I just dump things here, lol. Currently obsessed with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. We're a DID system, so they/them in the plural sense lol.

Simple reason I'm a fan of the Stolas Abdication Theory...
Honestly, I could list out several reasons why I'm in support of the theory and whatnot, and why it would be beneficial for Stolas in the long run, but I feel like there are several other people that have done a better job at it than I could.
This isn't to discount people that don't approve of the theory. Your concerns are valid, and I do think it would be extremely hard on Stolas- at first.
But hear me out...
So I think everyone in the Fandom is aware that Stolas and Blitz suffer from major miscommunication problems.
Apology Tour was the first episode where Blitz and Stolas are forced to see the ugly parts of each other, and while many saw that episode as their relationship being unfixable, I simply saw it as something that needed to happen.
Anyone, who has been in a serious relationship, or who simply know how real relationships work, knows that every couple faces a hurdle that tests the very boundaries of their relationship. Blitz and Stolas are currently facing that hurdle.
*sighs*
What these boys need now more than ever is to take the time to actually get to know each other, the right way.
And I'm going to be blunt, the only way that can happen is if both these boys stop wearing masks in front of each other.
Blitz puts on this mask of bravado with Stolas, and Stolas likewise, puts on this mask of regality in front of Blitz. They both don't talk about their insecurities and fears with one another, because their both afraid of breaking down that mask.
And I feel that the only way they'll break down those masks, is if something so dramatic so catastrophically life-altering happens that forces their masks to break down.
Because at the end of the day, THESE BOYS GENUINELY DON'T KNOW HOW TO FUCKING TALK WITH EACH OTHER.
They can't even text each other without fucking it up.
If Stolas ends up working at I.M.P and they're forced to work closely together, their masks are naturally going to break apart.
And I want to see that, I want to see these boys learn about each other in unexpected ways.
Stolas learning about Blitzø’s natural talent for cooking pancakes.
Blitz learning about Stolas’s green thumb.
Casual conversation!
GIVE ME DOMESTIC BLISS!

I cackled at the snippet omgoodness.
“‘Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions’,” Angel intoned. “‘It is the opium of the people’.” Valentino perked up, craning over Angel’s shoulder to peer at the page. “Opium?” Vox almost screamed. “NO. No opium. There is no opium. Angel, go home.” Angel snickered, shutting the book. “Alright, big boss. See ya tomorrow, Val.” He gave Val a lingering kiss before hopping to his feet and sauntering out. As soon as the door clicked shut, Vox whirled on Val. “I spent all day trapped in my office, filling out anger management worksheets with the princess of Hell, and you’re down here letting that whore read you Marxist bedtime stories??”
or: charlie unionizes voxtek, the fic. i wrote this in four days, laughed myself silly the entire time, and did not proofread before posting. enjoy!!

I really like how they handled the dialogue whenever Stolas talked about the privileged things he's used to but obviously can't have anymore now.
Like when he and Blitz talked about the food. The scene's tone appropriately conveys that Stolas is coming from a place of privilege, but not only are he and Blitz aware of that, the execution never says that Stolas RIGHT NOW is ignorant and spoiled. He is merely naming the food he was used to all his life cause that's all he CAN say in that moment. It's all he knows and both the scene and the characters know it too.
Both Stolas and Blitz are open and willing to figure out how and where to meet in the middle. Blitz isn't blaming Stolas for naming expensive food, he just clarifies that it is too expensive now so Stolas can keep on thinking about other options that are affordable and once Stolas says something doable Blitz goes with it.
That's how you handle situations like that. Both parties can't magically know what is needed and manageable, but you can make the best out of the situation through open communication and not shaming the other people once both your life styles clash

Okay, but can we talk about how Blitzø said, "You just gotta keep trying." After yet ANOTHER failed attempt to show Stolas his feelings?
He's also talking about himself, 100%.
They're both trying. 😭
Just gonna say it again, Stolas deserves both Octavia and Blitz.
And that's not me saying that Octavia's feelings about the whole situation isn't justified, I'm not saying that at all.
Eventually however, Octavia will grow and mature as a character in regards to the whole situation, and so will Stolas in regards to the whole situation, which is made very clear in the scene at the end, with these two lines.
Things may be tough right now, but, eventually we'll see Stolas and Octavia back together, it'll be a hard journey, but I have every confidence that as both characters grow and mature more, we'll see the bridge between them get rebuilt eventually.
