A quick note on Rosalie and Edward’s relationship:

I just really hate how smeyer wrote the relationship between Edward and Rosalie, particularly in Breaking Dawn.

Edward and Rosalie loved each other. Yes, they fundamentally disagreed with how to handle Bella—but they were family. Edward was there the night that Rosalie was changed, they spent two years together as siblings, along with their parents, before Emmett, Jasper or Alice came along!

In Midnight Sun/Twilight, Edward didn’t share Rosalie’s motivations behind her initial dislike of Bella from the other Cullens. It’s not because he was scared Rosalie would “hunt him like a dog,” but because he knew she was embarrassed. And she still went with Esme to drive Bella’s truck when her life was threatened. Even though she didn’t want to!

In New Moon, Rosalie called her brother after Bella’s supposed suicide because she missed him. Edward at first contemplates screening her calls when she first dials his number like any annoyed brother would. And Esme urges Edward to make amends after leaving Volterra by getting in the car with Rose and Emmett. Rosalie is fully ready to apologize to Edward, who is beyond upset, and he tells her: “I know.” He still forgave her! She then thanks Bella for saving her brother. Her brother who she loves!

In Eclipse, Rosalie is still surprised to find out how discreet Edward was about her jealously towards Bella. Wow! He must really care for Rose! When she was changed, she remembers how angry Edward sounded—and she later figured out that anger was directed at the men who raped her! And during The Vote, she is the only one who agrees with Edward about not turning Bella.

Guess what? Rosalie and Edward loved each other dearly. They canonically shared a similar affinity with cars, they were the two best musicians in the family and Rosalie did his wife’s hair for her wedding. I found their relationship more interesting and dynamic than with any of his other siblings because their relationship was real. You can disagree with your siblings, fight with them and get annoyed with them—but guess what? You still love them. Even a useless, melodramatic drama queen like Edward Cullen.

And you’re telling me she just gave him a forced hard smile at the eleventh hour? When she would be gone for an extended period of time? In an attempt to save their family? No. No. No.

Rosalie and Edward would have done nothing but embraced! Rosalie would have told her brother how much she loved him! Rosalie would have warned him not to be a dumb ass like he has been for the entire book series thus far.

Ms. Rosalie Hale was done so dirty by an author who couldn’t consistently keep up with her character’s brilliance.

Okay but I have always felt this way. Bella radiated Top Energy and no one can tell me any different.

Edward literally calls himself a masochist so what makes you think he’s the one doing the sadism part in sadomasochism, @ EL James?

Graduated from high school, got into college and spoke at graduation. Spent a year working for a local magazine and then a radio station. Now I work at a podcast and got a full ride to an MA program at a really good school. Graduating May 2021. Came out. Got into my first serious relationship, broke up after 3.5 years. Bleh. 

My friend sent me this today as a call out… 

Personally, since my first twilight phase, I got a master’s degree from one of the best universities in the UK, became bilingual, lived in 3 different countries, visited 22 more, started volunteering at my local low-income health clinic, and currently teach refugee kids how to read. Oh, and I also run a popular twilight blog on the side. 

I think I’m doing pretty well, thanks.

i just realized that in new moon edward wears the same thing he wore to bella’s party as when he tells bella he’s leaving the next day because not only has he been up all night (duh) but he was too distracted and too busy contemplating leaving bella to ever change clothes EYE-
