Hello everyone!! I’m so sorry I’ve fallen extremely behind on the readathon. My schedule has completely changed and I’m struggling to adjust to it. I’m hopeful that once I do I’ll be able to fit the readathon back into my routine, but it will definitely take me a while to get caught up. Lots happening in my life right now!

Rosewood Readathon Day 26!!

Chapter 24

- Lottie is finally feeling good and Jamie just had to rain all over her parade??? He’s being so rude for no reason in this scene like I get he has issues but don’t take them out on Lottie

- Insane how oblivious Raphael is at all moments in time. Love him to death

- The book thing gives me so much secondhand embarrassment

Chapter 25

- If they go into Liliana’s study so often how do they not get caught when the bird statue very obviously opens up into a giant door like what??

- Why is the school not doing anything about these incidents? Obviously they don’t know it’s the chocolate or that it’s the Hamelin formula but they know there’s some sort of epidemic, why on earth is school operating like normal?

- Imagine if it wasn’t Lola crying and they were just following someone random who was upset

- I would like to also sit in the Rose Wood sobbing my eyes out eating biscuits (I think biscuits mean cookies or something in the UK, I want AMERICAN biscuits thank you.)

Chapter 26

- Oh wow the birth of Jamie x Bucky. This is historical

- He’s getting distracted by Lottie because he knows deep down he cares about her more than Ellie

- Raphael and Micky friendship is so sweet I need to see them more

- Does it make anyone else sad that the first thing asked to Micky by both Raphael and Jamie was “Where’s Lola?”? Like, they really don’t have an identity away from each other do they?

- I love Lottie + Ellie + Binah + Lola as a group

- I think asking Lola about the poison theory while she’s sobbing on the floor of the woods was not the best move though tbh

- It kills me that Lottie can’t tell Lola how much she can relate to her

Chapter 21

- Binah was so wrong for the pumpkin costume omg

- When does Binah have the time to make Halloween costumes not just for herself but for Lottie and Ellie??

Chapter 22

- You wouldn’t think that Binah is the type to believe in ghosts but also it makes perfect sense for her to be leading a seance at the same time

- Also shouldn’t they be, I don’t know, focusing on making sure no one gets poisoned at the party instead of summoning ghosts

- They had it set to M for Mini Mayfutt, when it should have been set to W for Wumbo William

Chapter 23

- I want to go to a mysterious boarding school and solve a ghost story mystery with my friends on halloween night in costumes and go through secret tunnels and find secret rooms. Is that SO MUCH TO ASK

- I can’t help but wonder if Lottie’s mom knew about the family connection to Rosewood with their ancestors, she must have right? Why else would she want Lottie to go there so bad?

- Ellie and Lottie meeting was literally FATE I’m dead

Heyyy so I took some days off because my life is very busy but here I am lol! I didn’t have a lot to say today, but that is mostly because I got really engrossed in these three chapters. I really love this part of the book where Lottie discovers everything about her family history :) day 26 coming next!

Rosewood Readathon Day 24!!

Chapter 18

- Lottie is always having nightmares about whatever is happening in her life I swear

- “Neither of my parents came from any form of nobility” is a crazy way to start your family tree but I guess it is royal history so good job Binah

- I’m always so sad for Lottie when reading this scene, giving her “family history” while saying her real family history in her head at the same time

- Binah probably felt like god when Lottie said “we need your help”

Chapter 19

- This has gotta be one of my favorite chapters

- Is this a real science experiment or is Connie making things up haha

- Binah Fae, the icon that you are. Sneaking in to see what happened to Jamie on the nurse’s file. And being super genius enough to recognize that that’s exactly what’s happening now with the other students. She could save the world I think. SHE could have ended COVID-19 before it even started

- And she’s so unbothered when asking about Saskia and Leviathan, like it’s just another normal question. Binah just blew Lottie and Ellie’s minds and yet she remains unfazed. Best character in all of fiction ever

Chapter 20

- Raphael doesn’t even know what “to thine own self be true” means????? Do you know a single thing about Shakespeare

- Jamie cares so much about Percy I could cry

- Poor Raphael though being made to leave and not knowing why lmao

- I don’t know why but I just love this scene where Jamie has learned that Binah knows literally everything. It’s so funny to me. He’s so serious about it and Binah is sooo unbothered

- THE TRIO JUST HAD A WHOLE ARGUMENT, IT GOES SILENT AND BINAH JUST RANDOMLY SPITS SOME WISDOM. ALL HAIL. BE MY THERAPIST.

- Okay yeah this chapter is another favorite of mine for SURE. The group dynamics happening here are on point

- Why is Jamie so mad about not knowing there are tunnels? Honestly the tunnels are the least of your worries right now

And next up is the Halloween party, dang this book is just banger moment after banger moment

Rosewood Readathon Day 23!!

Chapter 15

- The DND group are so iconic I was SURE they were gonna come back later in the series

- I love them being the seven dwarves. Based on their descriptions I’ve decided Stevie is Doc, Jun is Dopey, Mia is Sneezy, Sunny is Sleepy, Horace is Bashful, Leonard is Happy, and Eddie is Grumpy

-Lottie’s “study” is so clearly not a study I’m dead

- For a series that is not supposed to be set in a fantasy world, I always thought it was interesting that ghosts are canon

- I want to make an Elwin wish too tbh

Chapter 16

- Ellie having made friends separate from the group on the fencing team is something we never talk about but also good for her for branching out without Jamie and Lottie, most of her life revolves around those two so it’s good she has a space away from them

- Ellnastacia your potential does not go overlooked …..

- Fencing is clearly the gayest sport ever

- Ellie pushing Ani about Saskia is annoying, let her process it for a minute before constantly pressuring her to go talk to her

Chapter 17

- There are so many poems these characters have to read

- When is Lottie gonna figure out that not telling Jamie things is never a good idea

- AU where Ellie actually ate that chocolate and got poisoned … would be interesting to see Jamie freak out about that lol
