I was so inspired by Dan’s art that I had to recreate it. It’s harder than it looks.

the flower pattern is actually a rare piece of fabric from ~18 century(?¿)
the question of the day is: why did i do that?¿ i don’t even like flowers. maybe it’s because i slept 13.5 hours last night, soooo……

Hong Kong protesters appeal to Trump for help
(source: bbc news | 8 sep 2019) Sunday’s crowd waved US flags and chanted pleas for the US to “liberate” Hong Kong from China.
They are asking the US to pass a proposed “Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act”, which Democratic Senators are pushing for consideration next week.

My City Hong Kong Needs Your Help
sorry guys it’s been a while since i came up here but right now my city Hong Kong is having troubles!
i’ve reblogged some posts about it——the extradition protests. basically, it will destroy our liberal democracy and freedom of speech if the law passes. now we’ve been resisting but the government doesn’t seem to hear our opinions while 1/7 population of people went on street to join the protest on 9th June. We need your help to raise more global awareness to let the government stop what they’re doing. we don’t want that bloody history that happened in 4th June 1980 repeat again, so before that really happens, we need to stop the government!
pls help reblog my other posts to let more people know! thank you so much!

hong kong protests: demonstrators block council from debating extradition bill.
“The proposed bill would allow Hong Kong to detain and transfer people wanted in countries and territories with which it has no formal extradition agreements, including Taiwan and the Chinese mainland.
The extradition plan applies to 37 crimes. That excludes political ones, but critics fear the legislation would essentially legalize the sort of abductions to the mainland that have taken place in Hong Kong in recent years. The mainland Chinese authorities are typically not permitted to operate in the semiautonomous territory.”
