Have you ever liked someone so much that it physically hurts you to think about them and the fact that you’ll never be with them?

It hurts when you have someone in your heart but you can't have them in your arms.

It is always worse when someone points it out, how alone you are. As if you can not see the empty chairs around you, feel the still air and know that no one is speaking to you. It is so awful because what was blurred in the periphery is now staring you in the face and you can’t ignore the ache. All you know is lonely and now, they know it too. And that makes it much too real.
