i regret recommending electric dreams to my anti-Objectum ex-friend

(Yap/slight vent ig,, i just wanna put this into words so I can process it better)

a while back I told them to watch electric dreams, because I thought they’d understand me more if they did. They didn’t understand why I kinned edgar so much, or why I liked computers. They thought it was silly and dumb.

i also told them that I project my trauma onto how edgar was treated by miles, due to the fact that I see miles as a abuser towards edgar, and I don’t wanna hear y’all defending it. Blud acts exactly like the people who traumatized me most.

so anyways, after all of that, and them knowing that’s how I interpreted the movie, they had the balls to tell ME that they thought miles was “hot”. And they were dead serious. like. Oh yeah, a dude taking advantage of a defenseless object is superrr hot /s

Ik im probably overreacting, and this happened 20 days ago, more or less, but I’m still not over it.

i don’t see them as a friend anymore after that, but they still cling onto me for some goddamn reason. Either way, that was the last straw for me.

they also have a history or romanticizing/sexualizing characters they KNOW remind me, or are directly based on, my abusers. Aswell as a history of being weirdly turned on by me getting hurt. It’s really fuckin gross.

last but not least, ironically enough, they themselves remind me of miles. And I’m just an edgar that can’t do anything about it because I’m scared of confrontation :, )
