How can I audition?

Honestly, when it comes to auditions, all you need to do is message me either here or on the Discord and I'll put you through a short process to see if you'd be a good fit for the server!

I'll ask which role you'd like (there is a cast channel on the Discord or you can look at the pinned post on my profile here for updated roles)

I'll ask you to send an example of how you'd normally roleplay (I can send a prompt for you to reply to if you'd like)

You fill out a character sheet if you're accepted

And that's all you need to get into the rp!

You'll also get your own character channel to fill with whatever information you want about you're character, from their basic information to headcanons and art, whatever you'd like!

How big is neverlend

As things are right now, Neverland expands into 9 major locations where the RP takes place, some being much larger than others in terms of scale, which is why there aren't more locations (as well as just to keep the rp tidy in a sense).

The 9 locations we have so far are:

The Lost Ones Camp

The Jungle (the space between every other location)

The Beach

Phoenix Hideaway

Skull Rock

Mermaid Lagoon

Crocodile Creek

Pixie Hollow

Jolly Roger (which is plit into 3 smaller areas)

So, really, we've got quite a large area to play around with when it comes to Neverland, and I'm always up for suggestions for more locations as the rp goes on as well!

We became a little inactive over the winter months, but I'm happy to announce that we are officially back with some new openings! We're having a bit of a refresh of things, so now is the perfect time to join in if you're interested!

Can I be a lost girl?

Yes, absolutely!

The Lost Ones and Pirates are both a mix of different genders, I didn't want to limit them too much by just making them male only, so Lost Girls are absolutely welcome!

Can I be Wendy?

Unfortunately, we do not have a Wendy available due to some plot points I would prefer to avoid spoiling too early on (especially before the rp has started), but the original rp post is always kept up to date with the characters that are and aren't available!

I edit the post as soon as a role has officially been taken up, so if you see a role available that you like but aren't sure is still actually still available, there's a good chance it is!

No time at all before Escape From Neverland gets its feet off the ground, but we're still looking for some main roles before we can get started! Here are who is left and the age ranges expected of the characters, you don't personally have to be those ages ofc!

How many character can we claim/submit?

In terms of how many characters you'd like to play, I'll admit I hadn't thought about people having multiple! I myself can't juggle playing multiple characters, so things like that slip my mind quite easily

But quite honestly, if someone thinks they could handle multiple characters, then I'd be willing to give them up to one named role/character (The Flirt, Tinkerbell, etc.) and then also a Pirate and/or Lost One (so 3 altogether) for when that named role perhaps isn't being used but you'd still like to participate in other ways. Of course, in those instances I'd like for the named role to take priority, especially for important scenes or when the different groups are in the same place, but if your only roles are a Pirate or Lost one, then you could flip between those as you feel it suits the tone if that's your thing!

The only way it gets a little confusing is within the role system on the Discord server itself, but that's something I'm perfectly happy sorting out with people as they come by to make sure everyone is set with what they prefer!

Can you add more canon characters?

Unfortunately, the characters I've included so far are likely to be the only canon characters that are in the rp for various reasons. People like Wendy and Mr Smee have more plot centric reasons to not be included, there's a reason John and Michael are working with the pirates after all (that's all I'll say there), so they will very likely stay unavailable.

I think perhaps the only exceptions I can think of are Tiger Lily and her tribe, I would be quite happy to include them given the chance and perhaps I will if people are requesting it, but because I want to make sure they're done justice within the rp, I would feel more comfortable having a conversation with whoever was interested in playing them first. I really think they could add a lot and would really be a great addition to Neverland's dynamic, but considering I haven't always seen them being treated well, a discussion with someone before they take the role to make sure that doesn't happen within the rp as well would be needed because I do really hold these characters dearly and want to do them justice.

I suppose that's it in terms of canon characters. I know there are canon Lost Ones as well, and you can absolutely apply for those too! I just don't have a separate section for those because I didn't want to clutter up the post too much, but feel free to apply for canon Lost Ones as well if you'd like!

Do we have to be evil if we decide to be pirates?

Not necessarily, no. Naturally, they may still have to fight with Lost Ones and such if that's how the rp goes, but they absolutely don't have to be pure evil or anything if you'd prefer to give your character a little more to work with!

In fact, I strongly encourage each group to be as varied as possible with their characters! I love seeing the different dynamics that so many personalities can bring to a group, so it would be fun to see what people do and how the characters work together once the rp gets going properly!

Can people still join the rp? Or is it already closed?

The rp is definitely not closed! We still have quite a few roles open actually, the only roles that are closed at the moment are Peter Pan, The Phoenix and The Royal, every other position is open!

Also, when it comes to Pirates/Lost Ones, even when every other role is taken, those ones will stay open until the rp itself comes to an end, so anyone wanting those roles can join even in the middle of the actual rp itself if they'd still like to join in!

Can we use our own characters?

Aye, of course! In fact, the Found Four themselves are 100% characters you create yourself, they will just have to fit into the concept of their individual titles (being flirty or anxious for those respective titles as an example).

But, if that's not your thing either, the Lost Ones and the Pirate crew have no titles to abide by necessarily, so they can have an extremely wide range of personalities and are, again, 100% your own characters!

Tho, next to that, even though people like Tink, Hook and the Darlings are all cannon characters, you can make them look and act however you please, just as long as they carry the same air to be recognisable as those characters! (Examples: Michael and John are now pirates in this rp, so maybe you want them more ruthless, but perhaps they still have a soft spot for hearing magical stories and playing pretend deep down. Doesn't have to be that way, but just an example of the sort of thing I mean!)

Who’s your favourite character?

If we're talking non-canon, gonna have to give myself a bit of an ego boost and say Phoenix. She's been a character I've carried with me for about 6 years now and I really like the plans I have in mind for her within the rp and how she's evolved over the years to fit the kind of character I always wanted her to be but could never write very well up until recently.

But! That being said, if we're talking canon characters, then I would absolutely have to admit that I struggle between Peter, Tink and Wendy. I love all the different ways these characters can be portrayed while still feeling like the characters we know and love, plus I had just one of the Tinkerbell movies as a kid (the one with the ice twin sister) that I would rewatch all the time, so that definitely shaped my love for her a lot growing up.

Idk, I'm excited to see what people will do with the characters in rp! Might even boost someone up into favourite character spot and I'll have a different answer by the time that gets going!

Do we need an audition?????????????????????

An audition is necessary, but I like to think I've kept the process simple, so I'll explain it here to get a couple of opinions on it and so anyone interested can see what they're getting themselves into!

First step is to just shoot me a message! Now, that can be here on Tumblr or on Discord (autumnflare is my user over there), though the rp itself is being hosted on a Discord server.

Once you've messaged me, all you have to do is send me the role/character you would like to play as well as a written example of your rp style, preferably as the role you would like, but any example will do.

After that, if you're accepted, then I'll send you a small character bio template to officially add you to the cast list and invite you into the server once that's been completed!

Aye, absolutely!

With Escape From Neverland, when it "ends" will be completely in the hands of those who join and how the story naturally progresses with every character's unique journey as I fully support characters having their own plot lines within the overall story.

But! Even then the rp doesn't have to end if it comes to a natural conclusion and we come to the decision that we want to continue the story with these characters thanks to the help of these guys:

Now the figure at the side here is a representation of one of the many "creatures" that reside in Neverland, called Shadow People.

These handy guys are the creatures that Peter Pan's own shadow belongs to, only he was given the rare opportunity to reconnect with it early on in his life on Neverland as the only human inhabitant for a long time.

Why do I say reconnect? Well, great of you to ask! I say reconnect because Shadow People are simply shadow clones of the humans that step foot on Neverland, creating an almost impossible to know about and locate connection to Neverland's soil, meaning that as long as your Shadow is still in Neverland, it is inevitable that you will be drawn back to the island even if you manage to leave.

So, to once again answer the question without my rambling:

Yes, the rp will indeed be long term and can even feature a "sequel" for the characters to locate their Shadows if the plot does indeed end with them leaving the island.
