Lando may not always be likeable but I always find him endearing. And that makes up for a lot.
exactly, you get it. he tries so hard and struggles so openly and often comes up short, but keeps trying anyway, and it's led him to be one of the most successful drivers in the world. i'm proud of him. he's so wealthy and privileged, he could be terrible, but he's really not. he's got some inner core of kindness and generosity that i can see so clearly, but i guess is kind of hidden to others. he's complex, in that he's a sweetheart at the same time he's an asshole. he works hard and has such high standards for himself, and it makes me want to forgive him when he misspeaks or acts foolish on social media. he's trying and it's impossibly endearing, and it makes up for everything to me
