headcanon —— children.

Vampire/human pregnancy progresses fairly typical to a human one, it differs by a few additional months but is still much shorter compared to a full vampire pregnancy. Because of the shortened time frame it is a very taxing ordeal on the mother. During both pregnancies yori was on constant rest and medical observation even post-birth.

Yori had 2 children, her oldest being conceived a year into her marriage followed by her 2nd child 3 years after. Even with all the resources available to her during her pregnancies, both still took a big toll on her. Yori’s 2nd pregnancy being even harder on her body taking her twice as long to recover, leaving her with some lingering effects.

1st child. Seiya Aido / 星矢 ( sincere one ), is the oldest son. - strongly resembles his father

2nd child. Kouki Aido / 光希 ( happiness / hope ) being the youngest son. - takes after his mother colouring (both his hair are eyes are darker shades, as a baby they were lighter but got darker the older he got) and her smaller build.

Both of Yori’s kids take on strong vampire traits, their aging progresses similar to typical vampire aging milestones. It’s assumed from previous cases that her human trait will effect their life span but with generally longer life spans anyways it’s unclear how much of a difference it will trying make. As children their need for life energy (vampire children are born without fangs and absorb life energy as a form of nutrition) was on the higher side compared to typical vampire children while later in life their need for blood is on the lower side, able to take a lot of their nutrition needs through food and usual human vitamins.

The library was peaceful, the warm light flooding in and bring a calming atmosphere. Sayori looked over from the book she was flipping through at the soft questioning. she doesn’t mind sharing. She had couple of books she’d read that she’d enjoyed, trying to debate any that she’d think he’d like. “ fairy tales? I haven’t read any for a while.” gently closing the book to think, her attention now fulling on the conversation and mental gathering of her book list. She understood what he meant, it was very amusing to see how people’s tastes in books varied and the hidden gems you may never have known about could be one recommendation away.

“ one I really like … ” she debates the question for a few seconds. “ maybe snow white and red rose.” she offers up it was one of the few that she coherently remembered the plot and had liked reading. “ you’ve probably read that one already though…”

She knew it was foolish, a risk to herself to even take one step forward towards the level E’s that had managed to get on campus. Leaving them and letting some poor unsuspecting person to meet a doom fate wasn’t something she’d turn away from so easily. “ something needs to be done though— ” Sayori doesn’t even get a foot away from Ruka as the level Es’ turn on each other. She’s stunned at the turn of events. “ Did you— how? They just turned on each other? ”
