My new album is out now. Take Care Of Yourself And Others. These 23 tracks are my body of work from the last 4 years, most of them released as singles along the way leading up to the Take Care Of Yourself EP. If you buy the vinyl, there's one more bonus track that does not appear on streaming services. Also, the vinyl looks pretty sick, you should check it out. Promise you have never seen an Autumn Leaf colored vinyl.....
If you have never heard my music, "The Glory Years Aren't Over" is a good place to start.
Much love, please spread the word, and I hope you love the new record. This family is growing more lately than ever before DO

When I was making this EP I asked myself, how do I let people know that I’m back for good? I get a lot of messages like hey man you quit music, come back — I want you guys to know I never quit. I just spent years of my life getting my writing and story to a point where I felt like I had something meaningful to say.
So in that spirit, some big news! Take Care Of Yourself EP is just the beginning. I’m starting a series of extended and alternate versions of the title track Take Care Of Yourself. These versions will be purposely dropping during the holidays when I’m normally quiet. They will feature artists I love, look up to, peers of mine, friends who have been through similar things… etc. And then I have something VERY special planned for the finale of this series.
Now introducing our first special guest…  Abstract . Hope you guys love it. Let me know what you think. MUCH LOVE. - Dylan

Take Care Of Yourself is out now. 4 words. 3 years. 8 songs. About 26 people involved. 45 versions of The Glory Years Aren't Over (seriously, we did that many). 5 different states across the US and a trip to South America. 1 year living alone in the woods. The list goes on. All I want you to do is listen to this thing. I hope it hits you: https://dylanowen.ffm.to/takecareofyourself If it moves you, tell a friend to tell a friend. This is a small family but it's growing more than ever before! And I've got quite a few things planned for this EP over the next few months, so we're not slowing down any time soon. Love you guys, Dylan

Dear friends, fans, followers, and lurkers of this page, a letter with big news. My new EP Take Care Of Yourself drops Thursday, December 1st! You ready?
This is my first complete-thought style project since spring 2019. Woah. That's three and a half years. A hell of a lot has happened in those years.
On a personal level, I lived alone upstate on the street I grew up on. Then lost love, explored the national parks, flew to California and Arizona a few times, met some incredible new friends. Meditated. Wrote poetry. Took film photos. Tried to find myself and didn't. But recorded some cool songs (if I do say so myself) in a series of small bedrooms along the way.
Like all of my projects, this one comes from the heart. I have so many big plans for it. A zine. Another road map to listening. Some incredible merch that goes beyond me. Secret ways we can spread the album and anyone who wants to help out on a street team level can. Ways to get my fans involved with it more than ever before. The list goes on... STARTING WITH A NEW SONG CALLED "THE BEST SHIPS" THIS THURSDAY. PRESAVE HERE: https://dylanowen.ffm.to/thebestships
Preorder and all of that good stuff will be announced in the next few days, but for now I just wanted to say thank you. For being here & for never giving up on this community and what these songs mean to a small but tightly-knit family across the globe. For me, you give my writing all of its meaning and then some. So much love & take care of yourselves.

BURN THIS WHOLE PLACE DOWN DROPS AT MIDNIGHT. Dear friends of mine, music saved my life as a kid, and I want it to do the same for others.
So big news: when Burn This Whole Place Down off Keep Your Friends Close drops, we’re going to do something we’ve never done before with this release.
We are going to help other young independent artists and musicians start their own fires. The entire proceeds of the first 7 days of this release on Spotify will be donated to the National Association for Music Education. This is a unique organization in that it addresses all aspects of music education.
Maybe we can inspire one other kid out there to pick up a guitar, some drumsticks, or a pen and a pad of paper.
Keep your friends close and BURN THIS WHOLE PLACE DOWN. Please share and stream like crazy when this song drops.
Much love! -Dylan

My new single “Old Friends, Reunited” is out now! Hope you love it as much as I do. Listen on Spotify today 🧡 This song is a toast to my old friends. If you want to change my life, well I won’t. “OLD FRIENDS, REUNITED” CREDITS Written and performed by Dylan Owen Produced by naebird, Wes Henry, and Nicole Rich Mixed by naebird Mastered by naebird Artwork by Ryan Falcoa Original photo by Paul Kingston (2012) A Nowhere Kids Creation By playing this today, you're a friend of mine and a part of my story. It's a lost track from Keep Your Friends Close. Friendships come and go, and change is natural. But I've always felt hesitant to lose anything at all. In the days of this song, I was kicking picket fence parts down and painting poets' words on them. My friends and I were up til 4 on some adventure, the next day listless. Maybe it's even more meaningful in retrospect, after the inevitable change, growth, and distance of maturity has happened. Otherwise I wouldn't be who I am today. This song is my strange way of saying thank you. To so many of my old friends. And to a town where the sky was pitch black, but the stars were bright.

The official music video for “Young Skins” is out now. And it’s my birthday today. Figured I’d do what I love most and share some music from the heart. Myself and my entire small town worked really hard on this one. Fans drove from hours away. People lended their houses, cars, spraypaint. Director Brian Petchers drove up from NYC to make sure the hometown was properly documented. Hope you love it and enjoy. Please watch and show some love. More soon...

July 2021,
Decided to pack up my things and hike the National Parks. As many as I could in one really jam-packed trip before stopping off in Los Angeles to record new music. I drove up the California coast on highway 101, which I guess is pretty famous, and then down the California inlands. Yosemite, Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon National Park, plus Big Sur as a bonus. I didn’t make it to Joshua Tree but now it’s on my bucket list. The world still has a lot of beauty preserved for us to witness (and participate in by leaving as little of a trace when we leave this earth as possible).
I’ve traveled roughly 6,574 miles in the last month and I’m not tired. I didn’t take much more than my There’s More To Life hat which is now adorned with a pin from the Yosemite’s gift shop. Didn’t even unpack my suitcase after flying from southern California to NYC; instead I took it directly to PA where I ended up recording music in the woods with 16 talented musicians who were strangers on the internet and I now call my friends.
The last 12 months have been particularly challenging for me. Covid aside, it’s been a rough patch in my life & in my twenties. My roaring twenties haven’t been quite as loud as I always hoped they’d be. But I’m getting loud in the new songs, new videos, and ideas I have for the ways I’m going to go about releasing the new music. I sincerely believe it’s never the wrong time for anyone in life to make a comeback. Wrote a lot about The Great Adventure on my last album, as a concept of something we expect to have in our lives. I don’t think we stumble upon it so much as create it, so I’m working hard to do that these days - in music and life. My new music is going to talk about some real honest, gritty and straight from the heart shit - I hope you are ready to get deep.
All photos taken on my $25 ebay film camera.
Live while you can.
Take care of yourself, Dylan

Bought a cheap $25 film camera to document the new era of making this next album. Get ready to see the convenience store runs, the DIY recording booths, a lot of shots of the Skinny Atlas basement studio, the solitary early mornings, our friends, families...and my lack of photography skills. NEWS ON NEW MUSIC SOON.

Hey friends, made a discord the other night on a whim with the help of a very cool fan. It's new to me but I want to start using it as a place we can all chat, hang out, post pet pictures, post music, share life stories, and talk about anything under the sun. Let's have fun. Join the DO discord here: https://discord.com/invite/pSqf6gy  And let's grow this family. Photo on film by Tom Flynn in my dining room. Love, D
