This is the most recent (and most awkward) photo of my mom and I. We had such a good time together while she was visiting Vegas a couple weeks ago, and now that I think of it, it's probably the most time we've spent together since I lived at home 10 years ago. Yesterday I lost my aunt. A talented, patient and funny lady. My first piano teacher. Not only that, but in a little over a year I have lost both of my aunts. My mom has lost both of her sisters. My grandparents have to bury another daughter. More of my cousins have to say goodbye to their mothers. Another husband is left without a wife.
