GOT7 JB, Jinyoung “Would like to applaud those who gathered courage to come forward for the Me Too movement”

GOT7 members Jinyoung and JB revealed their thoughts on the Me Too movement.

Ahead of the new album ‘Eyes On You’, GOT7 sat down for an interview and spoke about various topics.

With regards to the Me Too movement that has spread throughout the entertainment industry, Jinyoung said, “I would like to applaud all the people who gathered up courage to come forward and talk about it.”

He added, “It’s not just in the Arts world or the entertainment world. I believe it is pain that is hidden everywhere. I hope that after the Me Too movement, (victims) would be able to relieve/let out the pain and confidently rise up. The Me Too movement has a good influence so I hope it spreads out to the society at large. I support it.”

JB said ” I hope that unsavoury/shameful things like these cease to exist. I thought about how I should grow up right myself. I also thought of when I move forward and become a sunbae, I hope to become a role model that has no shameful matters.”

When asked if JYP Entertainment had education regarding this topic, he said, “In our company, there are various programmes (for trainees and artists). From when we were trainees, we received sexual education. You can also get (a program for) ‘mental care’. To JYP, your character is of utmost importance. He’s always talking about it and he gives a lot of advices.”

GOT7 will be releasing their new album ‘Eyes On You’ at 6PM of 12th March on various music charts.

Clearing up common things people use/say against Ronnie Radke :)

• “Ronnie Radke is a rapist”

They were only accusations. Nothing is fact, keep that in check before you open your mouth.

• “Ronnie Radke is a woman beater”

There is no evidence of him ever abusing his girlfriend. Again, it’s all about facts. The charges against him were dropped in the end.

• “Ronnie Radke is a murderer”

He only witnessed the killing, he never did anything himself. He does say that he never should have gone to the desert in the first place, however, and he admits to his mistakes and has done his time for them.

• “Ronnie Radke is an asshole”

People seem to use this one because of all the rumors and lies they hear about him on the internet. But do you really know anything about him? Or are you just saying it because it’s the popular belief? Try watching some interviews or looking at his social medias. Does he have a big ego? Yes. But does he seem like such a bad guy? I’d say no.

• As for the famous mic stand incident:

it’s in the past and he’s made his apologies. It wasn’t his intention to harm anyone. Move on and stop using it to attack him.

And while it’s difficult to hear this truth, it is essential that you accept it. Because every second that goes by in which you don’t, is a second of your precious and finite life that you risk wasting. So I’m going to say it once more, and this time try as hard as you can to believe me. You, yes you, will die. And there is nothing you can do to stop it.
