So I’ve seen some artists show their idea of the next generation of Jak and Daxter aka the future kids Jak and his friends might have. Have you ever had thought about or drawn Jak and Keira kid and Tess x Dax kid?

ok, imma gonna have to admit something since this isn't the first times I've been asked this, but I actually have never made or had much interest in making fankids. I honestly dont know why I lack this brain chemical, with the amount of headcannons I come up with this should be right up my alley, but no.

But whatever, I'll think up as much as I can for this, just know that for my AU, its very unlikely these characters will be a part of any of it.

Damascus (son of Jak and Keira)

Named after Damas (because I think its funny). Grew up copying his dads constant scowl, but has never had an angry thought in his life. Took up his mums love of gadgets, focusing on precursor tech and will sneak around the monk temple for info (the monks are aware of this but dont mind, alittle confused on why he insists on sneaking in). Even though not mute he's still the least likely to speak out of all four. Was told a story about lurker sharks (probably told by Daxter) and now has a fear of the ocean.

Jak is very, VERY careful with what stories he tells his son and what lessons he might take from them and gives evil eyes to anyone who tries suggesting Damascus does the same hero stuff Jak did as a kid. Bro knows how badly all of that can go and does not want any of that for his son. A result of that is Damascus doesn't have a lot of experience with eco, only what he knows from Keira's family (green eco for first aid). He's only heard about light eco from the monks and he DEFINITELY doesn't know nadda about using dark eco. Damascus has only rarely seen the dark Jak, and always when he's in danger, so thinks of it just as "man my dad is so cool he can kick the butt of anyone that messes with me".

Has any of Jak's dark eco been passed on to Damascus? Something to ponder, I'm sure it wont affect him too badly.

The Triplets (Tess and Daxter's kids)

Cally (bow), Cash (piercings), Cade (gloves): They're the offspring of a sarcastic ego-filled furball and a gun manic bossbitch, you think any of them would be normal? no. All three are all different levels of shitshow, and are determined to make that everyone else's problem.

Cade is the honorary 'nerd' of the family, fixated on studying precursors and the worlds inner workings. Had an existential crisis at age 6 after thinking about whether or not they had any sort of human DNA from both their parents not being born an ottsel. He always follows Damascus around when he's snooping, making their own sworn oath of secrecy. Cade will sometimes ask his dad about dark eco which all of the time loops to "shit stings, stay out of it son." Once asked uncle Jak, got shut down real fast (bro you're giving your uncle Gol and Maia flashbacks pls stop he's too old for this).

Cash took the love of demolition from Tess and spends alot of time hanging around uncle Torn and aunt Ashelin learning about military mechanics and tactics used by the guard. She gets super hyped when hearing battle stories and sometimes pesters Damascus about anything his pa might have told him about metalheads. Because of the closeness Cash has with the leaders of Haven, she's one of the only kids that know in more detail about Jak's dark side and see's her uncle as a much more intimidating figure. She doesn't plan on telling Cade any of that despite his studies, she's alittle worried he'll get himself into trouble.

Cally got all the showboat center stage child energy from her dad, serving as the distraction for when the trio are doing crimes. Cally acts alot like 'Precursor Legacy' Daxter, always talking, always going for everyone's attention. Alot of that's an act of course, and Cally is often stuck running around making sure her siblings aren't caught in any mess or that the blame of any damage is shifted from them to someone else/her. Cally makes sure to involve Damascus in the chaos the three get into occasionally, even if he doesn't act interested. She once tired racing with Keira for the sake of fame, and while racing was dropped because of a fear of crashing, Cally is very skilled with vehicles and can speed across the city if she ever needs to get anywhere. She knows all secret paths in Haven and Spargus, if you're a target you will never get away, she will catch you.

Everyone takes part in keeping an eye on all of them (especially the triplets) but Sig makes sure that Damascus gets home safe each night, wouldn't want the past to repeat itself would we.

Pretty sure that's all I got. Maybe I'll do more with these guys if there's enough interest. Otherwise I'm back to comic stuff.

Ayo, since we have a Mobian Jak and Daxter, we're gonna need to see Jak (Or Sonic) using Dark and Light Eco powers/transformations one day.

What do you think they would look like?

I've already drawn Jak in werehog form which is still how I think dark eco would manifest in mobians, so I thought more on how eco is used/acts in the crossover.

I got it in my head that the main cast all have a specific eco colour they master. sonic wields blue for obvious reasons, tails probably got yellow, amy and knuckles with red. shadow being the "ultimate lifeform" and all can master all of them while sonic being sonic can use them with just enough control.

silver uses light eco in the way its used in the first game, less of the winged god form which id say is 'super' coded

Does anyone else lay awake at night thinking about how for anyone else living in Sandover village, they're just going about the day as normal until, from the local sage's hut, there's this bright light and strange noises. When it all goes quiet again, the sage and his daughter are missing, along with the two scruffy ratbags that help around with chores and cause general chaos. Gone, only scraps of debris proof that they were there, assumptions of some machinery malfunction being the only explanation that's agreed upon. There are no children in the village now, everything gets a lot quieter, everyone deals with the grief and confusion of what happened. The sage's hut is left untouched, not even the money hungry mayor has any interest in using it for anything.

Even more of this cause the second I connected Eggman and Praxis I knew what had to be done, and while I'm at it ill just add the whole family. I got a feeling Ivo would mess with dark eco like the twins so he's got the same features.

Also, after thinking about it abit and deciding that if I ever drew any of the sages they would be echidna, Keira should also follow that rule of thinking. So here, Jak the Hedgehog, Keira the Echidna and Daxter the Short. or ah you know whatever Chip is.

Awhile ago you did a mini crossover with jak , keira and daxter ending up on sonic world. But keira was a cat right and jak a hedgehog?

I'll be real, i put very little thought into mobian races other than Daxter, because its hilarious. I get the feeling that hedgehogs are the main powerhouse stand-ins, so Jak, an eco channeler, being a hedgehog makes sense in my mind, but for Keira I honestly dont know which species would work with her. I guess technically I should have drawn her also as a hedgehog, but since she's got sage family I thought ok well maybe this would actually be something else.

Am I thinking too much into this? yes. I've got nothing else to focus on and this is what happens when you go a week on 5 hours of sleep

I dont know if i could call Keira's abilities in the original game light eco powers, mainly cause of how end-game those abilities are meant to feel, but anyway. Since a game mechanic is the player gets upgrades from Keira, the ability AU Keira has is what I'm just calling "amplify". channeling eco into objects to increase kinetic energy or impact, green to match her old man. same thing can be done to other eco users to give them a boost.

and yes, phoenix will have to face the will of god here because you cant just shoot down someone's partner and not expect to get out in one piece boi WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT GIRLBOSSING TOO HARD??

gonna be honest, struggled alittle figuring out both how id want this to go down and how I think it would go down considering the characters and they way they act. The aroace in me probably affected this but I dont personally think there'd be a huge dramatic proposal that would definitely go down if Daxter proposed to Tess. Jak is just abit too closed off with that sorta thing, and while Keira still is pretty forward with most things something I've noticed with the way they've acted towards each other from the start is that they both equally will make some sort of advance which the other is always ok with, like the time they've been around each other has meant they subconsciously know what they other is comfortable with. So sharing that same brain wavelength, both would propose at the same time.

I like to think both mums would get along well enough. A "black cat and golden retriever" type dynamic, at least with the versions I've drawn.

Took a crack at trying to figure out what characters mothers might look like, tbh none of these are super good but I'm doing something which is taking god long and I needed a break.

I read a fanfic a while back that wrote Jak's ma as this badass pirate who's out adventuring the world and I thought mmm yes this is cannon now -yoink-

I think the author described her as this really tall beef of a woman, but I figure Jak has to get his short genes from somewhere.

Also allow me to indulge for a second, but my personal goofy story headcanon is that Jak and Ashelin's ma knew each other. When Praxis took the palace, Jak's mother died and Ashelin's ma is the one that takes Jak out of the building to hide in the city. Depending on how you wanna guess what sorta character she was, either she was so horrified by her husbands actions, she leaves the city never to be seen again, OR she goes back to get her daughter and she's killed in crossfire

Made an attempt to figure out Keira's ma as well, but its probably the one I couldn't really figure out. Just this hardass metal and rock focused sage that's meant to lead into Keira's love of mechanics but that might be a stretch.

So the thing I'm doing that's taking so long meant I had to draw Boggy Billy and the amount of side eye I've been giving this lad. like, there's NO WAY that this is the case but i swear to god its Naughty Dogs fault for being so loosey goosey with who gets both or any parents seriously why does noone but Sig have a mum in this game series. WHO AT NAUGHTY DOG HAD MUMMY ISSUES??

also you ever think if any of the people experimented on with dark eco turned into precursors, but both Praxis and Skyheed were like "huh, they turned into rats, welp that's a failure, into the blender"

Surprise, my AU has its own custom villain.

His name is literally just a joke I had with my friend when I was making him. I had to call him something and I kept on seeing this dude as a reverse Jak, so, Kaaj. get it?

Kaaj is one of the escapees of the dark eco experiments, I'm really just writing him to be a 'what if' version of Jak that didnt have a Daxter to save him. kid is all anger issues and no emotional anchors.

I got really inspired by Puss in Boots TLW having a variety of villains, so screw it we got a whole cheese board of bad guys to try, don't be shy, we got our tragic dude who will hopefully see the light, a complete obsessive psycho who think he's doing the right thing, and true evil straight from the dark depths.

That last one I wont make posts about now, id rather keep that in the dark. That's meant to be the end game boss that everything leads up to, and its gonna be big. I wont confirm if anyone gets it in comments, but it'll be funny no matter what you guess.
