As you know, the war began on October 7 and lasted ten months. During this period, we were unable to obtain food, drink, or treatment because we did not have money.

There is no source of income for the family at the present time, so we are unable to buy food, clean water, and medicine, especially after we are afflicted with the ongoing infectious diseases spread in the north like Hepatitis C disease.

Our house has been damaged a lot since the beginning of the war. We are from the north of Gaza and we are still in the north and have not displaced to the south. We displaced 10 times from place to another seeking to safety .

i promise you that nobody has ever in their life thought "wow, this other person inserted absolutely zero friction into my life. they were so efficient and worked so hard to get out of my way. i love them for that." not EVER. not ever ever. if you sublimated your own personhood that hard they didn't even think of you at all. the people we remember in life are the people who got in our way a little, and broke up our routine, who asserted their perspective and gave us something new to think about or feel. that's how we form real relationships -- by inconveniencing one another and actually having a marked influence on one another's lives. to be loved is to be annoyed. and to be annoying at someone. and to be thankful, at the end of it all, that somebody broke you out of yourself for a moment and got in your way.

it's great to be considerate and obviously not every interaction is gonna be special, but you can't go through life as if every person is a cashier that you don't want to get mad at you for asking for an extra bag.

i’m actually scared that food safety is going to get so much worse. of course i expected that it would stay bad - since it’s been basically unchanged for the last four years. but now, we gotta worry that it’s going to get more privatized and lax all over again. people shouldn’t have to live in fear that their food could make them sick or kill them. people shouldn’t lose access to their main sources of food because of an illness outbreak.

Misogyny survives because people make up new concepts about femininity and masculinity and using new age pop psychology as a way to ‘prove its accuracy’. Imma say this louder for the ones who keep talking bs.

Being assertive, independent, hardworking, goal-oriented and a go getter as a woman doesn’t mean you’re “in your masculine energy”. It simply means you’re a human who’s lived a life where those qualities developed. And actively looking for a man who will “put you in your feminine energy” is just another way of upholding these harmful ideas alive. Don’t partake in it.

there are feminists who think it's a worthwhile endeavour to keep begging and bargaining with men to do better and props to them for having the patience for that but i will not be doing it because i have my own problems and i don't need to add to them, same reason i don't care for reforming other reactionaries. i befriended a man recently who is refreshingly well-adjusted and he talked about how he had taken the initiative to tackle his own toxicity and i thought, how novel! other men should take example from him! if he can do it there is no reason other men can't.
