas and improves your self-esteem and relationships. since it helps identify limiting beliefs and blockages, it can be used as a tool to help you shift, in order to rewire your mindset for success! answer the following questions with honesty and in as much detail as you can go. have fun with this! enjoy the process. good luck :)

what limiting beliefs do i hold about my ability to shift realities?
what negative emotions or traumas am i holding onto that may be hindering my ability to shift?
how do i sabotage my own efforts to shift realities?
what parts of myself am i rejecting or denying that may be preventing me from shifting?
what am i afraid of losing or gaining by shifting realities?
what do i truly desire from shifting realities, and why?
what is my desired/ideal reality, and what am i afraid of creating?
how can i create a more positive relationship with myself and my desires?
what are my specific fears or doubts about the reality i want to shift to?
what negative experiences or beliefs have shaped my current reality?
how do i create my own reality, and how can I take responsibility for my experiences?
how will I go about my life if i never end up shifting? what will i do instead?
what emotions am i afraid of feeling if i shift realities?
do i find myself worthy of shifting realities?
how do these emotions relate to past traumas or negative experiences?
what coping mechanisms do i use to avoid these emotions, and how are they hindering my progress?
how can i learn to embrace these emotions and use them as a tool to grow?

I'm also going to push for Uncle Riordan to have a Pjo TV show way sooner and have Robert be cast as Luke and I could be Thalia, or Hestia

Okay I'm sure this gets said like 10000 times a day but I just like. love how creative shifters are. Like, y'all spend HOURS coming up with DRs and backstories and lore and drama and scenarios and drawings and edits and writings and affirmations and subliminals. Shifters are some of the only people I know who will write thousands of words about a place they've never been to but know like the back of their hand. Shifters are some of the only people I know who will learn totally new skills just to bring their vision of their home to life. Shifters are some of the only people I know who get this passionate and creative and dedicated when it comes to their dreams. It's uh kinda inspiring?? And beautiful?? And I hope you realize how cool you are?? And I love you??

“shifting doesn’t feel real”
i think that many of you have stumbled upon this sentence. maybe some of you had felt discouraged after reading it. many of people say that they are lying - i agree with it, a lot of them lie. but what if some people truly felt like this? and what if i told you that it’s that specific person’s fault that they felt this way?
looking at law of assumption - our assumptions create our reality. and trust me, when someone says you are limitless they MEAN IT. but, working on your beliefs is crucial to understanding your true power and gaining self-control.
well, if someone had always had this assumption/belief that shifting is in fact real but doesn’t feel as real as others claim (for example - they might believe that it feels dreamy or that you don’t have your five senses) then yes, they will experience that. because as i said earlier - YOU create your reality as well as experience. you decide whether it will feel real or not.
but, just in case i somehow don’t overcomplicate it for you: as we all know shifting is becoming aware of another reality, you simply shift your consciousness there. it is literally impossible for it to feel like a dream or something. BUT! if you truly will believe that it’s different for you and that “everyone is lying, it is impossible for it to feel like real life” then you will experience that. hope that it makes sense.
so now, considering all of those shifters who claimed that it doesn’t feel as real as your original reality, do you think that it’s true for everyone or only for them specifically? only for them - people who always had had this belief that it doesn’t feel real? just because someone claims that, it doesn’t make it true for everyone. YOU create your experience. YOU are limitless, you can even make your desired reality feel more real than this one - YOU make the rules.
so please, don’t be discouraged - work on your beliefs and trust your own assumptions. because, in the end, you always create your own reality.
