I love love love when media starts out in a way where you know they're fucked from the get-go, you just gotta tune in to see how they get there

Suddenly realizing that being in the DSMP Fandom completely ruined my concept of fanart that is "worthy" of spending time on. In the DSMP it was constant obsessive creation of fan arts that were getting millions of views. It was a gold mine of constant interaction. Anything you made was ravenously consumed by the masses and spit back out and was old news within the hour. You could not keep up if you wanted to. Finished animatics were posted the same day streams were held. Fan art was posted mid lore. If it took you a day you were already late. If it wasn't instant or stunning it wasn't worth making. There were a hundred thousand fans working faster and making better work than you.

That's not true for the rest of the Fandom world. There are tiny Fandoms that have loved the same tiny, static, unchanging piece of fiction for decades and still hold the same love, where every new piece of fan art is an absolute gift because there is so little. Where people still caring about that fandom let alone creating art for it is rare. I'm not even talking super underground shows no one knows, but the old fandoms that aren't getting millions of fan art anymore. Fruits basket (before the remake!) Noragami. Nabari no Ou. Terror in resonance. I want to make art for those fan bases again. I want someone to be thrilled because someone is making art of their favorite character and selling pins of it and they have never found art for them before. I don't want to appeal to the masses. I want to change someone's day because I have their niche. That's all.

So what's your niche character you've never found art of? Maybe they'll be next on my list.

The thing that bugs me with like giving dca full coverage clothing designs is like. They're shirtless probably because of their light sensors. I'd assume they're spread over the body, so they can "feel" the percentage of light/darkness, to properly plan out their plays in theatre. That's why they're shirtless.

This opens up so many silly interactions tho. Like, what do you mean you can just throw a blanket over Sun to shut him up and then to just hear Moon giggle from under the blanket. What do you mean your animatronic can actually probably sneak out into the real world clothed in a baggy hoodie and no one really will notice. What do you mean Moon wearing a normal t-shirt would be like jail for Sun, too many light sensors on their torso are in the dark. Free the nipple!! LET HIM OUT. Can you imagine being topless because you NEED your tits to be out or YOU will be out. Anyway
