Buoyed by the lessons of the past and the promise of the future
July 18th, 2024, Thursday
As the summer sun reaches its zenith, casting long shadows and illuminating the path ahead, we delve into the recent adventures and reflections of Mr. Eric Bozoian, a man of both introspection and action. 🖋️☀️
In the sultry days of late June, Eric and his steadfast Faren embarked on an arduous yet awe-inspiring two-week journey along the Lake Tahoe Rim Trail. 🌲️ Traversing diverse landscapes, from the arid expanses of Nevada to the lush forests of California, they faced the dual challenges of excessive heat and weighty backpacks, each laden with 30 pounds of essential gear. The contrasts were striking: snow-capped peaks basking under 90-degree heat, and encounters with nature's myriad creatures, including a bear the size of a small car! 🐻🌞 Despite the trials, the vistas were nothing short of spectacular, rewarding their perseverance with unparalleled beauty.
Between the rigors of the trail, South Lake Tahoe offered a refreshing respite. Margaritaville, with its grandiose resort charm, provided a haven of relaxation where they indulged in custom ice cream sandwiches and leisurely dips in the pool. 🍦🏊♂️ Their journey concluded in Reno, where they strolled along the river walk, explored casinos, and appreciated the local art, all while finding solace from the relentless heat in yet another inviting pool.
Parallel to his adventures, Eric has embraced the burgeoning hobby of rock hounding. Armed with an array of new tools, he has delved into the earth, unearthing gem-quality stones and enriching his connection with nature. Each discovery is a small victory, adding to the treasure trove of his burgeoning collection. 💎🔨
Closer to home, Eric and Faren have reveled in the aquatic wonders of New Hampshire, taking advantage of its myriad swimming spots. Eric's long-desired beach tent has finally been acquired, enhancing their seaside sojourns. 🌊🏖️
The musical landscape also brought joy, with an outdoor concert in Gilford, NH, reminiscent of cherished venues from his past. Seeing Modest Mouse in the picturesque lakes region provided both auditory delight and a cool escape from the summer's heat. 🎸🌌
Wedding preparations are in full swing, with March 15th at Indian Head Resort set as the date and venue. Venue tours doubled as explorations of charming small towns and a delightful encounter with a butterfly breeding stream, evoking fond memories of missed opportunities at the Smithsonian. 🦋💍
On the volleyball front, Eric continues to hone his organizational prowess, hosting more tournaments and gearing up for official Yankee Tournaments in the fall. His efforts are met with anticipation and excitement, as he steps confidently into this new chapter. 🏐🎖️
Faren’s roller derby exploits add another layer of admiration for her resilience and independence. In stark contrast to past relationships, she embodies strength and self-reliance, qualities that Eric deeply appreciates. 🛼💪
With Faren, Eric has found a partner who shares his values of communication and mutual support. They have pledged to address issues together and avoid the pitfalls that marred his previous marriage. This commitment, coupled with a realistic understanding of the challenges ahead, fortifies their bond as they prepare to embark on a life together. 🌅❤️
As the summer unfolds, Eric looks forward to the continuation of this journey, buoyed by the lessons of the past and the promise of the future. With Faren by his side and a steadfast resolve, he strides into the coming days with hope and determination. 🌟🚶♂️

the spring air fills with the scent of blooming possibilities
May 13th, 2024, Tuesday
Dear Reader, let us once again unfurl the parchment of life and pen a fresh entry in the ongoing chronicles of Mr. Eric Bozoian, an account replete with the verdant bloom of spring and the promise of new beginnings. 🌿📜
On the 4th of May, amidst the burgeoning greenery that heralds the season's return, Eric and his beloved Faren embarked upon their inaugural spring hike along the scenic Tully Trail. This splendid 22-mile circuit, nestled in the bosoms of Royalston, Orange, and Warwick, Massachusetts, offered our intrepid couple a tableau of sweeping vistas and the serene company of cascading waterfalls. 🌄💧 Their journey through this sylvan paradise served not merely as a communion with nature but as a reaffirmation of their shared love for adventure.
In a bold stride toward entrepreneurial spirit, Eric has transformed his passion for volleyball into a thriving side business aptly named Southern New Hampshire Competitive Volleyball. 🏐🌟 With tournaments garnering accolades and participation swelling, this venture is fast becoming a beacon for competitive spirits in the region. Eric’s recent acquisition of a Cricut machine has enabled him to craft bespoke prizes, adding a personal touch that truly sets his tournaments apart. The creation of a logo has only further solidified the identity of his burgeoning enterprise.
April proved a fruitful month, crowned by yet another successfully hosted tournament. With each event, Eric hones his skills as both organizer and host, learning and evolving with the joyous cadence of volleyballs in flight. 🥇
The month also danced to the tune of the Old Crow Medicine Show, where Eric and Faren, usually divided by musical tastes, found harmony in the foot-stomping rhythms of country music. Despite her usual reservations, Faren was swept up in the exuberance of the performance, a testament to the magic that can happen when one steps outside their comfort zone. 🎻🎶
But dear readers, the true highlight of April was the tender moment when Eric, under the celestial ballet of the impending solar eclipse, asked Faren to join him in matrimony—a proposal she joyously accepted. 💍🌑 The eclipse came and went, but their love, illuminated by the shared light of their hearts, promises an eternal glow. Their engagement, slightly ahead of the cosmic spectacle, was a moment of pure, unbridled joy.
As they now look toward a future festooned with wedding plans and shared dreams, our couple stands at the threshold of a new chapter, one filled with love, laughter, and the continual pursuit of happiness. 📅❤️
Thus, as the spring air fills with the scent of blooming possibilities, we close this entry, leaving Eric and Faren to their plans and preparations, their hearts as full as the moon that presided over their engagement. May their journey forward be as bright as the spring sun and as hopeful as the dawn of a new day. 🌷🌞

The gentle symphony of the sea
April 2nd, 2024, Tuesday
As the vernal equinox heralds the renaissance of nature, so too does it mark a period of reflection and renewal in the life of Mr. Eric Bozoian, accompanied by his ever-faithful companion, Faren. 🌸
In the waning days of March, our duo ventured to the serene expanse of Plum Island in Massachusetts, a place that rekindled Eric's childhood memories amidst its natural trails and pristine shores. 🌊🥪 There, they indulged in the simple pleasures of a picnic, their repast accompanied by the gentle symphony of the sea. Their exploration then led them to Newburyport, a quaint tapestry of shops and culinary delights, crowned with a festive St. Patrick’s Day ice cream float, a concoction as delightful to the palate as it was to the spirit. 🍦🍀
Further north, the duo found themselves in Maine, entranced by the rumored purple sands of Kennebunk's beaches. True to the tales, the sands, kissed by the alchemy of the ocean and earth, did not disappoint. 🟣🏖️ Eric, ever the collector of nature's marvels, gathered some of this colored sand, a token of the day's wonders.
In the social sphere, Eric navigated the treacherous waters of post-divorce life with a fortitude born of introspection and therapy. 🌊🚶♂️ Amidst this journey, he found solace in friendships unmarred by the pressures of alcohol, a refreshing change that has contributed significantly to his well-being and happiness.
March also brought with it a trial of the flesh—a peculiar growth upon his head that, while benign, necessitated surgical intervention. The removal of this unwelcome visitor has brought relief, both physical and psychological. 🏥
But the most significant revelation, a crescendo in the symphony of Eric’s recent life, is his decision to propose to Faren. 💍 Amidst discussions of futures intertwined and homes shared, they’ve laid a foundation of understanding and preparedness, a pact to safeguard their journey ahead. Date yet to be determined ; )
Yet, as he contemplates this new chapter, thoughts of his former life partner linger, like shadows at dusk. 🤝 His therapeutic odyssey has laid bare the painful truths of change, missed signals, and the ephemeral nature of love once thought eternal. He wishes they could still communicate, but fears this time has since passed.
His previous marriage, a tableau of joy and despair, now serves as both a cautionary tale and a wellspring of wisdom. Eric recognizes the delicate balance between the bliss of union and the imperative of self-protection. 💔➡️💪
In his musings, Eric reconciles the dualities of his heart: the desire to love freely and wholly, yet with the sagacity to shield that love from the caprices of fate. He steps into the future not jaded but enlightened, armed with the lessons of yesteryears and the hope of tomorrows yet unfurled. 🌅
Thus, in this journal entry, we capture a snapshot of Eric's ongoing journey—a tale of rediscovery, healing, and cautious optimism. As the days lengthen and the earth awakens, so too does Eric, ready to embrace the spring of his life with eyes wide open and heart unabridged. 📚❤️

The battles within and without are far from over
February 21st, 2024, a Wednesday
In the year of our Lord 2024, the journey of Mr. Eric Bozoian, accompanied by the steadfast Faren, continues apace, an odyssey of self-discovery and the pursuit of tranquility amidst the grandeur of nature and the competitive camaraderie of volleyball. 🌄🏐
In the quietude away from the courts and mountains, Eric has delved deep into the chambers of his heart with his therapist, confronting the specters that haunt him. The specter of drink, a siren amidst social gatherings, beckons with its deceptive allure. Heedful of sage advice, Eric resolves to abstain from events where temptation frolics freely, especially as he navigates the healing waters post-divorce. 🍷❌
An unexpected missive from his past life, his ex-wife, regarding the mundanity of taxes, briefly stirred the still waters of his thoughts. Silence followed his offer of communication, a silence that, perhaps, is a bridge to their new beginnings, separate but parallel. In this quiet, Eric finds a semblance of closure, even as concern lingers like the last notes of a song long ended. 📝

2024 awaits with the promise of adventures yet to come
January 8th, 2024
As we find ourselves in the infancy of the year 2024, let us cast a glance back upon the year that was for one Mr. Eric Bozoian, a year of triumphs and transformations, under the ever-watchful eye of his dear Faren. 🌟
The year 2023 began with Eric ascending the formidable peaks of New Hampshire's 48 4,000-foot mountains. 🏔️ A Herculean task, indeed, and as of this date, 19 have bowed to his determination. This mountainous challenge, born from the ashes of personal tribulation, became a beacon of healing from his painful divorce, a salve to his once-tumultuous soul.
In parallel, Eric embarked upon the dynamic world of Yankee Volleyball Tournaments. 🏐 From neophyte to champion, his journey through these tournaments mirrors his ascent in life – a tale of growth, resilience, and the joy of victory. His trophy trove now boasts a backpack and an ensemble of sweaters, each a testament to his prowess.
The spring of 2023 marked the end of an era and the beginning of another in volleyball. As his team ascended to higher leagues, they left behind a legacy of back-to-back championships – a sweet farewell to a cherished chapter. 🏆
April brought with it a significant milestone: a venture to New York City with Faren, a journey that rekindled his spirit and quenched his thirst for exploration. 🗽 The Big Apple, viewed through the lens of a new companion and the calm of medication, unfolded in a tapestry of fresh experiences and newfound courage.
Faren, a blessing in human form, guided Eric through this transformative year. Through hikes and discoveries in the serene vistas of Vermont, she was the lighthouse in his storm, a true New Englander with a spirit of loyalty and honor. 🍁
As the year warmed, Eric and Faren explored the vicinity of their abode – Maine's beaches, Lowell's canals, Boston's bustling streets, and Providence's thrift shops. Each city a new chapter, each experience a brushstroke in their shared canvas of life. 🌊🏙️
August saw Eric return to Virginia, a journey back to a state laden with memories of love lost and chapters closed. Yet, this return was not a retreat but a bold step forward, a reclaiming of joy amidst old friends and celebratory nuptials. 🍷💒
The battle with the bottle, a specter from the past, continued to ebb in 2023. With Faren's unwavering support and the guidance of his therapist, Eric found strength in saying no, embracing the clarity and peace of sobriety. 🚫🍺
New Orleans beckoned later in the year, a city synonymous with revelry, yet for Eric, it was a testament to his growth – a journey unmarred by fear or anxiety, a triumph of the self. 🎷🎭
As autumn's leaves began their descent, Eric embarked on a four-day backpacking trip, a physical manifestation of his mental and emotional fortitude. 🍂🎒
Closing the year, Eric made the painful yet necessary decision to sever ties with his past, choosing self-preservation and healing over lingering questions and old wounds. 🚪💔
Now, as 2024 dawns, Eric stands on the precipice of new adventures. The inaugural hike of his meetup group promises camaraderie and sobriety, while his thriving volleyball group expands its reach. 🌲🏐
A two-week Tahoe Rim hike with Faren looms on the horizon, a blend of anticipation and eagerness. 🏞️🚶♂️
Kenny Chesney's concert in August twinkles in the future like a star of promise and joy. 🎶🎤
And perhaps most significantly, Eric embarks upon the journey of homeownership, a tangible symbol of his newfound stability and optimism for the future. 🏡✨
As Eric pens this entry, he does so with a heart full of gratitude and eyes alight with hope. The year 2023, a chapter of healing and growth, closes; 2024 awaits with the promise of adventures yet to come.

Each thread interwoven to create a rich, vibrant pattern, reflective of a life lived fully and mindfully
November in the Year of Our Lord 2023
In this month of brisk breezes and the whisper of winter, let us turn our attention to the recent adventures of one Eric Bozoian, accompanied by his amiable companion, Faren. 🍁🌬️
The nineteenth day found them in the vibrant and enigmatic city of New Orleans, where they chanced upon the human horse races. A spectacle most unusual, indeed! 🐎🎭 This delightful event, raising funds for local animal sanctuaries, was a cornucopia of costumes and camaraderie. With libations aplenty and mirth in the air, even the crowd themselves were adorned as if to rival the masquerades of yore.
During their sojourn, the historic Monteleone hotel beckoned. Within its hallowed halls spun the famed carousel bar, a merry-go-round of mirth where the cocktails are as delightful as the rotation is gentle. 🎠🍸 Together, Eric and Faren enjoyed this unique revelry, spinning slowly amidst the echoes of jazz and joy.
Their journey continued down Frenchmen Street, a kaleidoscope of local art, soul-stirring music, and the pulse of life that is uniquely New Orleans. 🎷🎨 Each bar a different verse of the same vibrant song, each piece of street art a window into the soul of the city.
In a twist of fate, Faren led a somewhat reluctant Eric onto a swamp boat ride. 🚤🐊 Despite his fears of the alligator's daunting presence, he found himself not only safe but enchanted by the natural wonder and serenity of the swamps. A lesson learned - fears confronted often lead to unexpected joys and wisdom.
Their expedition also included tours of the Garden District and the traditional ghost tour, each a tapestry of history, mystery, and architectural splendor. 🌳👻 Art shops dotted their path, allowing Eric to replenish his collection with pieces that spoke of new beginnings and fond memories.
Away from the well-trodden paths of tourists, the couple explored the verdant expanse of public parks, an experience made all the more serene by Eric's newfound calmness, courtesy of his medication.
As November ushered in its colder cousin, Eric and Faren continued their hiking endeavors, now donning winter gear against the chill embrace of the approaching season. 🏔️❄️ From snowshoes to microspikes, each item a testament to their preparedness and Faren's guidance, they embraced the snowy trails with gusto.
Earlier in the month, the Dartmouth Moosilauke Ravine Lodge provided a welcome retreat. 🏞️🛌 Here, amidst the embrace of nature, they relished the comfort of a guest room, savoring delectable meals and embarking on hikes through the wintry woods. The Lodge, a gateway to myriad trails, offered both respite and adventure.
On a more introspective note, Eric observed the positive effects of his reduced intake of spirits. 🍷➡️🌱 A clarity of mind and a decrease in stress marked his days, a stark contrast to the toxicity of his past. This newfound tranquility, like a gentle stream, flowed through his days, enriching his experiences with Faren and beyond.
Thus, November for Eric was a tapestry of varied threads - from the flamboyant streets of New Orleans to the serene snow-capped trails, from confronting fears to embracing wellness. Each thread interwoven to create a rich, vibrant pattern, reflective of a life lived fully and mindfully.
As the month wanes, we close this chapter on Eric's journey, but not without a sense of anticipation for what December might unfurl in this ongoing saga of adventure and self-discovery. 📚🌟

In the turning of the leaves, in the chill that preludes the winter’s frost
October in the Year of Our Lord, 2023
In this entry, let us delve into the recent escapades of Mr. Eric Bozoian, whose October days were filled with enchantment and spectacle, the likes of which have stirred the very leaves of the New England trees to a brilliant display.
On the twenty-eighth day of this month, under a tapestry of twilight, Mr. Bozoian, accompanied by the gracious Faren, found themselves ensconced in the velveteen embrace of the Grange Theatre in Vermont. Here, they witnessed the carnivorous capers of "Little Shop of Horrors," a musical that has feasted upon the affections of theatre-goers for more than three decades. In the second row, with a view unobstructed by the heads of the populace, they were privy to the thespian alchemy that brought forth laughter and horror in equal measure.
The eve prior, Mr. Bozoian and his elegant companion attended the Murder Mystery - Midnight at the Masquerade ball in the bustling heart of downtown Nashua. Adorned in the regalia of high society, with masks that whispered of Venetian intrigue and costumes that would make a peacock envious, they danced and deduced with aplomb. Post-event, as they perambulated the streets, the townsfolk could not but lavish them with compliments, surely making the night sky twinkle with a hint of jealousy at their radiance.
October's embrace also brought with it a journey through the labyrinthine corridors of Elwood Orchards' famed corn maze. By night, they ventured, as has become their cherished tradition, pitting their wits against the maze's sinuous challenges. Triumph was theirs, as they emerged victorious, adding another year to their legend of mastery over the maize.
Mid-month, our intrepid duo partook in the revelries of King Richard's Faire. Here, amidst the revelry of acrobats and fire eaters, jesters and jousters, they feasted upon turkey legs and savored the heady brews of olde. The Faire, a patchwork of history and fantasy, offered a respite from the mundane, a place where mirth and music float freely on the autumn air.
On the fifteenth, Mr. Bozoian and Faren cast their gazes upon the hulking majesty of Battleship Cove. Aboard destroyer and battleship alike, they traversed the steel innards of these maritime behemoths, marvelling at the compactness that belied the vastness of their historical weight.
The month was not all play, for on the seventh and eighth, the couple sought the solace of nature, trekking the Webster Jackson trail. There, amidst the fiery fall foliage, they drank in the beauty of the mountains—a visual symphony of reds, golds, and oranges. And as if ordained by the spirits of the woods, Mr. Bozoian claimed victory in another volley of volleyball—a testament to his prowess and a balm to the stresses that plague the common man.
Thus, October has been a month of merriment and mystery, of victories both personal and shared. In the turning of the leaves, in the chill that preludes the winter's frost, Mr. Bozoian has found joy and jest, proving once again that life, when fully embraced, is a play in which we all have a starring role.
And so, we close this chapter of Mr. Bozoian's story, not with a finality, but with the anticipation of what November's quill shall inscribe upon the parchment of his days.

a tapestry woven with threads of joy, nostalgia, and a touch of the unknown
In the quaint and historically-rich town of Nashua, NH, there lived a gentleman by the name of Eric, whose days in September, a month known for its transformative touch, were filled with ventures both delightful and disconcerting.
Eric, driven by a nostalgic sentiment, traversed the winding roads to Vermont. Not for the allure of its green hills nor the soft whisper of its breezes, but to witness a spectacle of astounding grace and vehemence. His cherished Faren, a lady of great agility and spirit, took to the roller derby with an ardour that could match the most fervent passages of a Dickens tale. Her swift manoeuvres and gallant performances were a sight to behold, and Eric's heart swelled with pride.
In a bid to recapture moments from yesteryears, Eric and the radiant Faren found themselves upon the familiar greens of Mel’s mini golf. A place which held memories of their initial rendezvous, a simpler time. As if taking a page out of their own history, they played, and Miss Faren, with her innate knack, bested the game, perhaps with a little gentlemanly concession from Eric himself.
Amidst these personal sojourns, our protagonist, Mr. Eric, immersed himself in the noble endeavour of fostering community spirit, orchestrating volleyball matches that echoed with the sounds of merriment and camaraderie. Drawing upon wisdom and expertise honed in VA, he ensured each event was a rousing success, to the delight of Nashua's eager participants.
Yet, as is often the case in a Dickensian narrative, not all was light and levity. A mysterious lump, like an unwelcome character intruding upon his story, emerged on the back of Eric's head. The town’s physicians, with their sharp instruments and solemn faces, took it upon themselves to remove this interloper. As the days wane, Eric awaits with bated breath to hear the nature of this uninvited guest.
In the more tranquil sphere of his dwelling, a new congregation of fish, the glow barbs, shimmered and swayed in their aquatic theatre. Though one, a vivacious yellow one, exhibited a penchant for mischief, they added a touch of vibrancy to Eric’s abode.
And thus, as September's curtains drew to a close, it could be remarked that it had been a month of profound reflection and cherished moments for Eric, akin to a tapestry woven with threads of joy, nostalgia, and a touch of the unknown.
Your humble chronicler,

For is not the greatest triumph of all, the mastery over one's own state of being?
Ah, dear reader, allow me then to weave for you a tapestry that encapsulates the many exploits and adventures of our protagonist—Eric Bozoian. Behold a narrative marked by zest for life and an insatiable curiosity; a tale that commences after an absence since the 11th day of May, and stretches through to the 8th of September in this very year, 2023.
In the quaint locality of Tyngsboro MA, our hero has been seen each Tuesday eve, ensnared in the web of competitive but amicable volleyball. It is a gathering where laughter soars higher than the loftiest serves, where skill is honed in the fiery crucible of friendly competition. Our protagonist thrives, not merely as an organizer but as a player, gleaning satisfaction and expertise for future battles to be fought in colder seasons, under banners of various tournaments and contests.
June heralded a season of culinary and intellectual exploration. At the Taste of Nashua in New Hampshire, our hero was both pilgrim and connoisseur, navigating a labyrinth of scents and flavors. Restaurants took temporary refuge in shops, offering morsels that tantalized the palate as if each bite contained an entire world—a universe of taste held within the confines of downtown Nashua.
Yet the month was far from satisfied in its offerings. Bookstock in Vermont unfurled its leafy arms to welcome our intrepid explorer. A veritable Eden for the mind, it boasted a procession of eloquent speakers, enigmatic exhibits, and the allure of thousands of books, like stars strewn across a nocturnal sky. Ah, a sanctuary for the intellect, set amid the rustic charm of Vermont!
July extended an invitation to romance and camaraderie, setting the stage in Harrisburg, VA, for the wedding of two dear friends, Brandy and Nick. Accompanied by his captivating companion Faren, our protagonist embarked upon a road journey that meandered through the natural grandeur of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Beyond the nuptial joy, vineyards and wineries of Charlottesville whispered secrets of the earth into bottles, like messages meant for the morrow.
The month was not yet done casting its spell. A night under the stars, accompanied by the musical sorcery of Luke Combs at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts, ensued. Our hero, among thousands, was lost and found in the echoes of country ballads and anthems, a communal experience that transcended mere entertainment—it was the chorus of modern humanity.
As August unfurled its sun-kissed banners, our protagonist, along with Faren and a band of sporting comrades, decamped to Fiddlehead Campground in Maine. Ah, here was nature in its unadulterated grandeur, a setting that offered primitive camping along the poetic Saco River. It was an escapade where the majesty of nature was the host, and the soul found reprieve in the embrace of the wild.
Finally, as though to crown the seasons of exploits, came the magnum opus—a journey across the Pemi Loop in New Hampshire. Shouldering his first ever backpack filled with essentials and aspirations, our hero tramped across terrains that seemed to touch the sky. Nine peaks bowed before his resolve, as the protagonist completed a challenge both physical and metaphysical, an odyssey that was as much about conquering landscapes as understanding the contours of his own inner world.
Thus, dear reader, we find our protagonist at the cusp of a new season, imbued with the richness of experiences that stretch from the realms of sport to nature, from the world of ideas to the universe of flavors. The narrative is far from complete, each day a new sentence, each adventure a new paragraph. In the book of life, our hero has turned several pages, yet many chapters still await their dawn.
It is here we leave him, not at an ending, but at a precipice overlooking countless new beginnings. And so, the tale shall continue, written not just in ink, but in sweat, laughter, and the endless wonder of lived experience.
Ah, amidst the multitude of adventures and pursuits that our hero has partaken in lies another journey—a voyage less conspicuous, yet equally compelling. It is the exploration of the internal landscape, the winding roads and hidden pathways of the mind. Just as one might scale mountains and traverse valleys, so too has our protagonist ventured into the peaks and troughs of his own mental wellbeing.
The years preceding this diary of delight and discovery were not without their shadows. Like a garden untended, the mind too had its brambles and nettles—obscuring the light, constricting the soul. But ah, dear reader, through an alchemy of exertion, experience, and, dare we say, a touch of serendipity, the season of rejuvenation has graced that internal landscape.
As the hands of volleyball lofted higher, as the flavors of Nashua danced on the tongue, as the wisdom of Bookstock settled in the crevices of thought, something remarkable occurred. The clouds that once cloistered the mind began to part. The weight of unnamed anxieties and oppressive doubts started to lift, like fog yielding to the morning sun.
To be sure, these victories over external landscapes—of sport, cuisine, intellect, nature, and camaraderie—mirrored victories over the inner topography of despair and apprehension. Ah, what solace can be found in the fellowship of like-minded souls at a sporting event! What clarity springs forth from the appreciation of art, nature, and love!
And thus, as the calendar pages turn, our protagonist stands not merely as a man improved in skill and knowledge but elevated in spirit and steadied in mind. The vicissitudes of existence, which once felt like daunting mountains, now appear as mere hillocks, easily navigated and pleasing to the eye. His heart beats with a new resonance, attuned to a rhythm that whispers, 'All shall be well, all manner of things shall be well.'
For is not the greatest triumph of all, the mastery over one's own state of being? Herein lies the most extraordinary chapter in the ever-unfolding book of our hero's life—a chapter replete with courage, hope, and an invigorating sense of peace. We pause to celebrate this, aware that each moment of serenity is both an achievement and a promise of brighter chapters yet to be written in this magnificent epic called life.

The Epic Adventures of Eric in the Northeast
Greetings, my dear readers! It is I, the narrator of the epic tales of Eric, back with another exciting update on his adventures. In this entry, I will regale you with his thrilling exploits in the Northeast region of the United States.
Eric and his companion, Faren, ventured to Lowell, Massachusetts, to visit the mill museum and delve into the history of the region's mill community. They even purchased a cloth sheet made by the old-fashioned mills. Later, they took a walk along the canals, which offer boat rides which they plan to do in the summer.
The duo also visited the beach at York, Maine, where they enjoyed a delightful seafood meal. They explored Odiorne Point State Park, which was once an old World War II base, and learned about its history and how global warming is affecting the area. Eric also took Faren to the traditional Kittery trading post to peruse souvenirs.
In addition to these adventures, Eric achieved a remarkable feat by winning his fourth tournament, the Yankee mens "C" championship. He played against opponents two levels higher than him for ratings, and his team only lost one game, which Eric does not count. He also received two new awards from the USDA for his work on supply chain resilience.
Finally, Eric started up volleyball again in New Hampshire after experiencing failures with meetups in DC. He decided to use Facebook and Eventbrite and has had good results, but the community seems to have good values and morals. Eric misses his good friends from DC, but he's happy to be in a place where he can mentally heal and take care of himself.
These are just some of Eric's epic adventures in the Northeast, and I'm sure there will be more to come. He has truly embraced the champion mindset and is living life to the fullest. Until next time, stay tuned for more tales of Eric's adventures!

My Journey to the City That Never Sleeps
Oh, let me tell you about my journey to the bustling metropolis of New York City with Faren by my side. We were both filled with wanderlust and set out to explore the city that never sleeps, and what a journey it was!
It all started with the musical "Hades Town" - a story of socialism, oppression, sorrow, and the agony of losing a loved one. The story and music captivated us both, and we felt the energy of the city around us. It was like we were reminiscing about what it was like to live in a major city.
And oh, the food! We savored the flavors of Ethiopian and Korean barbecue, relished in the pleasures of a fancy French dinner with live jazz music, and enjoyed the view of Central Park while listening to music by the water fountains. The journey also took us to the Brooklyn Bridge, where we explored Brooklyn and discovered a whole new side of New York.
Shopping was also part of our journey. We discovered amazing finds - Moscow Mule glasses, a retro "Hades Town" T-shirt, and beautiful street art to add to my collection. The journey was a positive one, filled with adventure, exploration, and great memories.
But all good things must come to an end, and we returned home to the tranquility of our abode. The journey was one to remember, and we will cherish the memories forever.

Lately, I've been doing a lot of reflecting on what it means to experience significant trauma in life. I used to take for granted how hard it is for people who are dealing with serious issues, but now I have a newfound respect and appreciation for them. As a result, I've been trying to show more patience and gratitude towards my friends and acquaintances who are going through tough times.
However, in my attempt to manage my own anxiety and depression, I've increased my medication which has left me feeling emotionally comatose. While I'm able to handle the normal stresses of life, I can't seem to feel any excitement or joy either. Even winning the championship in volleyball, which we've done for the third time in a row, didn't bring any feelings of happiness or excitement.
Despite this, I've been trying to take the time to appreciate the little things in life, like nature, trees, and streams. It's been a challenge to focus on the positive when there is so much negativity in the world, but I feel it's everyone's duty to make the world a better place.
I've been wondering how long it will take for my brain to heal from the trauma I've experienced. Perhaps I need to take a break and meditate in the woods for a week. For now, the only thing that brings me joy is spending time with my girlfriend, Faren.
Overall, dealing with trauma is a long and arduous journey, but finding moments of gratitude and joy in the little things can make it all worth it.

Reflections on Volleyball Championships and Appreciating the People in My Life
Today, I am feeling a mix of emotions. On one hand, I am proud of myself and my social sports volleyball team for winning back-to-back championships. It's been amazing to see how much we have improved over the years and how our hard work and dedication paid off. On the other hand, I am reflecting on the people that come and go in my life, especially the new friends I have made through volleyball who have become my best friends.
It's interesting how some people leave your life when you no longer bring them happiness. I have come across these fair-weather friends in my life, and it's always a painful experience. However, I am grateful for the new friends I have made through volleyball, who have been there for me through thick and thin. They have helped me celebrate the victories and supported me during tough times.
Speaking of tough times, I have been struggling with depression and anxiety lately. I am not sure what the cause is, but it's been keeping me really down. I try to be nice to everyone I know, but for some reason, people just enjoy being mean to everyone, including me. It's disheartening to see that civility and sportsmanship seem to be a thing of the past. I wish people would understand that everyone is battling something below the surface, and a little bit of grace and understanding would go a long way.
That being said, I am reminded to appreciate the people in my life that I care about because the fact is, everyone will be gone at some point, and you never know if you will get the chance to see them again. I have taken so many people for granted in my life and did not fully appreciate the people I enjoyed. Now that I reflect on them being gone, it makes me sad. So, I will strive to appreciate the people that are in my life and are there for me now.
Overall, I am feeling grateful for the blessings in my life, the good and the bad. I am thankful for my volleyball championships, my new friends, and the lessons that life is teaching me.

Second place is better than Third place
There's nothing quite like the thrill of competition, and the New England Yankee Volleyball Tournament was no exception. Our team put in a lot of hard work and dedication to make it to the tournament, and I'm proud to say that we came in second place.
As a player, I had a fantastic experience. I played really well and had a lot of fun. It was an opportunity to showcase my skills and prove to myself that I am a good volleyball player.
One of the most memorable aspects of the tournament was the way we came back from a six-point deficit. We never gave up, and we worked hard to make our way back into the game. It was a testament to our team's resilience and determination, and it showed that we were capable of achieving great things.
What made the tournament even more special was that the team was put together by Nate, and it was the first time we had all met. Despite not having played together before, we managed to work well as a team and come together to achieve our goals. It was an achievement in itself to do well without any prior experience playing together.
In the end, the tournament may not have been anything special, but it gave me a chance to prove to myself that I am a good volleyball player. I had so many good saves that I was really proud of my performance, and it was a great feeling to know that my hard work had paid off.
Overall, the New England Yankee Volleyball Tournament was a fantastic experience, and I'm proud of our team's performance. We never gave up, worked hard, and came together as a team to achieve great things. It was a reminder that with dedication and hard work, we can achieve anything we set our minds to.

A Weekend Getaway to Woodstock, Vermont
Woodstock, Vermont is known for its quaint charm and picturesque scenery, with rolling hills and covered bridges. During my weekend getaway, my girlfriend's family showed us the process of making maple syrup, a time-consuming task that required constant attention.
While they tended to the sap, my girlfriend and I explored the downtown area and stumbled upon a hidden gem: Au Comptoir. The drinks were amazing, and we left feeling rejuvenated.
We also visited Sugarbush Farm, famous for its cheeses and maple syrup. The farm tour and tasting were a great way to learn more about Vermont's agricultural history.
Leaving Woodstock was bittersweet, but we took home some homemade maple syrup and memories that will last a lifetime. I can't wait to go back and experience more of what this charming town has to offer.

Healing and Growth: Hiking the NH 48 4,000 Foot Mountains
I recently embarked on a journey of self-healing and personal growth by hiking the NH 48 4,000 foot mountains. After a painful divorce, I needed to find a way to focus my energy and work towards a better future. Hiking these mountains has become my outlet for healing and growth.
My girlfriend and I just finished hiking Mt Cabot, and although it was supposed to be a 4-hour hike, the recent snowfall made it an 8-hour adventure. But it was worth it! The scenery was breathtaking, and the sunset was truly amazing.
Hiking these mountains has been an incredible experience, and I'm excited to continue pushing myself and exploring new heights. It's not just about conquering the mountains; it's about discovering new strengths and capabilities within myself.
I'm sharing some photos from our hike, and I hope they inspire you to find your own path towards healing and growth. Remember, even the toughest journeys are worth it in the end.
Thank you for following my journey.
