“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 http://ift.tt/2fmp2L5

The most harmful things for liver health include environmental toxins, infectious organisms, alcohol and poor diet. Exposure to environmental toxins and chemicals can backlog the liver as it tries to neutralize and deactivate these poisonous molecules. These chemicals include xylene, benzene, disinfectant byproducts, heavy metals, pesticides and cigarette smoke (2). Infectious organisms are a major cause of liver stress and inflammation. The most well-known organisms are the hepatitis viruses with the hepatitis B & C viruses being the most dangerous. Any sort of chronic infection in the body such as lyme, influenza, aflatoxin and other mycotoxins, etc. have the ability to inflame and damage the liver as well http://ift.tt/2sZmMxF http://ift.tt/2fkzaDZ

When the body metabolizes sulfur compounds it produces ammonia as a byproduct. Ammonia is toxic to the body but most individuals are able to easily excrete it through the urine. Unfortunately, some individuals have particular genetic mutations that do not allow them to effectively metabolize and eliminate ammonia. http://ift.tt/1Q7GVoX http://ift.tt/2vtTzNv

The mitochondrion receives most recognition for its role in generating energy for cells in the body and they are commonly referred to as the powerhouse. Amazingly, the mitochondria in our cells have also generated a significant amount of attention from scientists and physicians in the most recent decade for its role in numerous other life processes. In fact, the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation suggests that only 3% of a single mitochondrion’s genetic makeup is designated to producing energy for that single cell http://ift.tt/2vD6s8i http://ift.tt/2wvnmCb

The exposure to many of these chemicals is normal and actually considered a hormetic stressor that improves our bodies ability to handle and adapt to stress. However, when we get an overabundance of these molecules, our system becomes overwhelmed and unable to adapt. The thyroid responds to signals from the hypothalamus and pituitary in order to appropriately maintain to the body’s metabolic needs. The hypothalamus is responsible for managing hunger, thirst, sleep, hormones, body temperature and other important functions. It is also constantly monitoring thyroid hormone levels and when more thyroid hormone is needed, it sends out a signal known as thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH). This hormone travels to the pituitary, which is our master hormone gland, and triggers it to release thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH). TSH is sent directly to the thyroid, which is then stimulated to produce more thyroid hormone, or T4 (6.) As mentioned before, standard thyroid testing will look at TSH and sometimes T4 and T3. A walk along the health and beauty aisle of your local grocery store will showcase dozens of popular hair care products. Unfortunately, most of the ingredients in these products are actually toxic chemicals that damage hair follicles and leach into our bloodstream causing further toxicity in our bodies. Healthy hair depends on healthy circulation and nutrition. Many natural plant based oils are incredibly beneficial for a full head of healthy hair. Are you ready for your cell phone’s performance to be taken to a whole new level? We are talking light speed connectivity. Videos, movies, and music that currently take you several minutes to download will soon only take a few seconds. This sounds exciting but are 5G phones safe? Welcome to the world of 5G the next exciting generation of cellular technology! Reports are that data speeds will be up to 100 times faster than is currently available with 4G and that 5G will be able to support a minimum of 100 billion devices in the new spectrum. Once 5G is deployed we’ll be able to move confidently into the era of the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT is primed to give us cars that drive themselves, refrigerators that can automatically restock your groceries when you’re getting low, washing machines that can order their own laundry soap, not to mention ultra-fast movie downloads and video streaming from anywhere you go, when you are on the go. As a society we are constantly pushing the boundaries of our technology. While we often make many things in our lives much more simple and efficient, we also tend to underperform safety studies before they are approved for mass use. http://ift.tt/2v5xana http://ift.tt/2vo8Mzr

Parkinson’s disease is the second most common degenerative disorder of the central nervous system after Alzheimer’s disease. It is estimated that 1% of individuals over the age of 65 are diagnosed with this disorder (1, 2). Natural lifestyle interventions can prevent and reverse Parkinson’s disease. This once rare disease has seen enormous growth over the last 30 years. In 2005, there were an estimated 4.1 million people worldwide with Parkinson’s disease. In 25 years, that number is predicted to climb to 8.7 million. As a country we spend over 23 billion dollars each year on Parkinson’s treatments. http://ift.tt/29cwwrN http://ift.tt/2u6FmWS
