The heat trope is something I see often in fics but I want to talk about ruts and them being the complete opposite to heats.

Not just the classic boring way of heats making a mech needy and ruts making a mech aggressive. Heats are sometimes written as a mech’s internal temperature rising until it’s unbearable hot, even scorching to the touch.

I want to propose making ruts in opposite to that. Make the mech’s internal temperature core drop until the plating is freezing over. Make them shiver and joints lock until they’re desperate to find a warm frame in heat to hold. Shoving their popsicle spike into a forge hot valve. Fragging until the temperatures even out and they’re back to normal.

I want cold ruts and hot heats.

I have an addiction of putting characters to songs.

I’m making a playlist for trine specific songs, and I got several Starscream coded songs but I’m semi-struggling with Skywarp and Thundercracker.

First five are Star, the next two are Warp, and the last is Tc.

I’d love some recommendations! Something to listen to when I’m writing for them.

I have a lot to say

Vos is composed of spire colonies. Each colony fends for itself but seekers migrate between colonies as they see fit. A spire colony will have a stronger psychic connection. So a seeker from a Southern Spire will have minimal connection to a Northern Spire seeker but a stronger one from their colony.

If a seeker moves spires then their psychic connections will reform.

Kinda like a bee structure, there are worker trines and queen trines. Or in other terms, Sire Trines and Carrier Trines. Depending on the colony's size, there could be multiple carrier trines, but there is always the lead carrier trine.

It doesn't exactly mean the carrier trine is in charge, as they're mainly there to grow the population. A lead sire trine usually gives orders on structure building and organizing trades between spires.

Carrier trines are heavily guarded and protected. If a sire trine acts up they're kicked from the spire, forced to create a new one or join another.

Carrier seekers leave their home spire to join another or create a new one once finding their trine. It keeps diversity in Vos.

If a carrier trine is unwell it affects the whole spire. If a spire loses a carrier trine to deactivation then the spire will most likely fail.

Vos is secretive and doesn't let any other city-state inside its borders. If some mech tries entering they're quickly deactivated.

Elite trine fluff is fun and all

But the concept of hatesex is intriguing

Once joining the Decepticons, the elite trine are ordered to form a trine. Them all despising each other. Starscream is egotistical and demanding, Thundercracker is standoffish and emotionless, Skywarp is careless and boisterous. They endlessly argue. It begins to look like they’re getting along; only because they’re fragging the every loving slag out of each other.

If there’s no energon spilled then it was no fun. There’s score marks indented into plating, scorch marks from thrusters, bite marks covering the wings.

It solves nothing, they still hate each other, but it at least gets their energy out.

Starscream and Thundercracker lavishing Skywarp in attention and care. Overloading him over and over until he can only say their designations.

Yes! Skywarp would be such a brat, not listening to Starscream or Thundercracker. Starscream needing to wrangle him down. Smacking his aft, pulling his wing. Skywarp would behave by the end of the night but will be right back to his antics the next morning.

Something I want to genuinely explore is selective mutism for a character. It’s something I’ve researched into and have a basic understanding of and interests me.

Transformers One Fanon Thoughts Below

TfOne Thundercracker having selective mutism. Only speaking through the trine bond and relying on Starscream and Skywarp to speak up for him. It also retains to his wings, which remain locked in place while other seeker’s wings are expressive and always moving.

Thundercracker having severe anxiety but it getting far worse once the high guard is chased away by Sentinel and left for dead on the surface. Him switching into a survival mode as he helps Starscream find resources. Soundwave can pick up his emotions enough but others start to avoid Thundercracker as it’s too hard to communicate with him. Maybe he was recovering slowly but essentially reverted back to square zero when Optimus Prime once again banned the high guard from Iacon, and now the more ruthless Megatron is leading them.
