I’ll start sharing some of the reusable code I make on Unity. For that I'll make a sideblog called @este-code.

I guess this is really gonna be directed to a niche audience, so I won't post any code right here; All the code posts will be exclusive to this sideblog.

Thought I would come up with a new naming convention aimed as being the most easily understandable possible; allow me to introduce : Northern color, Southern color, Eastern color, and Western color.

North, south, east and west are unmistakably explicit whilst still being completely different from the joystick's and directional pad's usual Up, Down, Left and Right. So really anything based on cardinal points will make a suitable name for these buttons. Threw in the word color instead of cardinal point because it's shorter to say, and one things these buttons have in common across all plateform is they are almost always the only colored buttons of the controllers. What would be the best color for cardinal points, I don't know; I should also check whether they have symbols.

Is there an universal way to name the right-hand buttons on a controller? Like, on playstation it’s ΔoX□, on xbox it’s ABXY, and on nintendo it’s also ABXY, but in a different order

For now this is only a local multiplayer brawler, but I have makeshift AI's in stash that I plan to add later so it can be played solo.
