Because I am me I noted down all the tarot with training wheels keywords while watching the videos. And then decided to put them in a grid to make connections between meanings of the same suit/numbers more visual. So here, enjoy:
Note: I'm aware the cards can be interpreted in different ways and have different meanings and connotations for different people. But this list was a nice starting point towards memorizing the meanings for me, and I figured they might help someone else too.

I don’t know if I’ve spelled it out on tumblr yet, but I want to talk about The Mammal List.
The Mammal List is something I came up with when I was in a mental health intensive outpatient program four(!!) years ago. The premise is that we are at our core animals, and if I consider myself the way I’d consider a pet cat, I’m much more likely to practice good self-care:
1. Mammals need food. Eat something! If the Hellbeast doesn’t pass judgment on a piece of cheese, neither should you. (She also eats anything small enough to fit in her mouth, so be judicious in that respect. Food is good. Lint is not.)
2. Mammals need hydration. Drink something! It doesn’t have to be water. It could be delicious tuna juice. You’re a discerning creature. I trust you.
3. Mammals need sleep. Make a soft nest and let yourself enjoy it. Knead it until it’s comfortable. Let yourself rest as long as you need. Just existing is hard. You’ve earned a break.
4. Mammals need movement. Take your precious body and do something. Don’t hurt yourself. Be kind.
5. Mammals need stimulation. Treat yourself to a new jingle ball or mousie toy. Get a bird feeder and stare at it. Let yourself really enjoy it. Play is in your nature.
6. Mammals need socialization. I know this one is particularly difficult these days, but if you don’t keep reaching out, you’re going to forget yourself and start biting people.
7. Mammals need cleanliness. Nobody likes scooping the litterbox, but it has to be done. Don’t forget your own body. Make your fur shine. Treat yourself as the luminous creature you are.
And most important of all: don’t feel guilty. This isn’t about deserving (although you do deserve it). You’re an animal and you need these things to survive, and I very much want you to survive.

Reblogging to add the link to the tarot with training wheels playlist
You don't have to write on your cards of course, you could use flashcards or simply take notes on a piece of paper (that's what I did first, but then I kept referencing the paper instead of the book so it wasn't a huge improvement)
This lady also wrote a book on this method, it's called "Unlocking the tarot, create your own keys" by Lisa Papez
I know many people will probably consider this sacrilege. But ever since I took a pen and markers to my cards my readings have become so much more clear.
I don't have to constantly look up meanings. I can see at a glance if a certain suit or number is in the majority, and what that might mean. And because I don't need to look things up I can actually focus on the cards instead of the book.
What I did? I made the border the color associated with the suit and wrote single keyword under each picture. (Got the keyword idea from tarot with training wheels)
Then later I went back and added the suits keywords and element at the top, de numbers keywords in the left border and some extra keywords specific to the card in de right border. And edged the cards because I quite liked the colored borders and wanted to give them a nice finish.
Now instead of whispering hidden messages my cards scream in my face. Is it pleasant? No, not always. Does is make reading al lot easier? Yes it does.

It’s still Halloween for me in my heart and soul and fyp. So here’s some tarot stuff for you:
When it comes to the cards I’m a freestyle guy all the way. But sometimes I really really really really need a spread. And I go FINE ILL DO A SPREAD!!
It for when I need something that has a call and response to it.
Here are 2 that I wrote and use often. Lay out as you please:
Vibe check
1. Executive function: how’s your function baby
2. Hormones: they effect SO MUCH of the vibe
3. Emotions: feels for reals
4. Mindset/affirmations/focus: where’s your head at at?
5. Diet/health: consumables you’re consuming and how that’s looking in the body
6. Desires/Needs: what do you wish for or require that can give that extra boost to the vibe?
7. Spirit: higher self and the folk on other side floating around and what they’re screaming at you
What spirits be saying
1. Who am I hearing from? what spirit?
2. Theme. Theme of the message:
3. Situation being addressed:
4. Comment, Extra context to clarify:
5. Offering for them that they would like from me in response of gratitude. That spirit’s Love language requirements:
HAVE FUN 🔮

“ghost in my life” spread for halloween
1) What is a ghost in my life right now?
2) In what way is this energy presenting itself?
3) What’s a good way for me to separate myself from this energy?
4) What’s something I should keep in mind during this process?
