I'd never hated a character so much until I met Time and Night. My God, no wonder the Endless behaved like this.

I realize where all their Mommy and Daddy Issues come from.

I'd read the comics before, but seeing it on screen has a different impact. The actors are so good that they made me despise Dream's parents even more.

What the Hell IS Daniel Hall?

There seem to be some people on Tumblr very confused about what Daniel Hall is.   I guess someone is going to have to try to explain him.  Please note: I do not have the annotated Sandman.   This is purely from my own observation while reading Sandman.

Okay, very simple answer.   Daniel is Dream of The Endless.   

He is not still “only twee-years-old.”  He is not Morpheus’ “son.”  He is not Morpheus’ heir. He IS Dream.  We are literally told this in every single comic he has appeared in.

Let me try to explain…

I just finished reading The Dreaming comics, from The Sandman universe, and my reaction was this:

I read them out of curiosity, and ended up confused and irritated by Daniel Hall's behavior.

I expected everything, except that.

I know it's a sensitive moment, but I couldn't help it, sorry. 😭

I will be able to love Dream a lot as a favourite character in the series and comics. And sometimes I can justify it because he needs to mature as a a sentient being and not as endless.

But I desperately need Nada to hit him with a chair or something.

I bring stuck anger.

I've reached the end of chapter 6.

Chapter one:

I love the beginning as the realm of Dreams begins to evolve. Morpheus at work is 🥵

I love to see Dream smile with gusto and grace, it's just lovely to see him laughing and in a good mood after all.

How I dislike Desire, sometimes wish is good But so bad at the wrong times and he talks a lot.

I love Delirium, she's like a playful little sister full of fantasy on the brain and her whole being HAHAHAJ.

I usually don't usually give my opinion on the couples of characters I like, But yeah, I was Jealous of Nada, But I admit Morpheus went overboard punishing her. 💀

Morpheus thought with a bruised ego and pride. Although I don't quite get the idea they were both aware of the consequences of their love, as soon as Nada's kingdom is destroyed, she punishes herself and Morpheus just complied with her request.

So ehh... Maybe they both lacked common sense or maybe the chapter in that part is too much restructured. I wasn't entirely convinced by that part of the episode. I guess I understand that the comic's author left out some parts.🫠

But I ended up confused and Morpheus is an idiot, I admit it.

Chapter Two:

What an impressive scene of Morpheus clipping Lucifer's wings and in some part Lucifer admitting he was wrong. But very justified in his decision.

I've never agreed more that yes, he was a jerk and he's proud. But he doesn't do anything, humans do atrocities in his name and hell is just a place where the soul rots for more, it's obvious he would end up sooner or later overwhelmed, more so with Nada's situation, which is something that yes, is food for thought.

I love how later on Lucifer can be seen as peaceful and calm.

I hated Azazel, my god and Cluracan. One is sassy and the other irritating and smug. HAHAHA

But Nuala is a fairy love. 💓😩

Chapter Three:

My God, the Japanese God is so cute, redeemed and respectful. He was definitely selfless, just looking for a home where he could belong.

Loki, ahh... 🤼‍♀️

Although I have to admit I loved Morpheus' concern for Nada, more inspiration for more fanfics...

But...

My god, Nada held back so much, even the slap he gave her wasn't enough. Dream still got offended. 🤡

(I would have hit him harder, I would have liked it).

Although I have to admit, my jealousy was huge and I was

-Bro, get over her, she's over you. Get over her already, for her sake and for yours 😩.

Dream only learned to possess and not to love.

Which makes me think that Morpheus is a misfit for human contact due to his lack of empathy.

Chapter Four:

Ishtar's dance is simply magical and novel. Magnificent, full of power and courage.

I would have liked to see about the relationship she had with Destruction.

Wanda was a sweetheart of a person 🥲

I would have liked her to sympathize more with Delirium.

Although this time Desire was so right to tell Dream the truths.

I feel that Desire has matured so much. There is a huge difference in her behaviour between the first season and the second. 😵‍💫

Chapter Five:

Dysfunctional and functional family at the same time, but it is obvious that Destruction was the heart of the Endless.

I love the character of Destruction. He's like the typical complacent and complicit paternal uncle. xD

I have to admit I felt bad for Orpheus, his love for Eurydice was too much, But greater was his desire to possess and belong.

To love is also to let go.

But he has a beautiful voice and personality.

I would have liked more involvement from Calliope.

I felt so much pain for both Orpheus and Morpheus. 🥲💔

They are such aching familiar souls.

Chapter Six:

I started shiping Orpheus and Lady Johanna Constantine 😩💓

There is so much chemistry between them.

Most of the Morpheus chapter is 🧍🏻‍♂️🧍🏻‍♂️🧍🏻‍♂️

I can't bear the death of Orpheus. 🥲

And I couldn't stand seeing Morpheus cry either, my heart hurts 💔 🥲

Practice: Dream

My heart aches, I'm not ready to see Morpheus' fate in The Sandman S2.

I just joined the fandom because I fell in love with the guy.

Maybe I'm being very naive about comics, but I'm simply unaware of the fact that the essentials will happen in the realm of dreams.

In the future I will create a fanfic where he is happy, I promise.

After the second season, I'll update (yes, after I've gotten over my painful, depressive grief over Dream's fate)
