had a breakdown in the bathroom for 2 hours today cus it took me like 3 hours to write a paragraph of my English coursework (which i then deleted cus it was so ass) I also have this drama exam thing on Wednesday and i lowkey dont really know my lines and i havent done these fuck ass questions for it yet and its 11pm im boutta swallow every pill in this goddamn house ANYWAY I'm seeing the school counselor on Thursday so that's cool I guess I'm not sure what I'm gonna say though but we can unpack that later

one thing I'm gonna post about a lot are my ocs but I realise that no one knows the context except for me so this is that

Setting

Primarily set in a currently unnamed elite private school (I'm working on it), heavily inspired by school like the ones in Kaguya-Sama: Love is War or Kakegurui. It was established sometime in the early 1900s in a country similar to the UK (majority of descriptions, behaviours, and characters will allude to it being in England but since I've only been here for a bit I'll be adding other details from different cultures).

It ranges from yr7 to yr13 (the British coming through) and those who attend are either geniuses or wealthy. Students either apply or are sought out by the school itself. All candidates must pass an entrance exam before entering. If you cannot afford tuition, you would apply for a scholarship, but of course, everyone is free to try.

While boarding is an option, it is not a requirement. Students may board for only certain days of the week, or return home for the weekend. Boarders must follow a schedule. (I'll write a more detailed post in the future) Breakfast and dinner can be attended by day students.

It will be a mix of different school systems; I just pick what I like from different schools I've been to and also take inspiration from others.

Uniform

The uniform at its very core consists of a white collar blouse, red pleated skirt with gold details or dark brown trouser, and a red tie. Students may wear either a cardigan or blazer, both of which are also red with gold details. Shoes must be black and formal and the heel must be no higher than 2 inches. Socks must be white. Modifications to the uniform pieces itself are forbidden, but addition of pins on the blazer or such is allowed.

There are no restrictions on make up, nails or hair, but students may only have 2 sets of earrings and 1 face piercing during the day and no other visible body piercings or tattoos. Only 1 chain is allowed on each wrists and only 1 necklace.

Student Council

All aspects to do with the student body is ran by the school council, which is made up by the President, the Vice (President), the Secretary & the Treasurer. The President is normally yr 12-13 and a previous Vice President, if the previous Vice is a yr13, the next President is chosen by the Student Council. Candidates for the Vice are selected by the President and then voted on by students. They must be yr10 or above, normally yr11-12. The Secretary and the Treasurer are selected by the President and, again, must be yr10 or above.

Council members are exempt from uniform.

The Council Meeting room is located at the top of a tower in the middle of school, the large windows on all sides allow the entire premise to be seen from that one spot. It also serves as the President's office. The floor below is belongs to the other members, who all have their own rooms. The staff room is another level down.

Some areas supervised by the Student Council include:

Overseeing general school club activity (budget, location, approval for establishment etc.)

Selecting prefects along with the Head Student

Establishing new or modifying existing school rules

Aftermath and punishment for serious student misconduct.

Organising school wide activities (open days, school festivals, speech day etc.)

Handling feedback and complaints regarding the school from students

Launching, continuing, or finishing large scale projects such as renovation or new building entirely.

And more.

Prefects

Prefects ensure rules are followed and upkept. They must be yr9 or above and will handle the situation in the moment, or report back to the Head Student if serious. Much like the Vice, candidates for Head Student are selected by the President then voted on by the student body, they must also already be a prefect.

Prefects have their own building. Not quite as grand as the Student Council's, but it is more than functional. It works almost like a small police station, as well as having the Head Student's office.

Some responsibilities of prefects include:

Patrolling the school grounds during lesson time to see no one is skipping (reserved for yr12-13 when they don't have class)

Keeping an eye for 'trouble' students

Breaking up and dealing with physical or verbal fights between students and reporting it to the Head Student

Discovering and reporting secret societies

Etc.

Clubs

All students are required to partake in at least 2 extracurricular activities. School Council and Prefect duty does count. The Club Chairman is responsible for setting up activities, handling the budget with the Treasurer, leading interschool competitions etc.

Chess Club (Though it as evolved into an 'any fancy tabletop game' club really)

Plot summary

Erin finally enters a new chapter of his life, going into Year 12, but as he stumbles into the bathroom and stubs his toe on the doorframe, he realises that, really, nothing has changed.

El is trying to get through the year, but he ends up helping the people around him, reluctantly, on accident, all while his own past follows him close, draped in white and red.

they were gonna tell my parents but I was like hell nah and that made me think why am I so against that cause like I love my parents

anyway yeah it made me rethink a lot of shit i thought i knew about myself or stuff i havent even considered thinking about and if I don't get to share this with someone that isnt myself soon I'm gonna explode
