I don't talk about Arcane on here, but my hope is that Sevika doesn't get killed. Like my fingers are crossed because there's an interesting arc to her about leadership and I want to see it through to the end.
That look Ambessa gave her though does not bode well.

update: I drafted 5 pages. Heads up for next month.
I have a job that kicks my ass, but if I didn’t I would absolutely make a long form fancomic about Melinoe and Nemesis’ relationship before she was assigned the task.
There would be a whole section dedicated to Nem’s assignments on the surface, her and Artemis (and Callisto), and her own relationship to her work.
Melinoe would be studious and a bit naive. It’s be a little toxic though because there’s a theme with vulnerability and duty through out.

I have more: there’s a conversation that Athena has with Melinoe about the earth shaking and all I can think about is who or what that could be. Is it Gaia? Atlas? Some sort of monster? Who knows?
Early Hades 2 Olympic update thoughts:
There is a theme starting to brew about vengeance, allegiance and breaking rules. I noticed this when it comes to Prometheus and how he’s like a foil to Mel in a way.
Stick with me here. Both of them wear eternal damage on their bodies from violating divine law regarding mortals (Mel’s arm and the scar on Prometheus’ chest from his liver being eaten by the eagle), both of them are associated with the fates (Prometheus being the titan of foresight, and Mel being an unofficial emissary of the Three Fates), and they have animal friends that started out as being intrusions on their lives (Frinos and Aetos) to name a few.
In terms of ideology, Prometheus seems like (bc this is still Early Access), what happens when you lean on too much on your understanding, and Melinoe is what happens when you lean too much on other people and their opinions. The narrative argues that both are destructive.
I’m curious where the team is going with this narrative, though.

it is kind of a hysterical move for supergiant games to take Divine Dash, the boon that was pretty much universally used as training wheels for people to learn to play hades 1, and put it back in hades 2 BUT to even get it the first time you need to make it all the way to the game's most difficult region and then if you want to be able to get it consistently in any subsequent runs after you have to be playing without death defiance

Even her mom-but-not-her mom Hecate had to be like "Aye, I'm a Titan too, let's not be racist, Mel." in one of their conversations.
Like Mel is so fucking uptight and rigid, it's great.
Melinoe being a bigot and pretty much confirming to being a control freak is one of my favorite additions to this update thank you SGG for making her awful (said with genuine affection).
#shoutout to sgg for making Melinoe an uptight asshole#Melinoe#hades 2#hades II spoilers#complex women for the win

One of the many reasons I love this game is because it’s so committed to its specific brand of bullshit.
Some nerd: "Fictionalizations of Greek mythology are so inaccurate like what's the point of Hades if it's gonna be so unfaithful to these figures"
Supergiant games:
Some nerd: Holy fuck
