Summer

I've been relishing summer in its full glory for the first time ever, I think. This summer has been a special one. It's the small gap between graduating high school and strating university, and it's the best I've ever felt to be quite honest. These past three months have just been amazing for me mentally. Like I am suddenly at peace with everything, my anxiety never making an appearance, enjoying the sunny days (even though they are a bit too sweaty at times), but feeling it pass by far too quick anyways.

There's only about two weeks left before I'm stuffed back in a school routine. I'm not necessarily looking froward to that part, but I'm equally excited to see what my studies will bring me. Still I ponder if I've made the right choice of subject. I can never get over the idea of having to know exactly what you will be doing the rest of your life at the age of 17.

Most excited I am about meeting new people. Experiencing new experiences. That sorta thing. Meeting new people and having a complete change in routine and environment scares me mildly, though I suspect it will be fine, and that people will hopefully like me as I am.

For now I am grasping these last two weeks with tender care. I'll try to really live in them, though a lot of my days will be spend back at work (getting in some more hours before I'm busy again). I have a few fun days coming up as well, and I'm looking forward tot hose and just spending time with ym family now that everyone's still at home.

Okay, so hi?

In case someone reads this (which is at the moment very unlikely, I follow 2 people and created this blog thing a mere 10 minutes ago), I'd like to introduce myself.

I like writing, though I've never achoeved to create something serious. It's mainly random poems and songs in my phone notes, the rants in my notebook and the one fanfiction I wrote when I was 15. This is my attempt at creating something (???), maybe at least a place where I can let my thoughts ramble on without judgement.

I am Elle btw. My username was chosen because I'd love to learn French better, but I used to be very bad at it in high school, so I kind of stopped trying. I still love the way the language sounds.

Other things I'm passionate about are queer literature and media, finding good things at the thriftstore and making music.

I'm a bit lonely I guess, and somehow this feels like a last resort to create something meaningful and get to know people?

I don't really know how this whole tumblr thing works tbh. I used ot have a fan account thing on here, but didn't use it much and never really got familiar with the way this site works. Anyways, that is it for now.
