you dont have to be a parent to understand the horror of walking into a room to discover that the baby crawled out of his crib and onto that pottery wheel you forgot to turn off, and while the baby is spinning around and around, the dog is sitting there all calm, like a person, gently using his paws to fashion the babys soft cartilage head into something a little more modern. it might be the classic tale of bad parenting, but lets see where the dog is going with this

I've got you, I 100% had it saved
Im sorry to hear that they crossed the rainbow bridge :(
12 years is amazing innings for a bun though
Your recent bunny post reminded me, I really love that drawing you did ages ago of you working out and your lil bum periscoping up to see what youre doing. (I believe its specifically the one where youre doing a squat with little barbells?)
That little doodle gives me life. That is all
i think i know which one you mean but i couldn't find it in my archives when i went looking! probably was a drawing of sudie, my extremely beloved bun of 12 years who passed away in 2020.

Can totally get to 20 on one hand if you count using the creases+finger tips
16 on the fingers (fingertip, crease, crease, crease) then on the thumb (fingertip, crease, crease, fist)
Which lets you get to like 400 on the hands
there IS actually a reason why seconds and minutes (and degrees for geometry) are in base 60 instead of base 10, and if you want to blame someone for that, blame the very specific way Babylonians counted with their fingers.

I see 2 subspecies though. Beasties with their jaws open at rest, and beasties with their jaws closed at rest.
An important distinction
these are all the same sort of animal. do you understand.
these are all small skittish creatures that love to bite and are found in drawers of garages and classrooms. they’re all related and in the same small biter family. weird little kids who play with them while they’re distracted and have empathy for them can tame them and become these beasts companions

Sometimes when I’m sad, I feel like a whole different self, so I made happy frog and sad frog to represent those states of mind. When I’m sad frog, I not only feel sad about the original problem, but I also feel sad about being sad frog (something I didn’t even realize was happening until I went to therapy!). This comic is a reminder that it really is okay to be sad frog. Sometimes happy frog is on a break, so be kind to your sad frog, okay? ♡
