update on me re-discovering asexuality:

i just found The Asexuality Identification Scale. i scored a 50.

and apparently... "scores of 40/60 on the AIS-12 were found to capture 93% of individuals who self-identified as asexual. In other words, 93% of asexual participants scored at or above 40. Conversely, 95% of participants who self-identified as sexual scored below 40."

"I hate men" type posting in 2025 is at best cringe (frustration is understandable, but don't try to pretend that it is praxis), always unhelpful, and actively sinister when specifically pointed at trans men.

Begging my fellow trans women to stop being fucking children about this, and recognize that it's not helping trans rights to 1. foster instinctive disgust at masculinity (guess what most of my experiences of transmisogyny have been rooted in!) and 2. inappropriately weaponize complains about institutional discrimination to target another oppressed minority who constitute a full half of the trans rights struggle.

Yeah trans men can be (trans)misogynistic but loudly posting "trans men are scum" or whatever is not only just fucking gross given the current context of trans acceptance but actively hurts everyone involved. This is incredibly obvious to anyone with a brain imo but people just want to be fucking mean.
