Hi, it’s been a long while. Unfortunately I have yet to regain Amon as a muse. In the meantime I’ll be on Jack.

I remembered my teacher once explained what the word means, something like ‘to correct something by striking the mistake out’ which was what Amon did (to correct the world by striking the ghouls out’).

“And I believe you can,” the First Class investigator remarked, a nod ending his sentence. As she shifted her gaze from him to the streets, Amon took note of how she took note of the pedestrians. So far she has displayed eagerness and attentiveness; he looked forward to seeing her skills, and most importantly, her intuition. 

      “Unfortunately, yes. We’ve yet to be discreet about that. That’s why we need to raise our guards all the time.” If Chigyou, or Susumu, or any other technicians manage to come up with a way to improve the design of an unactivated quinque and make it more portable and less noticeable, it would be a huge feat for the CCG. Nevertheless, so far there were no reports of the briefcases significantly hindering an investigator, so the quinque’s redesign might not be the technicians’ main concern.

     Amon figured he would brief her with the ropes of information gathering. “Because our briefcases and coats give out our identity right away, it’s alright to come clearly as a ghoul investigator, both to a witness or a suspect. Even if they lie during interrogation despite our extensive intel, there are clear signs that ghouls can’t hide.

     “For example, the tendency to go to the restroom after a meal - when coupled with the amount of coffee drank, the amount of food eaten and the faint traces of water near their mouth after they came back from the restroom - these are possible signs of a ghoul. Of course, simply deducing their identity with those signs isn’t enough; and that’s when your intuition comes to play.”

      He then glanced at the alleyways. Particularly at those where bodies (or traces of them) were previously discovered. “Now, put yourself in the shoe of a ghoul in their early teens: starting to get a good grasp of your kagune, getting good at unleashing your power yet still unstable and rash, most likely still emotional; what kind of victims would you choose? And how would you kill them: impromptu, with planning, or--?” 

                                        ❝Um, all right. .❞

     AND HER FATHER’S words echoed in her mind: Be proud, be confident.  Don’t disgrace the family.   She chewed on the inside of her cheek, gaze averted from her senior.  Her eyes were clouded with uncertainty: Was she sounding too meek?  Nervously, she cleared her throat before continuing to speak with more confidence.

               ❝I mean, I— I’m sure I can handle any bar you set,                                               Amon-san.❞

     AND SHE OFFERED a grin of false confidence before turning her attention towards the streets that surrounded them, that confident look soon turning to one of seriousness.  Her brows furrowed slightly as she analyzed every face that passed by.  Any one of them could be a Ghoul waiting to strike.  The thought sent chills down her spine and caused her grip to tighten around her brief case.  

              ❝Right, I’ll keep my guard up.   Do you. . Do you think any               Ghouls will be able to pick us out easily? I mean, I just. .                 — Our briefcases. . Do they give away what we are?❞

Amon wasn’t sure whether lacking these ‘high hopes’ would result in his disposal - thus, freed from further involvements with Aogiri Tree’s plans - or disposal - actually end up tortured and killed because he wasn’t worth it anymore (most likely both). Also at eir’s words when ey said that the success rate is pretty crappy.

     Aogiri could throw them out for all he cared (if anything, it was for the better), but... 

     ...considering the low success rate, Amon could sense that Aogiri clearly lacks resources in these goddamn experiments. They might need to use the few remaining results they have, as shitty as they were. 

     In the end, what a shitty predicament.

    “Eyepatch.” Amon blurted out in reflex, as if to correct em for using the ‘wrong’ term. Realisation dawned on him: the puzzle pieces were falling together into one large, sinister picture (’Binge Eater’. ‘Kaneki Ken’. ‘Yasuhisa’. ‘Kanou Akihiro’… the center of the picture. It all makes sense now). Still full of holes, but Amon managed to connect the dots. His lips thinned into a grimace. “No, that’s not it,” Amon shook his head, his gaze directed a little too forceful at Takizawa, frustration tugged his eyebrows sharp.

    “If they’re planning to create more kakuja, why didn’t they kidnap ghouls and feed them ghoul flesh instead? A kakuja is a normal ghoul once– …But no, they specifically targeted ghoul investigators. They need something that ordinary ghouls do not have—”

     Human attributes. “--human attributes.” Amon’s words fell. “... they are planning to make more artificial ghouls. One-eyed ghouls, so to say.”

     Intoxicating was an understatement: with the last resolve left to resist his comrade’s scent, (after making sure no one was around) Amon looked at em, nodded, and spoke, “Alright. Let’s make our move and get out now.” They want to kill you, ey said? It’s the second kind of disposal then. Perfect timing.

Seidou nodded after a long moment, before ey skimmed back down the paperwork.

“Papers don’t provide much on that,”  ey said, hitting eir head with the heel of eir hand as ey flipped a page,  “Uhm–there’s not much on you.  Looks like they had high hopes for you, but they didn’t pan out…  I think we’re the two ‘best’ if we’re talking success rate…  But even then…”

Seidou shook eir head,  “When it’s a ‘you came out messed up, I came out okay, everybody else is dead’, the success rate is pretty crappy.”

Seidou bit eir lip,  “They want to try and remake the ghoul known as Centipede?  Which means kakujas.  I don’t know if we’re going to be able to–”

Why, oh why did Amon smell like eir mother’s best home cooking?  Why did everything about the man seem mouthwatering–in the way that was more how one would eat the best steak, seasoned to perfect, and it would melt in one’s mouth, rather than in the way that involved other desires.

“They want to kill you.”

“It’s nice to hear that,” he remarked, both at the siblings’ bond and the brother’s newfound ease. Amon let the faintest of smiles tug his lips. He was not naive; he knew that the more inmates he could befriend - or, at least, get to their good side - the better. It guarantees his safety--

     -- if they did not violate his principles. Amon would rather fight and suffer for his morals than turning a blind eye to them (perhaps he’s naive after all). And this is where his skills from military training kicks in: he's built well enough to defend himself from other inmates (in which those fights were rather frequent. God, he made more enemies than he could every wish here.)

     He’s pretty sure MInatsuki thought of him as an enemy, but Amon hoped he could at least get acquainted with her brother.

     “In G-Ward, yes. But I don’t belong here, my cell’s upstairs. The wardens have allowed access into G-Ward-- I didn’t know it existed prior to this.” Except from what I overheard from Major Aohi, but Amon kept quiet. 

     “And yes, I know that much.” A light huff, he’s gotten a good taste of Deadman Wonderland already to understand that. “I just wonder, does that mean you’re a... ‘Deadman’, as they call it? Did they give you shots and turn you into one?” He’s trying to draw a conclusion from his eavesdropping, the rumors from the prisoners above and the shots he was given just days ago. He hoped he could figure something out of this mess; and better yet, clear out his situation, being framed into prison and all.

      “ Oh, no OFFENSE taken. I mean, I get why you wouldn’t. ” Yoh admits. If anything, he expected as much, given Minatsuki’s personality. As psychologically  messed up  she was, however, Yoh still considered her his sister. Either way, he sheepishly nods. 

         “ Well, let’s just say in this place, it’s hard to NOT get attached. ”

     Soon, it appeared again - that slightly nervous smile he was so accustomed to wearing. “ I see. Hearing you say that really puts me at ease. ” Either way, Yoh couldn’t help but RELAX ever so slightly around this guy ( even if he hadn’t known his name yet. ) At least he knew for sure the man wouldn’t start an ILLICIT relationship with Minatsuki, right? He seemed too earnest for that. 

     Sure enough, the moment the other male mentioned G Ward, his expression DETERIORATED into a more a serious one.

      “ Yeah, the one && only. Are you a ( n e w c o m e r ) here? Unfortunately, this place is not all sunshine && roses. ”

“It’s Enma, then,” he settled. “You can call me Amon.” Being addressed as ‘buffy’ felt weird anyway. 

     “Simply put, well. A lot of things happened; some left my principles shaken.” A contemplation: eyes glancing at his palms, fingers entwining each other. He shifted his eyes back again, “what about you?”

“You tell me about it.” he pitifully agrees, his shoulders sagging from the memory flood. Grins a little at the other’s obvious confusion. “I’m fine with either Enma or redhead.”

hello. . ..... . it’s me....,

just personal pointers:

I lack the drive to rp. tumblr updated whoa missed a lot huh I have worked on drafts on Word, but just the thought of posting it here gives me low spirits.

Exams are neverending nuff said.

I am working on fixing my grades. I’m not one of the people with the lowest grades, but my grades are dropping and I’m losing ranks. I can achieve high scores, I have a high chance to get accepted without test in the university I want, but I tend to be undermotivated; hopefully I can overcome that.

I am uncertain which muse I should rp. I feel estranged on all of my blogs?? Probably because I rarely get active on any - Zacharias, Amon, Knave... there are threads I still want to write, I still do, but the drive to be here is lacking. I don’t think I have enough guts to get my Kamui blog active, I don’t think I’m up to enter a new fandom. .. . kinda scared, it’s been a while since I did so. The last was with Amon.

I suppose I will just rp for the sake of writing and finishing drafts. Then I’ll keep the writing cycle going on. There’s no time to be a woobie for me. After all, I aim to be a professional writer; perhaps adopting a ‘professional’ mindset whilst rping here will do.
