I experienced an unfortunate consequence of being a Magnus Archives fan tonight.

I decided to go out and eat and when I got to the restaurant the waiters comes up to my table and says “Hi! My names Michael. What can I get for you today?”

The second he said his name I wanted to joke “Which one?” before remembering that there is a very decent likelihood that he would have no idea what I’m talking about and I would sound insane.

This is the danger of becoming a fan of a British horror podcast.

Oooo, good question. Some chapters cover multiple episodes’ worth of plot but I will also be doing some missing scenes and miscellaneous other poems, so hard to say. ~150? It’s a very rough estimate though.

Thought it was time I properly introduced myself. This is my sideblog for fandom and writing! Most of my writing is poetry and short stories. I also enjoy experimenting with epistolary fiction — stories told through correspondence, such as letters or emails.

My fandoms include (but are by no means limited to) The Magnus Archives, The Phantom of the Opera (both book and musical), and The Glass Scientists. I also love gothic literature and poetry :)

I’m the author behind Statements of Martin K. Blackwood, a retelling of The Magnus Archives through tape recordings of Martin’s poetry. The Archives are, of course, a bit odd around tape recorders, and Martin likes to share his own thoughts on current events alongside his poetry. Canon-compliant, rated teen for canon-typical violence/fears.
