I forgot to upload this improved version of the cat girl video. I'm very proud of it. It was strange to see the my character kinda "come to life". It gives a completely other feeling, and it was kinda eerie actually! I hope I make more of these in the future.

I wanted to add moving clouds in the background but found it too be too much work, another time!

He is supposed to be in the dark, but it sure makes it a dull illustration. On second though im not sure if that is neccesarily the root of the problem. Maybe ill do something about it later.

I started this a long time before the 11th. Making clay faces gave me a good insight to what part of the face I have a poor 3D understanding of. I was surprised to find out I don't know how lips look like. I have gotten better tho, as you can tell by the last picture that shows my progress chronologically (The last face is a WIP).

I originally regretted buying clay cause i thought i didn't like it, but i decided i had to use it all up because i didn't have the conscience to trow it away but now that i am getting results I'm starting to enjoy it.

Been a while. I have been drawing very casually but it was nice to do a finished piece. I feel hair is definitely something i should practice if i want to see fast improvements, but i don't like to draw hair so well see if that ever happens.

Struggled with this one... The circles are supposed to have the line go through the center, but i was not able to have to two swooping lines be at the same distance from the line and it messed up everything.

I should probably do it again but I won't hehe

Not happy with this one. It looks plain and off, a bad combo. I think i need a clearer image in my head and better references to be able to get good outcomes.

I struggled a lot with the perspective of the character, i think when i get to the box part of drawabox it would help alot.

Sketch progression. When i clean or render a sketch i usually end up with something with a completely different vibe. The two first sketches is completely off. The last one is off too, but i think i might just live with it. But i really can't unsee the tiny neck...

WIP. Planning on finishing it with colors tomorrow. Figuring the face out took most of the time, which i did not expect. Will change the hand tomorrow, cause that be a disaster now.

Drawing the background was easier for me than i expected. I think this is one of my first drawings in years with a character in a setting.

This one is another case of good up close, terrible from afar.

I have learnt that putting down a backround first is very helpful for me when coloring the person.

I really want to recolor this tomorrow but i'll be bussy :( There is so much i see that can be improved.

Quick sketches from references. I think this is the first time i found the drawings to look better on my phone than irl.

I found out that i have a tendency to make the hair too small today. It was surprisingly fun to draw from references, i usually only draw from imagination.

Draw a Box

06/05/23. First day of Drawabox. I got exhausted after two pages of practice sooo i think it will be a while before i finish the course, but I'm excited to see how this will impact my drawings.

It was encouraging to see how fast i improved! I have some wobble, so i think i have to draw faster next time.
