A tip for autistics: neurotypicals just lie all the time. Vendors, store clerks, employers, coworkers, people just lie all the time and they expect you to lie as well if you wanna succeed at social moments. (Like I just had a vendor make up a satisfaction rating to get me to buy with them. Lying shamelessly right to my face). Say whatever benefits you the most in a situation regardless if it's true, just be sure people won't be able to catch you on that lie. Stop thinking you need to open yourself up and show your vulnerable spots because it's how you really feel, and instead do what protects you the most. (Obviously don't lie in a way that'll hurt other people for no reason) Take care

My favorite neurotypical loophole is when you run into an old acquaintance and they say “we should grab coffee sometime” and sometime means i never have to get coffee unless i propose a day and time
