Jonathan Crane: Year One || Blushing Icon Set
I got this idea the other day when making an edit for someone who left a nice message about my blog. Why not make a whole icon set of adorable red faced Scarecrows? Of course the Mistress can’t resist a little fun, can she? These sweet blushing Scarecrow icons are free to use, but credit would be really appreciated! Please like/reblog if you use them. :)

Update on Mom!
Things are getting better, abet slowly and I don't know what the next few weeks holds because her current therapy program is ending and she may have to wait a long while to get re-certified. She's made a lot of improvement though, it's just one of those things that takes time.
With that said, she may be coming home soon and continuing physical therapy from home. This would be great for us both, but she does in in-home help from an additional person to aid in general care taking. I don't know how much, if any therapy or caretaking will be covered by her insurance. She's pretty determined to be out of the nursing home though. I'm gonna update ya'll soon on that
I would humbly ask for you guys to re-visit my gofundme OR commission me so I can help mom in this process... My ko-fi is MistressOfFear and I have lots of shop items and commission options. I also have paypal and cashapp All links in pinned post.

Jonathan’s Bedroom
I think we all like the theorize about Jonathan Crane’s childhood, but there’s one thing that has always bothered me.
This is NOT Jonathan Crane’s Bedroom.

But, how can that be, you ask? Clearly it must be his childhood bedroom, I mean there’s a dent in the bed! Why else would he have slept in this particular room? Well, Let me show you my evidence

Here was see Jonathan waking up in the middle of the night, prior to finding out his Great Grandmother’s dark secret. Let’s start analyzing the details. It’s dark, but there’s a couple key differences that I can cover.
Notice how his bed has a canopy. This is not present in the child’s bedroom shown above. Also, look at the placement of the window. In the room that Batman is inspecting, it’s placed directly over the bed. In the flashback, we see that this window is clearly to the right of Jonathan’s bed. (and it’s missing curtains) It’s good to note that these rooms are drawn at different angles. This is a subtle to clue into the reader that they are not the same place.

When Jonathan exits his room, he has to descend a giant set of staircases. One might assume that he lives on the second floor, but is that a skylight? Wait, let’s look at the manor from the outside to get a better idea.
The following two panels show to us that the Keeny Manor is shaped like the letter “L”, with one side of the house being clearly longer than the other. It is also three stories, and four if you include the attic. I do, this family used to be quite wealthy after all, they have suits of armor in their dining room as an example. So that attic is probably just as nice as the other three levels.

Take a look at where Great Granny has exited the manor and now look back at the angle of Jonathan looking out his window. While the window shapes never exactly align from panel to panel, it’s clear he’s least two stories high. Looking at the manor interior however, there’s no way he could be living on the second or third floor if there’s skylights drawn above him.

This proves not only the -approximate- placement on Jonathan’s room, but the level on which it resides. Jonathan’s room is not only at the far end of the old manor, but it is in the attic no less.
Yes. after analyzing this comic deeply (and I really love to analyze year one) I can say without a doubt, that his room must be in the attic. It’s a small room, with little to it. Maybe a desk to work and a near empty bookshelf. (One he dreams will someday be full of books)
….
Now, who does that other room belong to, you ask!? Simple. The boy great granny never had.

At least, that’s what I hypothesize. Great Grandma Keeny, who would not let Jonathan have candy on Halloween, would never have gifted him a giant teddy bear, much less all those other trinkets shown in the room. She would never have treated him so well. That room was a secret, and was one of the many “forbidden” rooms, much like the library. It was a sad, disturbing example of how messed up the Keenys truly were. It’s likely Jonathan used that room out of spite, and because he may never have ventured into it before that moment.
