recap of introduction to entry 14 / to the ark ; program :

[june 20 2009] introduction - jay introduces the series and alex and what marble hornets was supposed to be , the following entries are raw footage from 2006 , hasnt seen alex since then

[june 20 2009] entry 1 - filmed in alexs house with no audio , peaking outside the window to spot the operator , implication that the tape had been going on for a while and this was the only odd occurrence on it

[june 21 2009] twitter - ‘due to interest in the youtube channel, set up a twitter account. updates posted here.’

[june 21 2009] entry 2 - before events of entry 1 , near the set of marble hornets alex was walking his dog and encountered the operator who is described as a strange tall guy which set off rocky . aftee going back home alex drives back to see if hes still there but hes not

[june 22 2009] twitter - ‘just realized i havent eaten all day. taking a much needed break.’

[june 23 2009] entry 3 - a series of clips taken from alex filming himself . clips are as followed :

-low shot of alex as he rips up papers

-shot of a forest at night

-shot of alex buying more film

-shot of alex typing before looking out his window and checking his watch

-blurry shot of the forest at day

-shot of alex driving

-shot of alex looking out the blinds before his phone alarm goes off

[june 23 2009] twitter - ‘feeling very disorganized.’

[june 25 2009] entry 4 - filmed at a park with no audio , alex walks around before catching a shot of the operator . jay suspects alex removed the audio himself

[june 29 2009] entry 5 - before marble hornets began jay and alex went location scouting with jay filming alex talking about the locations he wanted to use , each clip has severe audio distortion at portions as well as visual tearing. the first shot is done at the gazebo. the second shot is done at the firepit and near the climbing tower.

[july 1 2009] twitter - ‘not seeing any more tearing or distortion. at least i know what to look for now.’

[july 4 2009] entry 6 - possible continuation of entry 1 , the clip has no audio . alex is filming outside the window before catching a glimpse of the operator and moving the camera away and presumably running farther into the house . he turns the camera back to the window just as the operator leans over and walks by the windows

[july 8 2009] entry 7 - the description says ‘patterns emerging’ . raw footage from marble hornets . alex and brian are in a car . alex seems to be talking to brian and an unknown girl off screen , telling her not to say anything as the camera picks it up as brian laughs . alex starts to feed brian tims lines as brian starts to act . after the scene brian stretches and leans back , revealing the operator in the distance . alex has a sudden mood shift and decides to end the scene . the clip ends with severe audio distortion .

[july 12 2009] entry 8 - description reads ‘short entry. doesnt seem like alex.’ the clip shows alex scribbling on a drawing pad with various drawing spread out around him . the audio cuts off and he stands to turn the light off . the rest of the clip is too dark to see and the audio never comes back

[july 19 2009] entry 9 - raw footage from marble hornets . jay says he never say alex act the way he did in the tape . the tape shows tim and sarah at the gazebo acting out a scene . alex stops them to get them to redo it as tim mentions this is the eighth take . children can be heard in the background . alex stops them and sarah remarks on this . tim makes a remark of having nothing to do later and alex gets annoyed . they start again .

the clip cuts as seth begins to film again . this sets alex off who didnt want the camera turned off during the break . tim and sarah talk to eachother quietly as alex gets mad at seth . sarah asks for a script and seth and alex appear on screen . alex gets louder as he mentions seth brought his dog . sarah tells him to calm down . tim and sarah start to argue with alex . alex apologies and they start again .

[july 19 2009] twitter - ‘exhausted.’

[july 22 2009] to the ark ; regards - description reads ‘////////‘. multiple rectangle blocks of slashes of various sizes flash on screen before the word ‘closely’ appears

[july 23 2009] twitter - ‘finding it harder to sleep lately.’

[july 23 2009] twitter - ‘very strange video response to entry #9 from “totheark”. not sure what its trying to say.’

[july 25 2009] twitter - ‘very sick. 104 fever. need to sleep instead of looking through the tapes.’

[july 28 2009] twitter - ‘feeling better now. back to the tapes.’

[july 28 2009] entry 10 - description reads ‘more missing audio.’ the clip has no audio and shows alex running through the woods with a flashlight pointed to the ground. eventually he stops and looks through the trees before flashing light onto the operator and takes off running again. reaches a building and stops. spots the operator closer this time . the camera cuts to black .

[july 31 2009] to the ark ; the operator - description reads ‘\\\yes\\\’. the audio is the missing audio from the previous entry uploaded . text flashes on the screen to say ‘Lakes In Stillness will Take Every life of the Night.’

[july 31 2009] twitter - ‘another response from ‘totheark’ with entry 10.’

[august 2 2009] twitter - ‘agreeing with others. the video response ‘operator’ sounds like some of the missing audio. maybe from entry 10?’

[august 3 2009] twitter - ‘moving soon. need to take my mind off the tapes for a day or two.’

[august 9 2009] entry 11 - description reads ‘alex missed something.’ jay found another encounter with the operator but doesnt think alex knew. shot opens with alexs wall covered in drawings . he wakes up and takes the camera before walking into the hallway which had the lights on . he turns them off then goes downstairs . he looks out various windows but sees nothing . he turns the lights on before going back upstairs . alex points the camera back to the wall as he lays down . a shadow can be seen on the wall as the pages rustle

[august 10 2009] twitter - ‘feeling sick again.’

[august 11 2009] to the ark ; deluge - description reads ‘///‘. a shot of what looks like overhead lights flickering while a voice says something indiscernible . at the end the words ‘watching you’ flash on screen.

[august 11 2009] twitter - ‘totheark has responded again. its getting kind of unnerving.’

[august 27 2009] twitter - ‘been sick for the past week. still looking for entry 12.’

[august 29 2009] entry 12 - raw footage of marble hornets . alex seems to be acting more like himself . alex and brian and an unknown woman are shooting test footage of them walking down to the river . heavy audio and visual distortion is seen . the camerawoman points off the distance to the operator who the mistake as tim. the camerawoman says to herself , ‘what he was doing’

[august 31 2009] twitter - ‘waiting to see if totheark does anything.’

[september 1 2009] to the ark ; impurity - description reads ‘000000000’. the word begin flashes in the upper left corner before the screen begins to fill with 0 . cuts to a video of a plant in a thunderstorm alongside a frequency . the word operator appears in the plant . it shows zeros filling up the screen alongside the letters ‘T H E R E W A S M R E’

[september 1 2009] twitter - ‘as expected, totheark responded.’

[september 3 2009] twitter - ‘headache. need to lay down for a while.’

[september 4 2009] twitter - ‘blacked out last night. going to the doctor tomorrow.’

[september 10 2009] twitter - ‘latest tape has me in it, watching it very closely.’

[september 10 2009] entry 13 - description reads ‘i was close by’. alex is filming with jay next to him . he tells jay the camera battery is low and to go get one from the car which he does . alex continues to walk into the forest . the clip cuts to the sky before cutting again to alex sweeping leaves off of concrete to reveal the operator symbol . he steps back to look at the building before walking away . the audio cuts off and he begins to run . he reaches the building only to encounter the operator. the video cuts off.

[september 11 2009] twitter - ‘for those asking, i did go to the doctor the other day. couldnt find anything wrong with me.

[september 15 2009] totheark ; exit - description reads ‘remember me’. there is heavy audio distortion. the clip starts on a black screen with the letters ‘RAT’ ‘HE’ ‘ORE’ ‘TOP’ appearing before it cuts off to someone in the woods filming jay getting the battery from alexs car from entry 13. as he leaves the person filming runs after him. a beep is heard and the video cuts. the words WHEREIS THEARK flash on screen.

[september 17 2009] twitter - ‘it was ~3 years ago, so my memory of entry 13 is a little fuzzy. though i do remember going to get a battery out of alexs car.’

[september 17 2009] twitter - ‘definitely never noticed anyone filming me do so.’

[september 19 2009] twitter - ‘could not sleep at all last night. shaking. thinking of going back to the doctor again.’

[september 23 2009] entry 14 - description reads ‘beginning a search.’ the video starts with visual distortion as the camera is pointed at the door slightly ajar . slowly a hand reaches out and the operator opens the door . he stands in the door frame before walking inside . alex grabs the camera and turns the lights on before pointing it back to the now open door . he stands and closes it so its slightly ajar before laying down again . jay says thirty two minutes pass before alex changes the tape . it goes to a clip of alex bleeding from the head . an alarm beeps and the video cuts off . jay says he needs to find out where alex has gone.

[september 23 2009] twitter - ‘getting the same question a lot. nothing of interest happened in those 32 minutes. just the camera pointed at the door.’

[september 26 2009] to the ark ; program - description reads ‘000’ . starts off with a test screen before going to a shot of a house in the rain . the letter s is seen in the corner . various zeros and dashes appear in two columns. the words ‘bleed more’ appear on a black screen.
