I love how Blitz can either be drawn as

The more I fear for Ghostfuckers, the more I realize...
That a love triangle would probably actually destroy Blitz, and make him retreat further from the notion of pursuing romance, especially with Stolas. The man is not strong enough for this sorta love triangle shit...
I have made several exhaustive posts about why I'm against the notion of a love triangle being introduced to the Stolitz dynamic, so much so that I'm literally being known as "that anti-love triangle person" here on tumblr. But, oh well, I guess it's what I've signed up for.
But where was I going with this... OH YEAH!
If a good portion of Ghostfuckers is going to be focused on how poorly Blitz is coping after the events of Apology Tour, and the fact that Brandon had to STRESS that Blitz is not in the right headspace in that episode!
How the fuck do some people think that a love triangle would work?
And this isn't talking about Stolas here, and how I think him falling for another guy to the same degree he has with Blitz would actually ruin his character development...
This is exclusively talking about this man's mental state.
Guys... Blitz is not that strong!
He's resilient in the face of adversity and I have no doubt in this man's capabilities to bury his trauma so far deep his own ass.
But like...
Blitz is emotionally-inept beyond belief and his default characteristic is asshole that will die for his friends.
This man, right here just had an epiphany that he was down bad in the worse fucking time. Like goddamn, how shit can this guy's luck be.
And then to top it off all it took was a drunk Makeout session and some dancing for Blitz to make the most heartbroken face he has ever made in the series to date.
Guys... Blitz can't be the only one fighting.
Like, he'll act jealous, but he's gonna give up.

So I haven't logged into reddit in a while...
Glad to see I wasn't missing much...
Why does Moxxie honestly care about Blitz?
Well, I like to think part of the reason why Moxxie cares about Blitz has to do with the fact that Blitz is technically the reason why he was able to escape the mafia, and is able to live the life he lives now.
You know... no big deal or anything.
... Blitz really is a toxic person and I don't get the absolute love he gets for it.
I think there are many reasons why people enjoy Blitz's character: funny, charming, rizz master, and loyal to those he cares about. I think Blitz has many great qualities.
People don't like Blitz because he's a toxic person that hurts the people around him. People that enjoy his character know and are aware he hurts those around him, but they're able to like him, despite his mistakes, because they're able to understand that Blitz is a broken person that wants to get better but doesn't know how.
I think most people that love Blitz want him to get better. They want to see him improve, be happy, be healthy, and be able to accept and give love freely.
Also, like... I think if you refuse to look at the main character of an adult animated series in a critical way, and just look at him in face value... Maybe, you shouldn't watch the series?
You know... just a thought... it must be torturous to watch the series, since he shows up in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE in some way shape or form. And even if he doesn't show up in an episode or short, he's always at least mentioned in some way.
It's almost like the world of Helluva Boss revolves around the boss... who knew?

Something about the concept design for Blitzø’s dad...
Happened to see some concept art about Blitzø’s dad and these words are so really telling...
"You wouldn't want me to kill myself right, Dissapoint-O?"
"THAT’S NOT FUCKING SANTA!" *backhands Baby Blitzo* "STUPID FUCKING DISSAPOINT-O!"
I know this is just concept art, but like was that the nickname Cash gave to Blitz as a child?
Dissapoint-O...
Like, Cash cared so little for his kid that he not only would sell him for $5 and a condom, but he would also call him that insulting kinda nickname.
Is that why Blitz says the 'o' is silent?
Is that why Blitz doesn't like being called Blitzy by Stolas? Because the last time someone gave him a nickname was his dad? And it was literally that? Is there a possibility Blitz can't fathom anyone calling him an affectionate nickname because his self-hatred is that strong?
I don't know just a sad thought I had...

I'm in love
Come back to me badass Blitz that made half the fanbase find you severely attractive with just one scene...
Now who wants some quality time with daddy?
Daddy's fancy footwork. Hnnngh... 😩
Then again, there's something extremely alluring about chaotic gremlin Blitz...
Something extremely cute about the way he's running from danger, but he makes sure to retrieve both his gun, and give his little goat friend a pat on the head.
I wanna be that goat so bad- WAIT WHO SAID THAT!
That hop step and LEAP away from danger... and then the lizard climb
How dare this motherfucker go through the worse Breakup of his life and get his ass handed to him in the worse of ways in Apology Tour, only to still have enough resilience left over to give a smile that can melt anyone's heart...
Say what you want about this asshole motherfucker, lizard thing, but there's something really impressive about how he's able to bounce back.

I'm so feral over him
Ghostfuckers Massive Lore Dump & More...
I'm stuck at work doing the graveyard shift, so I decided to make a list of all the lore that we learned in Ghostfuckers. Plus some extra cuz my fave character is Blitz, and I love him...
It has been one month since the events of Apology Tour. Blitz and Stolas have been NO CONTACT for one whole month.
I.M.P is on the verge of bankruptcy due to Blitzø’s poor spending habits. Past Due Notices are pasted on the whiteboard. Millie confirms later on that Blitzø has not paid her in a month.
(Honestly same, I also cope by buying stupid shit, but sweetie you gotta pay your employees)
Confirmation that Blitzø (at least by the beginning of Ghostfuckers) has given up on pursuing a relationship with Stolas.
Millie confirmed that there is only Heaven or Hell, there is no such thing as Purgatory. And there is no such thing as Ghosts.
The fact that Millie had to stress it out several times, even to Blitz that ghosts don't exist... is insane.
Confirmation that Blitzø is still following M&M on their dates, and that once again... Blitz sees love and relationships as a transaction.
Blitzø’s illiteracy and possibly having dyslexia is the gift that keeps on giving.
(Fun fact: Brandon Rogers is confirmed dyslexic)
Confirmation that Blitzø has genuine fears of M&M getting hurt when they do go on missions.
Blitzø’s mom is confirmed to have died from the fire, just in case it wasn't obvious already.
Confirmation that Moxxie met Blitz before he met Millie, and by extension, Blitzø adopted Loona before he met Moxxie.
Further confirmation that Blitzø owning his own business as an imp makes him an outlier.
The fact that Blitzø has to stress to Millie that he does in fact own his own business, but she keeps denying the possibility that, that even exists is insane.
Confirmation that I.M.P began the moment Blitzø was in possession of the grimoire. Therefore, Blitzø had Millie, Moxxie, and Loona to provide for by the time he met Stolas
So much of Hell's Hierarchy and the suppression of imps in general, is ingrained into Millie that she genuinely believes that she isn't deserving to work in an old ass building located in the Pride Ring (where the sinners live)
Confirmation that imps (and by extension hellhounds) are expected to work for someone higher up, whether it be the Sins, the Ars Goetia, or even other sinners and hellborn
Confirmation once again that Blitzø is genuinely considered an outlier among imps. Him owning a business gives him a sense of prestige among others of his own kind.
Confirmation that Millie's entire life is all thanks to Blitz: a husband, a career, a future, a best friend. ❤️
Further confirmation of the existance of Blitzø’s mask. (People were genuinely surprised when they realized that there was more to Blitzø than asshole)
Confirmation of the existance of infestor demons that are presumably from the Envy Ring.
Confirmation that Cash Fuckzo was an abusive piece of shit that not only manipulated his own child, but physically abused him when he had fresh burn marks on his wrist
Confirmation that Cash Fuckzo was the man that kept Blitzø and Fizz apart for so long, essentially the reason why these men hated each other for 15 years.
Confirmation that even seeing M&M happy and in love genuinely hurts him because (in his mind) he could never have what they have.
Confirmation that the events of Seeing Stars hurt Blitzø’s feelings and reignites that fear his daughter hates him.
The amount of remorse, guilt, and regret this man feels is so palpable that it can power an entire fucking city.
By the end of the episode Blitzø makes a promise to Millie to stop trying to become their "third". Millie is shocked by his answer and genuinely did not expect it.
Blitzø confirms to Millie that he does indeed have feelings for Stolas, but he's aware enough to know that he still fucked things up with him.
The character development that Blitzø showed this episode was actually insane, and I am so proud of him. He has a long way to go before he could forgive himself for the fire and hate himself less, but nonetheless I am so proud of him.
Also, in case you were wondering my favorite part of the episode was Millie's apology to Blitzø.

What Blitz regrets
Interestingly most of Blitz's memories are more accurate with people's expressions than Stolas' in all 2 u.
Here's how he remembers the fire.
He see the imp lady and Cash bookit passed him. Then the pink horse cuts across him.
Then him seeing Fizz and trying to direct help to him.
Next is him trying to get to his Muma
Then we get the aftermath of the fire. (Screaming face made of flame).
Cash grabbing Blitz by his freshly buried wrist to hold him in place to hit him. Immediately blaming him for an accident. His mom just died and his dad did this.
Then blocking access to Fizz, shoving Blitz away. Before lying that he never visited, and that Blitz deliberately set the fire, isolating and scapegoating Blitz.
Moving on to Ozzie's which is large part of his film of his regrets and envys.
Fizz hating him on sight.
And Verosika too.
oh but he missed Stolas getting up to try to defend him from her.
Blitz also focuses on his putting his hand away from Stolas trying to comfort him
Though you can see Stolas miss reads his expression right before. When Ozzie showed his daughter hating him, and had people side with his abuser because she was 'cheated on'.
Stolas being sad when the only thing they have is Stolas wanting to fuck him.
They are both forced on this bit. That they don't have a relationship where they talk and cuddle, because it wasn't a real date. He made sure of that.
(never say never Mr too much Imp to simp)
Stolas giving him the crystal and asking him to stay. Definitely shows the crystal is huge sore point for him.
Stolas was more focused on how surprised Blitz was.
Stolas walking away from him as Blitz yells that he'll apologise to everyone else. But never him. If he hadn't said the previous 'fuck you' making Stolas think he gave him a fake reason for blowing up at him, Stolas would have understood.
Stolas singing the line "I don't think you ment to hurt me, because I don't think it meant a thing at all to you"
Oof that must have hurt.
"This whole thing we had going... I'm- I mean you're a fucking prince. How could you ever actually care for an imp... Me? How could anybody". Oh he regrets not believing Stolas cared for him.
And regrets missing his chance to comfort Stolas. (Blitz failed a QTE).
But ok big big difference here! Blitz has definitely misunderstood. Stolas' isn't crying.
He's edited out what a mess Stolas was here. Like he's forgotten how drunk he was..
And Stolas kissing the twunk is a perfect match... Oh that got seared into his brain didn't it.
Pure envy
Blitz so badly want that kind of romantic relationship
Barbie telling him he's ruined her life, and she never wants to see him again. (Just going to sob in a corner here).
And Loona. Both times are fights about being really family.
Loona: Oh, what does it matter?! You're not my real dad! I was almost eighteen!
Blitzo: It still counts!
Loona: Well, it shouldn't! I didn't need you then, asshole! I don't, now
Blitz needs to be needed by the people he loves. Otherwise he thinks they're leave him
Blitzo: Oh, Loona, my sweet baby girl! I'm so sorry, I'll never replace you no matter what you--
Looks like he still worried that she hasn't really forgiven him for saying he's replace her.
Blitz isn't just talking about Stolas here. He thinks if he's bankrupted IMP Milli, Moxxie and Loona will all leave him too. Spirals to rock bottom in this one.
So glad Millie could help pull him out.

Avoidance vs. Vulnerability
I love how so much of Blitzø’s character development is rooted in his body language.
Lets examine:
"IT WAS NOT A BREAKUP! You need a relationship for one of those and we never had that... and we never will."
Blitz, after yelling at Millie's face clarifying to her that it wasn't a Breakup, only to immediately turn his head the other direction because he doesn't want to see her face.
This is Blitz being avoidant and trying his damndest to keep up that facade he always puts on.
Despite the fact, that his voice breaks when he says the words "... and we never will," Blitz is making sure Millie does not see his face. Showing to us the audience that Blitz still has his walls up around Millie.
Millie makes a joke to Blitz about "trying to not be our third anymore," fully expecting Blitz to make his usual spastic joke, deflecting the situation as he always does...
But the thing is, Blitz doesn't make a joke to avoid the question, he simply states very seriously, "No, not anymore."
Millie is confused and shocked, almost with a sad expression on her face. Millie has never seen Blitz act so seriously before and it shows.
However, with the complete obliteration of his walls caused by the trauma he suffered by Rolando, Blitz now feels comfortable enough to let Millie see the real him.
Millie states the elephant in the room, "The bird got you that bad, huh?"
Or in other words...
Wow, you really have feelings for this guy...
And Blitz simply states the words, "I guess." Showing to us, in the most simple, bare bones way that yeah, he does have feelings for him.
I love how Blitz looks straight at the camera when asked this question, he doesn't make an effort to look at Millie and he still averts his eyes the other direction showing to us how uncomfortable he is with being vulnerable.
But the biggest thing Blitz does in his body language is the fact that he doesn't try to purposely hide his face away from Millie, he just dejectingly looks off into the distance, because even though he's accepted and acknowledged his feelings for Stolas, he's still aware of the fucks up he made in Apology Tour.
Millie makes one last good-natured joke towards Blitz to lighten the mood, and Blitz simply averts his gaze Millie's direction with a grateful smile, almost giving her thanks for not dwelling on the conversation for too long.
(Stolas I get it, I am also down bad for this man. JFC if you don't want him, can I please have him?)
Blitz with relaxed eyes, simply plays into her joke, "Well you know, your husband is still a little fuckable."
I love how Blitz doesn't fully play into Millie's joke, he makes sure to add that little there to NOT downplay his feelings for Stolas.
Ghostfuckers is my new favorite episode of Helluva Boss, and one of the reasons why has to be the amazing character development Blitz and Millie went through this season.

hey so ive been thinking about something
in this hallucination or whatever it was..
the fire started from blitz’s hand.
a physical representation of how he feels it’s his fault. that he caused the fire..when in reality, it was an accident.
all the people he’s hurt - fizzaroli, i’m sure - have convinced him that the fire practically came from his hands.
so when millie finds him and tries to see what’s wrong, touching him in the process..
so he panics and pushes her away, afraid that he might hurt her, too.

The fact that brandon wrote this episode shows just how connected and fully ingrained he is into Blitz as a character. He knows him inside and out and his relationships and how they affect him. I love it and I trust every single episode written by him that's primarily about Blitz to be a true banger every single time.

notice how..throughout all his flashbacks, he was sitting there, watching uncomfortably
until the one of his dad hitting him.
the panic on his face is physically hurting my heart.
right now, we aren’t seeing the “Blitzø” we know. - the one that’s ‘bulletproof’ to millie.
we’re seeing a scared child.
the one who couldn’t run when he was actually hit.
the one who was so terrified that it feels like the moment is happening all over again.
and you can read that every emotion in his expression.
