DWTS: Season 27 Finale
I am finally watching last week’s before tonight’s finale which I have to vote on before even seeing the dances. I’m so disappointed in this season.
I hope Evanna or Milo win. I think it’d be great if Evanna could win because Keo deserves to get a mirror ball.
I’ll still share my thoughts tomorrow ... hopefully.  Let me know what you all thought of this season.

DWTS: Season 27
I have yet to watch this week’s episode... I read about JP being eliminated and have refused to watch it.Maybe I will today... We will see. I am also annoyed about only the East Coast voting for the winner and only West Coast voting online. This season has just been odd.

DWTS Season 27: Halloween Night
I always love the Halloween episode. The costumes, the songs, the set décor. The opening number was cute and I like how involved the “stars” were for the number. But watching Joe sitting next to Evanna and being so behind on some simple moves with just his arms made me even more annoyed that he’s still around.
Milo and Witney- Contemporary – This is probably my favorite contemporary dance ever on the show. Witney did a great job with the choreo and Milo stepped up and nailed it. This perfect score was well deserved. That lift… wow!   10, 10, 10 = 30
John and Emma- Paso Doble - The judges were ridiculous with their comments on this dance. I do think some of his lines could have been sharper and stronger. He did accidently step on Emma’s dress but that happens sometimes.  This score is ridiculous. He should have had 7’s across the board if they were going to mark him that low. I agree with Tom’s 8.  6, 7, 6 = 19
DeMarcus and Lindsay- Salsa - DeMarcus could have had looser hips but that was really the only issue I had with this dance. This is probably my fave couple so I might be biased. Their lifts are always amazing. Choreo and story of this dance was fun. 8, 9, 9 = 26
Evanna and Keo- Tango - Wow!! Evanna really let go and embraced this dance!! I’m glad she started dancing for herself. This was her best dance and I agreed with Burno and CAI.  Loved this dance!! 10, 9, 10 = 29
Bobby and Sharna- Argentine Tango – This was Bobby’s best dance to date and I enjoyed it. I think this couple has good chemistry and I always like Bobby’s enthusiasm.  8, 7, 7 = 22
Mary Lou and Sasha- Tango – Len was right that she did lose her neck from time to time. As I type this we already know Mary Lou was sent home last night but she just needs to work on her frame. And I think Tom knew she was going home with the question he asked her.  8, 8, 8 = 24
Alexis and Alan- Jazz – I’m fine with a showmance if it’s real, but when they are faked and forced in our faces, it’s the dumbest thing in the world. They do have decent chemistry but I don’t believe they are into each other. And now onto the dance… it was cute but I just don’t connect with her and she bores me honestly. Cute choreo but what happened with song… did the singers forget the words? Oh okay Erin the track went out and Alan clearly hates this showmance stuff too. 9, 9, 9 = 27
Joe and Jenna- Argentine Tango - This was Joe’s best dance, but I’m just so sick of him still being on the show that I don’t care about his dances. That last lift I thought he was going to break Jenna for real. I do not think this dance was better than John’s though and should not have been scored higher. 8, 7, 7 = 22
Juan Pablo and Cheryl- Jive – Another fantastic dance from Juan Pablo and Cheryl. I love watching Cheryl create choreo when she has a good partner. This team is on fire. We have quite a few who could win and it’s sad they aren’t in a different season.  10, 10, 10 = 30
With about 3 minutes left we find out that our couples in jeopardy are  Mary Lou/Sasha and Alexis/Alan.  And Mary Lou is sent home. L I’m not that shocked because I have just accepted that Joe isn’t going home soon enough for me (that would have been week 1). I just don’t get it. Let me know your thoughts!!

DWTS: Disney Week
I really enjoyed the opening number… so cute and very Disney!
Alexis and Alan- Foxtrot – This was a very pretty dance. Alexis did lose her frame a couple of times. I thought this should have been a 27 but I haven’t been able to connect with Alexis this season so I’m not as drawn in by her. 10, 9, 10= 29
Juan Pablo and Cheryl- Viennese Waltz – They are one of my fave couples so I’m probably a little biased, but I really enjoyed this dance. I love that Juan Pablo embodies every character he portrays!! I’m happy with the score. 10, 9, 10= 29
DeMarcus and Lindsay- Charleston - Another of my fave couples. I thought DeMarcus did a very good job. I kind of agree with Len that there should have been more Charleston content but I usually hate when they count off for that since the star can’t help it. 9,8,9 = 26
Evanna and Keo- Jazz – Keo did a great job with the choreo for this and it felt more like Jazz than just a freestyle like most Jazz dances just look like freestyles! Someone could have thrown Evanna a 9! But I bet this week they will work on musicality and next week she’ll have a break through. Evanna is probably my fave female contestant. I want her to go far. 8, 8, 8 =24
Joe and Jenna- Jive - So much better than last week and he looked like he might care a little more this week. But I still don’t believe he wants to be there and people should just stop voting for him. But I give him an A for effort but a 6 on the dance. 6, 5, 6 = 17
Mary Lou and Sasha- Contemporary – I felt like this wasn’t quite as good as last week. She does tend to guard herself a bit more and still needs to really let go. I thought she had last week but she kind of went backwards in that respect.  9, 8, 8 =25
John and Emma- Quickstep – This was John’s best dance so far. He really embraced the character and the feel of the dance. The package made me worry that he was going to be not so good but I should know by now those packages are deceiving. Emma is doing a great job with him!  8, 8, 8 =24
Bobby and Sharna- Waltz – This might have been Bobby’s best dance. CAI is right that he does giggle and lift his shoulders in hold. Hopefully he can work this out. I do love how much he loves being a part of the show.  7, 7, 7 =21
Milo and Witney- Quickstep - I enjoyed this dance but they did lack body contact. The choreo on this one with the storyline was very cute.  9, 8, 10 = 27
With very little time left we are told the two couples in jeopardy are DeMarcus/Lindsay and Alexis/Alan. Tom reveals that no one is going home. I’m not even convinced that they were in the bottom two.
Next week is Halloween Week and I love a good Halloween episode!
Let me know your thoughts…

DWTS: Juniors
I don’t review this show but I do watch it and like to see everyone’s comments on tumblr. These kids are so good. I was sad to see Sophia Pippen go home this week. She was so good and I think she has more room to grow. I think it hurt her going first because she seriously got scored lower than I thought she should have this week.
Disney week was so much cuter with the kids than it is with the grown ups!!

DWTS: Season 27 - Trio Night
Seems a bit early for trios but I guess they want to shake it up this season! Let’s get right into it!
Juan Pablo, Cheryl and Melissa R.- Cha-cha – I was not a fan of this song and there could have been more cha cha content but I didn’t think it was a straight 8 performance. I actually enjoyed Melissa in this dance more than I ever did in her seasons probably because I wasn’t a fan of Tony. Melissa is a lovely, sweet person.   8, 8, 8 = 24
Tinashe, Brandon and Amy- Tango –Tinashe is a great dancer and Brandon has done a wonderful job as a first year pro but I still don’t connect with them and their dances. They do a fantastic job executing the dance and hitting all the steps but there is something lacking. I feel the same way about Alexis. I am curious if either of them will have a break through where I really feel their dance. It was also nice to see Amy back in the ballroom! 9, 8, 9 =26
John, Emma and Joey- Argentine Tango – Emma’s choreography was fantastic!!! Other than Emma’s hair getting caught on John’s vest this was a good dance. Yes the first lift wasn’t fantastic but it wasn’t as bad as some of these people have done in the past or as bad as they were letting on. I think they deserved at least an 8 or two. 7, 7, 7 = 21
Evanna, Keo and Scarlett- Salsa – Keo did a very good job with this trio choreo. So far this has been the best trio chemistry wise. I do think there could have been more hip action but overall very nice. I enjoy Evanna a lot. 8, 8, 8 = 24
DeMarcus, Lindsay and Rashad- Paso Doble - Lindsay did a great job with the choreo. This dance was ridiculously underscored.  DeMarcus did need to be a bit sharper in his movements. If trios had been a few weeks later after DeMarcus had been able to refine his lines this would be a different story. Still underscored by at least 2. 7, 7, 8 = 22
Mary Lou, Sasha and Nastia- Charleston – Mary Lou is definitely improving week to week! I thought she did a great job with a hard dance, a trio and having a third person who is as good as a pro. Sasha had some great choreo!  9, 8, 9 = 26
Milo, Witney and Riker- Salsa - This was the dance of the night. Witney did a great job with this choreo. I think this was the best matched trio of this season. Definitely deserved the highest score of the night. 10, 9, 10 = 29
Joe, Jenna and Jordan- Salsa – I’m with the judges… I don’t even know what to say about this. I understand them bringing in someone who wouldn’t show Joe up, but seriously Jordan didn’t do anything to help that trio. I don’t understand why Joe keeps getting votes when It’s painfully clear that HE DOES NOT WANT TO BE THERE!!!!!! I still can’t believe he wasn’t that first eliminated.  5, 5, 5 = 15
Alexis, Alan and Maddie- Tango - Having someone as good as Maddie dancing with Alexis was not a good thing for Alexis. Alan did do a great job with choreo. I understand what CAI meant about not dancing as one. Maddie is really fantastic and can do anything but I did find myself watching her more than anyone else. Like I said before, I don’t really connect with Alexis like Tinashe. 8, 8, 9 = 25
Bobby, Sharna and Lindsey- Cha-cha - This wasn’t really a cha cha to me. I felt more freestyle or jazz but I thought he did a good job. I like that Bobby is enjoying himself. 7, 6, 7 = 20
With two and a half minutes left in the show we are told that the couples in jeopardy are Evanna/Keo and Tinashe/Brandon. The fact that Joe hasn’t been in the bottom 2 yet is ridiculous and kind of infuriating. It’s sad to see a good dancer go so early. I do stand by that I think some people (like me) couldn’t connect with Tinashe and Brandon. I do wish they’d lasted longer because she was so good.
Now I hope everyone voted this week… well if you voted for anyone but Joe I hope you voted.
Let me know what you all thought!!!

DWTS: Season 27 - Most Memorable Year Night
Hey everyone! Sorry about last week’s show. I was on a staycation and didn’t get a chance to review that show. I was planning to blog today but I have so much work to get done that I just can’t.
I did enjoy the dances. These weren’t as emotional as some have been in the past. I was happy to see Bobby Bones have a break through and I did enjoy Juan Pablo getting the first perfect score.
Tonight’s episode should be reviewed by tomorrow.
I am also about to watch DWTS: Juniors from last night! That premiere was amazing. These kids are going all out!!

DWTS: Season 27 - Vegas Night
It’s been a crazy 2 weeks full of dancing! Let’s get right into it!
Juan Pablo and Cheryl- Foxtrot - Again I was surprised at these scores for the first couple. I was happy they got them. Juan Pablo has a few frame issues but he is handling the journey perfectly. Cheryl has always been one of my fave pros and I love seeing what she’s doing with JP! 9, 8, 9 = 26
Milo and Witney- Tango - Milo is continuing to impress me with every dance. The height difference did cause, as Len pointed out, Milo’s bum did stick out. He should definitely work on staying straight up and not hunching over to meet Witney!  9, 8, 9 = 26
Danelle and Artem- Quickstep - This was Danelle’s best dance! She definitely danced with more confidence and in the moment. Artem did such a good job teaching and dancing with her this season. She was a pleasure to watch and learn her story. She is a champion of the people! 7, 6, 6 = 19
Alexis and Alan- Salsa - Lifts were definitely better in this salsa than their AT. I think that Alexis danced it to safely. I still think they have very little chemistry and I need these salsas to be sexier! More sultry!  8, 8, 8 = 24
John and Emma- Jive - I was worried about John doing the jive. Some dances are just harder for some people. The concept was fantastic and Emma always does a great job with her partners. CAI was right that John does need to make his arms stonger and bigger. I was surprised they didn’t comment that they wanted more kicks and flicks. 7, 6, 7 = 20
DeMarcus and Lindsay- Quickstep - I love that DeMarcus was in a boyband when he was a kid!! I love it!!!  I thought this was a very good quickstep. He does need to work on his frame and his and Lindsay’s sizes might cause the troubles but they will figure it out. 8, 7, 8 = 23
Joe and Jenna- Jazz – This should have been one of his best dances since you can pretty much do anything you want, but he messed up steps and looked like he forgot things. He’s so not into this. I don’t know why he decided to do this. He needs to go home. Fanbase stop it!   6, 6, 6 = 18
Evanna and Keo- Jive - Keo is really killing it with choreo this season. And Evanna is really delivering. There were some moments that she was ahead of the music, but she’s such a good dancer. I really can’t wait to see what happens when they really blossom.  8, 8, 8 = 24
Bobby and Sharna- Quickstep - Poor Bobby… he’s just so darn excited! He needs to bring it down a bit and channel it into the dance. Sharna has her hands full this season but I’d rather him be that way than how Joe is. He is more fun to watch than Alexis, in my opinion. 7, 6, 6 = 19
Nancy and Val- Paso Doble - Len is correct that some finesse was lacking. She definitely had the intensity for the dance. Her shapes could have been a bit crisper. I’m not sure how the votes are going but I do worry a bit about them. 7, 6, 7 = 20
Tinashe and Brandon- Cha-cha - First off, her makeup is awesome. I knew Len would have issues with the little hip hop in the middle. Len is always so critical of stuff the other 2 love. Tinashe is fantastic and will be in the finale. I do think they need a little more chemistry but Brandon is on fire with his choreo. 9, 8, 9 = 26
Mary Lou and Sasha- Samba – Mary Lou had her breakthrough dance!! I always worry about people having the samba and jive because they are both so hard for me. Excited to see what they do next week! 8, 8, 8 = 24
So now we have less than 2 minutes and our in jeopardy couples (not necessarily the lowest scores) are: John & Emma and Danelle & Artem! I am really sad to see Danelle go. She was an inspiration to everyone. I hope she enjoyed her short journey. Honestly I think Joe should have been the one to go because he just doesn’t seem to want to be there.
Let me know what you all thought!!

DWTS: Season 27 Week 2 - New York Night
It’s New York Night…  Cute opening number…
DeMarcus and Lindsay- Foxtrot - I adore DeMarcus!! I didn’t like that he was going first because the scores are always lower for the first few couples. I really enjoyed this Foxtrot. He is improving week to week and that’s all we can ask for. I was shocked that Len didn’t comment on his bootay sticking out but I don’t think DeMarcus can help that. His frame can still use some work but for week 2 it was fantastic!! 8, 8, 8 =24
Danelle and Artem- Cha-cha – For having a hard week Danelle and Artem did a good job. Danelle’s solo was really good but after that she had a big misstep but got back on the right foot and count. She was a bit hesitant through the dance but I think that’s just her not being able to let go. I hope she gets another week to get more comfortable with this process.  6, 6, 6 =18
John and Emma- Charleston - As I said before I have a soft spot for John because of a childhood crush. I honestly was scared for him in this dance and worried I’d be embarrassed for him, but WOW!!! Emma did a great job with choreographing a Charleston that John could do without too much of that crazy stuff some people put in and enough that Len didn’t rip into them. I’ve never heard this song and this dance was just so adorable. John is a great showman! He has so much charm. I hope he can only improve on this and keep getting better! 8, 7, 8 =23
Nancy and Val- Cha-cha - I hate that Nancy has a stress fracture. She seemed to be holding back a little bit because of the injury instead of attacking it like I think she could have because she did end with more confidence. Overall a decent dance, she did seem more confident as the dance went on. 7, 7, 7 = 21
Alexis and Alan- Argentine Tango - I know I am in the minority here, but I wasn’t that crazy about this dance. The lifts were so messy and that tutu issue was not good. I did think it was a great way to combine the ballet and Argentine Tango. AT is one of my fave dance styles because of the passion between the two dancing… I don’t think Alexis and Alan have that great of chemistry. 8, 9, 8 = 25
Joe and Jenna- Foxtrot - This was better than last week but parts of it Joe just seemed like he walked through it. He does need to work on his “showmanship” and get more comfortable with performing. I honestly think it’s time for him to go this week.  5, 6, 6 =17
Tinashe and Brandon- Argentine Tango - This AT was better than A2’s AT. There was more chemistry here. Given the song they had Brandon did as much as of an AT as he could have. These lifts were fantastic and so are Tinashe’s lines. 9, 8, 9 = 26
Milo and Witney- Charleston - This was the dance of the night. Milo and Witney are fantastic. They have amazing chemistry and Milo is handling everything that Witney throws at him. To me he’s the best “younger” contestant this season. 9, 8, 9 = 26
Mary Lou and Sasha- Waltz – This was a pretty good waltz. I think Mary Lou needs to let go and trust Sasha more. I have to agree with CAI in her review with this dance. 8, 7, 7, = 22
Juan Pablo and Cheryl- Quickstep -  This is another couple I really enjoy this season. I think it was a fantastic quickstep. Juan Pablo does need to improve his frame and hands but he’s on a good track. I think Cheryl is the perfect partner for him. They have a great chemistry. 9, 8, 9 = 26
Evanna and Keo- Samba – I loved seeing her come out of her shell!! That was a great dance. Keo has to be excited to have a partner this great. She did a fantastic samba and I would personally be terrified of the samba. She owned that dance and her and Keo have a great partnership.  8, 8, 8 =24
Bobby and Sharna- Foxtrot - Bobby is so hilarious!!! I kind of understand him because I am from a town even smaller than Bobby and I understand his excitement. He needs to harness the energy he has into the dance and work on his frame and lines. He is a joy to watch though because of his enthusiasm! 7, 6, 7 = 21
I will say this whole throwing it to NYC shows to do random intros is annoying… I know they were trying to have synergy between primetime and daytime but I didn’t like it.
I hope you all enjoyed the show and are ready for Vegas Night tonight!
I’d love to hear your thoughts!!

DWTS: Season 27 Premiere Night 2
This recap is going to be much quicker than Night 1. The couples in jeopardy had to dance for more scores and live votes that only the East Coast can vote on. The 6 couples in jeopardy were: John & Emma, Mary Lou & Sasha, Danelle & Artem, Nikki & Gleb, Alexis & Alan and Nancy & Val.
Before the dance off started John & Emma were told they were safe! So now only 5 couples will dance... the same style as the night before and let’s see who improves.
Mary Lou & Sasha- Cha-cha - Lots of improvement from the night before. Mary Lou definitely lost the nerves and was more solid in her dance. Clearly still has room to improve but definitely better than the night before. 7, 7, 7 = 21
Danelle and Artem- Foxtrot - Overall better than the first night. Danelle had a little trouble in the beginning but settled into the dance. She was more at ease and I think her improvement lies all in how much she trusts Artem. 6, 6, 6 = 18
Nikki and Gleb- Salsa -  Nikki definitely improved and was less nervous. I loved that it looked like she was having fun!   6, 6, 6 = 18
Alexis and Alan- Jive - I don’t know why the show decided to put her in jeopardy. I always find it interesting who they put in jeopardy when they don’t say the bottom 2/3 or whatever. Both of her jives were great for first 2 dances. There was less improvement from night 1 to 2 for these two than all the other in jeopardy couples. 7, 8, 8 =23
Nancy and Val- Quickstep - This was probably the most improved dance for me. I agreed with the judges that they needed more body contact. I also felt Nancy’s frame was so much better.  7, 7, 7 = 21
After the dances and two couples that were left in jeopardy were Nikki & Gleb and Nancy & Val... Nikki got sent home guys! :(
The DWTS: Juniors cast was announced:
Miles Brown (“Black-ish” star)
Ariana Greenblatt (Young Gamora in “Avengers: Infinity War”)
Honey Boo Boo (Reality TV Star)
Akash Vukoti (Spelling Bee Champion)
Sky Brown (skateboarding prodigy)
Mandla Morris (son of Stevie Wonder)
Sophia Pippen (daughter of Scottie Pippen)
Hudson West (“General Hospital” star)
Mackenzie Ziegler (dancer Maddie Ziegler’s sister)
Tripp Johnston (Sarah Palin’s granddaughter)
Addison Osta Smith (“MasterChef Junior” champ)
Jason Maybaum (Disney Channel actor)
This is going to be so cute!!!

DWTS: Season 27 Premiere Night 1
We are back in the ballroom with a full cast!! Great premiere episode!
Mary Lou Retton & Sasha Farber – Cha Cha – As a little girl I loved Mary Lou. Watching her in the Olympics made me want to be a gymnast but I was not athletic at all. I think this is a great start for her and Sasha. I was surprised that Len was the one giving out a score higher than the other 2. I always feel bad for the first couple because I always think they get underscored. I hope she’s  around for a while. I want to see her journey. 6, 7, 6 = 19
Milo Manheim & Witney Carson – Cha Cha – I had no idea who this kid was until tonight. I read a review that said he’s the son of actress Camryn Manheim. I had no idea!!! He was a nice surprise when he started dancing. Milo could be fantastic and might win this thing if he can control those long limbs! I love how everyone is making a big deal out of Witney “walking” him through the cha cha in the package. It was the first day and good teachers would start with walking through the steps.  7, 6, 7 = 20
Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe – Foxtrot – I’m probably one of the only people who hasn’t seen all the Harry Potter movies and didn’t really know who Evanna was before this. Keo seemed so excited to be her partner and it was adorable. I thought she did a good job for the first dance and Len was a bit too harsh on her. I mean of course there are always things to work on but a 5 was just too low. Come on Grumpy Goodman! CAI was right about her shoulders and she does need to control them. I loved their outfits too!  7, 5, 6 = 18
Danelle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsev – Foxtrot – Danelle is incredible. It is scary enough to dance when you can see the steps your teacher is telling you to do. That was amazing. They have a great partnership which is what they need to get through this. She does need to relax her shoulders but who wouldn’t hold tension their first time dancing in front of a crowd when you are blind. Danelle is fantastic, has already had me in tears and I can’t wait to see her journey. 6, 6, 6 = 18
Bobby Bones & Sharna Burgess – Jive – I have never heard of this guy! By looking at him I thought he would be almost like Andy Dick and kind of awkward on his first dance. I was really impressed with how he moved and he did a good job. I think he got a too little excited when he finished the dance and I hope Sharna is okay.  7, 6, 7 = 20
Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke -  Salsa – These two have amazing chemistry and he definitely knows how to move. Cheryl is one of my fave all time pros. I definitely want him to stay around for a while. In fact I think Cheryl could win with him. I had a feeling he’d be good but He’s even better than I thought. He just needs to clean up his movements and he’s golden. 7, 7, 8 = 22
Nikki Glaser and Gleb Savchenko – Salsa – I think for someone who was scared to dance in public this was good. I think the judges were a bit harsh on her. She does need to let go and really embrace the dance but for a first time it wasn’t horrible. 6, 5, 6 = 17
Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten – Jive – Another “star” I have no idea who she is. I am happy that Alan is a pro again. Alexis had a great start. She needs to clean up her movements some but with 12.3 million followers she will probably win.  7, 7, 7 = 21
John Schneider and Emma Slater – Foxtrot – As a 3/4 year old, I was in love with “Bo Duke.” I even told my mom to name my baby brother “Bo”… she refused. That was probably for the best. I did get to meet him years later and he was very lovely. I was excited to see him on the show this year but as with any star I am excited for I worry they will be awful. He was pretty good. The foxtrot is a hard dance to start the season with and Len is much harsher on the ballroom dances than he is the Latin dances. 7, 5, 6 = 18
Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong – Jive – These contestants are making me feel old because I don’t know this performer either. I did know all the articts she said she went on tour with though. I always love seeing how excited a new pro is. I think Brandon lucked out in getting a great partner. They were fantastic and might just be the couple to beat this year. Once she refines everything she’s going to be on fiiiiiiiire. 8, 7, 8 = 23
Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy – Quickstep – Another of my faves from childhood. I loved “Facts of Life” while growing up. Jo was my fave girl because she didn’t take any crap. Bruno is ridiculous about her facial expressions… Ricki Lake was the worst with it and Nancy was nowhere near Ricki’s facial expressions. Nancy did a good job for her first dance. She just needs to trust herself, her body and the dance a bit more. 6, 6, 6  = 18
Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson –Quickstep – I don’t watch The Bachelorette anymore so I don’t know Joe. I think his nerves got the best of him and this was a really hard dance to start the show off with. He did get off in his moves and messed up a bit. I do think the 4 was way too harsh but he was the weakest dancer of the night. He will probably be the first person gone. Sorry Joe. 5, 4, 5 = 14
DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold – Cha Cha – I have to say it… I LOVE FOOTBALL PLAYERS ON THIS SHOW!!!!!  They are always so good and have great personalities. I am going to have to change my votes! I was throwing them toward John just for nostalgia but oh boy… DeMarcus is fantastic. I want him to win!!!  8, 7, 8 = 23
It was a great opening night!! We had some surprises and some disappointments. I’ve voted, I hope you did too. I really enjoy this cast! Let me know your thoughts!!

DWTS: Athletes
Hey everyone! I wasn’t planning to watch this season only because I was so mad that it was just 4 weeks... I ended up watching it all within a week after there was a post about being upset when Chris and Witney were eliminated.  I was sad when he left. I thought he was a great contestant. It’s sad this season was so short and we learned very little about these contestants.
The finale is about to air on the East Coast and I’ll probably watch later tonight or tomorrow. I am editing this... I didn’t realize they crowned them last night after the free styles. I thought tonight was another episode. This is ridiculous. Non one on the West Coast got to vote. Stupid!
I hope everyone has enjoyed this season and sorry I wasn’t around for it. I’m looking forward to the fall season and DWTS: Juniors. I have always thought it was adorable to watch kids dance ballroom.
I’d love to know what everyone’s thoughts on this season were. :)

DWTS: Season 25 Finale Part 2
it’s the night we have all been waiting for and will now be sad is happening because it means the season is over. Season 25 has been a great season because of our top 3!
I still believe that Terrell and Cheryl should have been in the top 4 but whatever.
Let’s get on with the performances.
Favorite Dance Round
Lindsey and Mark- Jive – This jive was just as fantastic the 2nd time as it was the first time. These 2 have a great partnership and it’s been great seeing Mark back in the ballroom again this season! I hope he can join us again in future seasons.  10, 10, 10 = 30
Frankie and Witney- Argentine Tango – I love how much Frankie has grown and loved this experience. This was even better than the first time. I adore this couple and I think any other season they could have won.  10, 10, 10 = 30
Jordan and Lindsay- Samba – Jordan started this competition good and he has finished it even better… great isn’t even a strong enough word. I had no idea he was from my home state of Alabama! Now I love him even more! His story and journey have been a pleasure to watch.  10, 10, 10 = 30
Fusion Round
Lindsey and Mark- Cha-cha/Tango – FABULOUS!! Mark always crushes the fusion round! Lindsey was a perfect muse for Mark this season. Perfection in this dance. 10, 10, 10 = 30
Frankie and Witney- Foxtrot/Tango – Another FANTASTIC dance in this fusion round. I think it’s ridiculous that Len and Bruno didn’t give him a 10.  10, 9, 9 = 28
Jordan and Lindsay- Salsa/Paso – I don’t even have words for this! The best fusion dance EVER!!!!   10, 10, 10 = 30
Our Season 25 Champion is:
JORDAN FISHER!! Congrats to Jordan and Lindsay on a fantastic season and a great win!!!!!
1st Runner up: Lindsey and Mark
2nd Runner up: Frankie and Witney
Season 26 returns in the Spring with an all athletes version! This could get interesting!! I hope you’ve all enjoyed the dancing this season as much as I have. Let me know your thoughts on this season and next season’s decision!

DWTS: Finale Night Part 1
It’s Finale Night (part 1)!! I can’t believe it’s already here! Julianne is back to judge the finale.
Redemption Round
Drew and Emma- Paso Doble (Bruno) – This was better than his first Paso. Drew definitely had more of the feel of the dance. He did have the one misstep in the turn. This was absolutely his best dance up to this point.  9, 9, 9, 9 = 36
Frankie and Witney- Foxtrot (Carrie Ann) – I loved this dance. The concept, the choreo, the costumes.. everything! Frankie was more confident and in control this time around. I really loved it and I would have given it a 10. He’s improved over the season and he just makes me happy when he dances! 10, 9, 10, 9 = 38
Music break for Pitbull and Fifth Harmony.
Jordan and Lindsay- Charleston (Len) – Jordan said… Challenge accepted! This kid is one of the best performers I’ve ever seen. Lindsay has been so fantastic in giving Jordan everything to make him unstoppable. They have one of the best partnerships I’ve ever seen! I am a little worried about his eye. I scratched my cornea years ago and his eye was puffy. It looked much better by performance night but in that package I was like get that kid some prescription eye drops and an eye patch.  10, 10, 10, 10 = 40
Lindsey and Mark- Quickstep (Julianne) – This was a lot of fun. I honestly don’t remember her first quickstep. I do not agree with CAI that Lindsay is the most improved. She started on a higher level than a lot of the others. I did like the concept and the costumes. I didn’t think it was 2 points higher than Frankie but I dunno if Frankie was underscored or Lindsey was overscored.  10, 10, 10, 10 = 40
Freestyle Round
Drew and Emma - Interesting concept for a freestyle. Len is correct that Drew is the most improved dancer on this show. This definitely was Drew’s best dance. He did have a few timing issues but nothing to be that upset about.   9, 10, 10, 10 = 39
Frankie and Witney - I enjoyed this and am glad Witney and Franki stuck to what they wanted and not what the producer was wanting them to do. Frankie’s best dance was his dark contemporary dance and I think character dances are what he excels in most. He did lose a little steam at the end. But I definitely would NOT have scored this less than Drew with his timing issues. 9, 9, 10, 10 = 38
Jordan and Lindsay - Jordan’s charisma is out of this world. I wasn’t overly excited by this freestyle but he is just so fun to watch and he nails every move and has perfect timing. The kid is just as close to perfection as possible!   10, 10, 10, 10 = 40
Lindsey and Mark – This was kind of exactly what I was expecting from Lindsey. She did a great job, but it wasn’t mind blowing (More freestyle thoughts later). I think it reflected who Lindsey is as a person and performer. 10, 10, 10, 10 = 40
Freestyles this year were kind of lacking for me. I wasn’t super impressed with any of them. The best dance of the night was Jordan and Lindsay’s redemption Charleston. I was way more excited by that than any freestyle. I like when the freestyles make me want to get up and dance along with them.
We are told that Jordan/Lindsay and Lindsey/Mark are into the finals to perform Tuesday Night.
Drew/Emma and Frankie/Witney are left in jeopardy with Drew eliminated one dance short of the final. He had a great journey and partnership with Emma that I did enjoy.

DWTS: Season 25 Semi-Finales
Pros Pick The Music Round
Drew and Emma – Tango – I agreed with Len that Drew’s technique was lacking. His frame fell a bit but I felt like the judges were harsher than needed and they sounded more like they’d give 7’s. I like these 2 and they have a great partnership and are definitely having fun and that always makes watching a couple even better. 8,8,8 = 24
Victoria and Val – Contemporary – This was a very sweet trio. Victoria’s story is absolutely amazing and miraculous. Contemporary is hard for me to really have much to say about it because I feel like anything goes. It was very pretty. 9,9,9 = 27
Jordan and Lindsay – Argentine Tango – I understand what Len was saying. I do think that it was a bit weird to have an Argentine Tango with this theme. It was a very good dance. There is nothing Jordan can’t do. I love watching him dance! And he seems like such a sweet kid! 9, 9, 10 = 28
Lindsey and Mark – Contemporary – This was another fabulous dance from these 2. I honestly don’t understand why it wasn’t a perfect score. I loved when the wind came on. I felt like the dance really elevated then. Like I’ve said before, I have missed Mark a lot in this competition! 10, 9, 10 = 29
Frankie and Witney – Salsa – CAI and Len were way too nitpicky on this. Frankie did a great job and looked so comfy and into the dance. I was worried about him doing salsa since the samba didn’t go do well. Frankie is one of my favorite contestants ever. This score was too low for me. 8, 8, 9 = 25
Iconic Dances
Drew and Emma – Jazz – recreating Corbin and Karina’s Jazz trio – I thought Drew did a great job with this dance. He was never going to be exactly like Corbin so changing it up was a fantastic idea. Drew looked more into and excited by this dance than anything else he’s done yet. Come on judges! 8, 8, 8 = 24
Victoria and Val –Charleston – recreating Amber and Derek’s Charleston – This was Victoria’s best dance. I still don’t find her memorable. I feel like CAI contradicted herself (shocker!) because she didn’t like that Drew didn’t do anything Corbin did, but was happy that Victoria only did one move of Amber and Derek’s dance. Whatever. This was a good dance. 9, 10, 10 = 29
Jordan and Lindsay – Jive- recreating Paige and Mark’s Jive – Perfection! Jordan is just so fantastic!! He and Lindsay have one of the best partnerships of all time. I agree with Bruno that this was better than the original. 10, 10, 10 = 30
Lindsey and Mark – Tango – recreating Meryl and Maks’ Tango I actually thought this was better than the original. I’m sure this next statement will be unpopular but to me Meryl is the most boring winner in a regular season (other boring winner was Melissa in the All-Star season). I find Lindsey more interesting in her movements. CAI’s comments are just ridiculous. I’m not sure why this wasn’t a perfect score.  9, 9, 10 = 28
Frankie and Witney – Paso Doble – recreating Apolo and Julianne’s Paso Doble – I think Len is being over critical with an 8. I don’t think it was perfect, but I don’t think it deserved an 8. He could work on shaping a bit and he does need to make his moves bigger. The 8 is still silly! 9, 8, 9 = 26
Tonight they tell us which couples are going to the finals:
 Lindsey and Mark
Drew and Emma
Jordan and Lindsay
Our couples that are left in jeopardy are Frankie/Witney and Victoria/Val – Victoria/Val are sent home. I hate to see how upset she was going home. Next week we are in the finals. Excited to see the freestyles!!!
