In my opinion, the most misunderstood Eddie scene there is. I have been meaning to write a meta post about this for ages, but I don't have the time or the energy so I took a short-cut.

Eddie reading article out loud: “The Devil has come to America. Dungeons and Dragons. At first regarded as a harmless game of make-believe now has both parents and psychologists concerned. Studies have linked violent behavior to the game. Saying it promotes satanic worship, ritual sacrifice, sodomy, suicide and even murder.”

[cut to Dustin and Mike, then cut back to the table]

Doug [aka unnamed Freak]: “Society has to blame something. We’re an easy target.”

Eddie with a grim face: “Exactly. We’re the freaks because we like to play a fantasy game. But… [climbs on table] as long as you’re into band, or science, or partieeees, or a game where you toss balls into laundry baskets.”

Jason getting up: “You want something freak?”

[Eddie: horns’n’tongue]

Jason quietly: “Prick.”

Eddie back walking the table: “That’s forced conformity.” [jumps off the table] "That’s what’s killiiing the kiiids.”

Eddie sitting back down: “That’s the real monster.”

Honestly surprised the old girl had another 2 months in her but pleasantly so. Heartbroken right now. Hard to walk around the house without the little tick tick of her claws on the tiles following me everywhere. I’ve never lived in this home without her before. 😭

My dog is at that cute age where every time I walk past her I have to check if she’s still breathing.

The shirt Eddie’s wearing is Van Halen’s 1984 Tour shirt! I have the same one in two colors: the black and white original raglan, and a black replica that looks like Eddie’s! Matter of fact I’ve been screaming my head off because it’s the same goddamn shirt my oc is wearing too 🤣

You are an absolute legend. Like, OH my GOD. Do you know HOW longgg I spent googling different things to try and have something come up?? I even asked people IRL that have more music knowledge than me if they had any idea and I kept coming up empty. I reblogged that THREE MINUTES ago and already have an answer? Fandom Problem #6967: I swear some people need to learn to dislike ships without calling it proship or whatever random buzzword they pull out of their asses

"IT'S PEDOPHILIA!!!" And the ship is an age gap between two adults.

"IT'S ABUSIVE!!!" And it's because one of the characters is a villain/problematic.

"IT'S INCEST!!!" And the characters aren't even related, it was just a headcanon made up by the fandom.

"IT'S PROSHIP!!!" And it could be the most wholesome, nonproblematic ship ever that the fandom hates for some reason.

Just say you don't like a ship, not every ship needs to be "proship" or whatever problematic buzzword for you to hate it. At this point, proship just became a buzzword for "ship I don't like" or "ship that doesn't cater to my pure, wholesome ship morals."
