in honor of arcane season two coming out this weekend i’d like to take this opportunity to point out my favorite small detail in the series that people have almost definitely noticed but i have yet to see anyone talk about

in the first episode when we are introduced to silco, we see him with the little mechanism he uses to inject his eye. in this first scene, he is able to do the injection by himself in one very fast, very fluid motion. he doesn’t even stop what he’s saying to focus on it.

now, in episode seven we get to see him attempt to inject himself again. we as the audience can surmise that typically jinx helps him out, as in episode four she crawls into his lap and does it for him without a word. it comes across as part of their regular routine.

going back to episode seven, when silco attempts to do the injection himself, there is a beat where he struggles. his posture is awkward, his hands hesitate as they try to find the most comfortable position.

i think this is an excellent detail that showcases how silco’s relationship with jinx makes him weaker. he relies on her, allows her to do this intimate task. as a result it makes it harder for him to accomplish something that he used to be able to do with ease. i just think it’s neat!
